What a wonderful video Laura!! I have already watched it twice and will probably watch it again as I often will watch your videos again at night when I can’t sleep. Your voice is very pleasing and calming so your videos are perfect. I vote for the blue fabric background on the project that you were deciding between it and the yellow. I will be praying for you and your husband that his work contract will be renewed or another one will be made available. God always looks after us in our time of need. I am so glad that you continue to swim for exercise and that you attend retreats and events like the Jingle Ball. I can tell that all these things make you happy even though you experience anxiety beforehand. Keep pushing forward. Your finishes are all so beautiful and you managed to get so many completed!! Good for you. It was fun to see your new haul too, so many pretty ones. The online quilt group that I belong to is planning a group quilt SAL and also one that is cross stitch. The cross stitch pattern that was selected is by La-D-Da is called One Stitch at a Time, so that will also be fun. All of my cross stitch and quilting is packed for my move in January so I may be a little late starting but that will be okay. We are also doing a “Quilt Bingo” card like people do in cross stitch to focus on getting our quilt projects finished that we have started so I will be filling out my Bingo card too. Laura, I pray God’s grace and blessings for 2025 for you and your husband. Take care and I look forward to your next video whenever it comes. Hugs………………………..
Laura, what an absolute pleasure this video was - really lovely to check in with you and all your projects, and a treat at 4 hours! I am really looking forward to seeing what you get up to in 2025 😊 xxx
It sure was a very very very long video. It was so funny that when I started putting it together and looked at my little videos, I worried that it would be a short one. Couldn't believe it when at the end it was over 4 hours long. LOL. I am so excited about next year's stitching! I must say that I am cheating a bit and have already started working on one of the January wipgo picks today. +giggles+ I just couldn't wait any longer.
It is not possible for your videos to be too long. I popped this back on every time I got in the car this week. Happy New Year Laura! ❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing your stitching with us this year
Hi Laura. Thank you for the lovely long visit. Yes, I was a good girl: I've stitched every day for 42 days! Congratulations! 31 finishes!!! And a couple more set up for 2025! Yay! Your parrot is amazing and the black cat is a real achievement. Love your Wild Rosemary start. You asked 'what's the point of me?' I believe we're here to lift up others. You do that in your videos and in person. Thank you! Re your snow globe on plastic canvas: change it to paper or aida? Go Amy! What a friend! My faves are Lace Poppies, Red (fox) and Lunar Cat (I paused and bought that one 🙄). New purchase faves: Fog, Sep-Nov triptych, December month. ⚘️
Wow!!!! That is some excellent stitching!!! ❤❤❤ I do hope that you will have the most wonderful stitchy year 2025. I really am very keen to get working on those old wips, even though they are also making me nervous as they all have been troublesome ones in one way or another. But I think that I haven't set any crazy goals, so that I won't have failures happening already in January. Just happy to get more stitching done and keep myself busy while Paul is looking for work. ❤ Thank you so so much for letting me know which ones of the patterns you liked the most!!! i absolutely love hearing that! That triptych really is a lovely one.
+giggles+ It sure would have been quite the marathon to watch. LOL. My mum can't understand how I have so much to talk about when it is just all about stitching, but she understands even less why people want to watch me talk about stitching. ❤
Oh my Laura, this video was so beautiful ❤ I'm sorry though you have rough times, just know you are not alone, hugs. So glad you continued with the black kitty it's adorable. You the amazing projects to keep yourself busy for years to come. Merry Christmas ❤🎄
Thank you so much Angela. I am so very happy that you enjoy this looooooooooong video! Did it feel never ending? LOL. I really am so excited to work on the old wips next year. A bit nervous, too, as those wips have been the troublesome ones, but it really is time to get them done, or at least make a good amount of progress on each one. Wishing you a wonderful stitchy new year! ❤
Wishing you, hubby and kitties a healthy, happy 2025. I really enjoy your videos and all the wonderful, whimsical and scenic patterns you stitch. Your finishes are beautiful. The chicken on the speckled fabric turned out great, and your WIP of the parrot looks fabulous. Take care, and happy stitching, Arleen
I made it! Such a great, long, lovely home visit! 🤗 I have had my eye on Reindeer Games by Lindy Stitches, too - so cute & quirky! And that Red Rose Hip blackwork kit… 😍 I’m totally going to try your method of stitching the color with “currently the most” stitches with Beartime Stories. I’m excited to see how that’ll go. I still might alternate in some of the smaller colors when I’m feeling more like counting. Have a wonderful new year!
