It's looking good for at least a couple more finishes this year. I agree about the hand dyed threads and not matching the picture (and they're so expensive and can be hard to get here in Aus). I've decided that I won't worry about my choices but just choose the colour I want.

No, you're not the only one who doesn't care about the overdyed floss. The ones I have are simply being used for small ornaments or monochromatic designs. I'm not sure why they're so popular. Yay for all your finishes! Your retreat with Amy looked like such fun. I hope you're feeling better. ❤

Your finishes are so wonderful! I was so glad to see a video from you and it was a long one, my favorite! Don’t worry about your video be later, just do what you need to do to manage how you feel. There will be no condemnation from me and if there is from others then they need to just move on because they are not your friend. I have also been overwhelmed with all of my stitching collection since I have been collecting since the 70’s so you can imagine how much I have. Then during Covid I learned to quilt so I went down a big rabbit hole of buying fabric. I will be moving next month so I have been sorting through my charts, etc a little each day. I have three boxes that I will be giving to my stitch group tomorrow when we meet. It does feel good to downsize my stash even though many of the things I do still like but I have to be realistic that there is no way I could ever stitch everything I have. So I hope someone else will enjoy it. I like to use DMC most of the time even though I do have some colors of the over-dyed threads. I use them when I want but I love DMC. I love how your Bothy chicken is looking and you should be so proud of your finishes, you did really good. Hugs and happy stitching.

Yay another home visit! I love your long visits ( even if it takes me a few sit downs to enjoy them). You have done SO MUCH stitching since we last saw you, apparently disappearing is good for you. Even if we miss you. I was wondering if you could show us how you store your floss. It seems like you must have a full DMC/CSC collection and you work from that? I have to say you are the only person I have seen who can have my heart breaking for you one moment and then have me laughing out loud the next. I am so glad you don't hold back from who you are, we need to be reminded sometimes that we are not alone in the challenges. Take care and enjoy whatever you choose to stitch!

Hi Laura. Thank you for this update. Love your new art print! Amy rocks! What a great friend. The home retreat was a brilliant idea and you achieved a lot. Wilbur and the Christmas mug! Yay!! My white cat is still in the Ukraine postal system, but hopefully should be shipping soon. Re overdyed threads and cover pictures that don't match the stitched piece, yes! I agree it's super frustrating. I've started correcting that as I kit each project. I look at each colour that's called for, check to see where it occurs in the design, then switch it if it's 'wrong'. I do a final floss toss at the end to make sure nothing clashes, and only then start the piece. I enjoy stitching so much more that way and the finish looks a lot more like the photo! Dreaming Girl is so far along now. Well done! On mine, I've been filling in the spaces in her hair and have about 1.5 hours left to do on that. I'll move on to the top summer part after that. Reckon you'll beat me to the finish line 😘. See you soon. x ⚘️

Hi Laura, I had to tell you that I started doing the rotation you said your friend came up with. The one that is the 3-day rotation. I'm loving it. It gives the projects a decent amount of attention and yet there is a change-up every 3 days. I also like that the focus piece gets a day. Thanks for sharing that plan.

My mother, when I was growing up, always made Portuguese Sweet Bread, especially for Easter and the holidays. I so miss it so much. I can make it, but it wouldn’t be exactly her recipe. I have had the same experience with dyed threads. Having no experience with them, I ordered all the dyed threads with all 12 of the Month2Month patterns. Classic Colorworks has almost no variegated colors, so what is the point of paying more money for less threads that you do not even really like the colors. I have done 5 months in a year and a half. I have 2 others close to a finish. Now do not get me wrong-I love the patterns, just not the threads.

I have had the same experience with dyed threads. Having no experience with them, I ordered all the dyed threads with all 12 of the Month2Month patterns. Classic Colorworks has almost no variegated colors, so what is the point of paying more money for less threads that you do not even really like the colors. I have done 5 months in a year and a half. I have 2 others close to a finish. Now do not get me wrong-I love the patterns, just not the threads.

Loppuvuosi kyllä varmasti sujuu ahkerasti pistellen. Niin haluttaa saada valmiiksi varsinkin näitä vanhoja töitä. Välillä kyllä tuntuu että prosentit ei kasva vaikka kuinka monta kertaa lisäisi sen 500 pistoa.