Woohoo!!!! It sure was a very very very long one. LOL. And when I started making it, I worried I wouldn't have enough for a nice video. Couldn't believe it when we finished editing and it was over four hours long. My mom just can't understand how I can have so many things to talk about and more so, how there are actually people who watch these long videos. +giggles+ It really is so nice to do all these different methods to get stitches done. Sometimes I do your typewriter method, or if I have a kit, I do stitches in the order the colours are on the card, or do the colour with the leas stitches or the most etc. It is so nice to keep changing it even when working on the same project. ❤
I am still feeling so amazingly thrilled by how much of it I got done in a month. Woohoo!!! Biathlon season will be back on January 10th, so I hope to finish it soon after that.
Thank you so so much! I am very excited about next year's stitching. So many fun projects to work on. Many of them I haven't worked on for a long time.
Yay I'm so excited to see such a long video... I'm not going to watch it now.. I'm saving it for Christmas and I'll nibble away at it through the hols. I love a good long home visit and I love to see how your getting on... what a treat 😊
Yes! A super epic home visit, I shall watch over the next few days, so looking forward to it, have a lovely Christmas, you and Paul, be tuning in tomorrow ❤❤❤
Hi Laura. What an unexpected Christmas present was this video. So many finishes, amazing. You are an inspiration. I finished one wip while watching :D. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year 😘
Yippee!!!! Gosh, it is so exciting that you got a finish while watching. That makes me so happy!!! ❤❤❤ I am still feeling so happy about managing to finally get a video out. I didn't expect it to be so long. LOL.
I enjoyed your video in 4 increments! I do always try to watch all the way through, even if I have to pause it and come back. The choice I’d make with the bird and butterfly is the one with the yellow background. I would stitch that one first. See you next year! 2025 🎉
That yellow background really is nice, isn't it? Well, both are beautiful. ❤❤❤ I am very excited about stitching plans for next year. Can't wait to get going. Wipgo numbers got called already, so I know which two wips I will work on in January.
It has been wonderful to just finally have a rest and stitch with your company after all the stress and socializing of Christmas! I'm in heaven now and I wanna thank you and wish you happy holidays! It has been a true pleasure to see your videos this year and i will for sure keep around for the next year :) a hugeee hug from Portugal just for you Laura!!
I am so so glad that I could keep you company, especially to relax after socialising. Oh boy, I am always so exhausted when I socialise. It can be so fun, but so tiring. Wishing you a wonderful stitchy new year!!!! ❤

I am so so glad that you enjoyed it!! I am very happy that we got to spend some stitching time together. +giggle+ I worked on the parrot some more today and now it will go wait for mid-January when the biathlon season recommences. ❤
Happy New Year! I brought in the new year and new years day morning stitching with your video. Love and peace to you and your husband and we all look forward to your next home visit soon with great news about your husband's work.
Yippee!!! I got to bring in the new year with you! How nice is that! ❤ So so so hope that 2025 will be a wonderful year. Of course, it is starting for me stress, but I am trying to keep busy stitching...
Merry Merry Christmas!!! I wish I could send you photos. I got my wish for Christmas, wonderful fluffy snow. My birthday is tomorrow and I'd wished for snow for that as well. It's been forever that we've had a white Christmas. I'm enjoying you and your beautiful stitching as I finish wrapping the last of the treats. I'm always late wrapping lol.
Oooh, white fluffy snow... exactly what Christmas should be like! I do hope you had a wonderful Christmas and also wishing you a wonderful stitchy new year! ❤
Thank you so so so much!!! I am so very happy that you enjoy watching these videos, even when they reach the mega movie length. LOL. Merry Christmas to you, too! ❤
Super update Laura, the parrot is amazing! I can’t even begin to comment on everything I loved as I more or less loved it all ❤ Hope your husbands employment situation is sorted out, that’s a stressful situation for him indeed. I’ll take this opportunity to wish you a happy new year, and so looking forward to 2025 to see what you’re working on, and all the finishes… I too am stitching what I have already but might need fabric and threads.. so I tell myself anyway 😂 Have a good weekend xx
Yippee!!! It makes me so so so happy that you liked the video. WOohoo!!! It is definitely a stressful way to start the new year, but I so hope that a new job opportunity will pop up sometime in January. I reckon I can manage to not go crazy with worrying for a month, but once February arrives, things will get harder. Ugh. But for now, I will just keep on stitching. At least January will keep me very busy with stitching with two challenges starting. Wishing you the most wonderful stitchy new year! ❤
I was just sitting here replying to comments as yours popped up!!! You managed to watch the whole four hours? Eeeeeeek! +grin+ I hope that you got lots stitched and of course, that enormous hoop... it always makes me smile! I will see you soon hopefully at the next meet up! ❤
@@istitchbirdsYes absolutely coming to the next meet-up! I also have a big stash of kits and patterns to give out (I've set a couple of the bird ones aside for you to look at first ❤)
Thanks for another wonderful video. I'm really hoping that Paul picks up another contract really soon. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and happy stitching!
Thank you so so much Emily! I do hope that something will come up in January, so that my anxiety won't go through the roof. Eeeek! But no matter what, I will keep on stitching. ❤
Merry Christmas Laura! Finished watching your marathon under the air conditioner - it's already hot so I hope you're able to find somewhere cool to stitch. Well done on so many finishes (and your parrot looks amazing - so close to finished!)
Oh my, you made it through the whole four hours!!! Eeeek! ❤ I have been so grateful for the clouds today. It has made the day bearable... otherwise I would have struggled so much! I worked on the parrot today and it now has less than 900 stitches left. I will work on it again next month when biathlon season resumes mid-January.
Well as soon as I got home I got around to visiting with you 💜 I pretty much caught up on everything you’ve been up to since I last saw you ☺️ I didn’t make it to the last stitchy meet up either. The weather has been terribly humid recently! I find it harder to breathe with each extra degree. And I don’t stitch as much even though I want to add I can’t get comfortable. Thankfully we’ve had a extra few days reprieve this time. I loved seeing all your stitching as always and I was motivated to stitch my rto while I was watching 🪡 ✨ So much more I could say but it’d be an essay if I don’t stop 😅 Til next time, happy stitching and I hope a new contract is just around the corner for Paul ☺️🪡✨💜
Woohoo!!! There was definitely plenty for you watch. +giggles+ I was so thrilled to finally get a video done and couldn't believe how long it turned out. Over four hours!!! I hope that you got lots of stitching done while watching and listening. ❤ I couldn't go to the December meet up either. I caught a flu and ugh, I just felt so sick for a week. I am still bummed about it as I ended up letting a lot of food go to waste as i just didn't feel like eating much and didn't feel up to dealing with it. Oh well, it is not the end of the world. I really hope that a job opportunity will appear for Paul soon when people are back in the office again. sigh. I will try really hard to not stress too much. At least I have lots and lots of stitching to do! Hopefully I will see you in a couple of weeks!
Only about 900 stitches left of the parrot now. Yippee!! I will be working on it again mid-January and hopefully I will have a finish then. Very excited!
i'm just gonna go ahead and say it : i miss you! i do hope you are doing ok and that you are having plenty of rest and all, so no pressure. sending love from france (it is sooo gloomy today i'm dying but you would love it! 😅)
@@kristinalothman295 It really wasn’t a day for Sweden. I was so happy that the Finnish women did well. They are starting to improve as a team and it is so exciting to see! Yippee!!! I am so excited that biathlon is back from the break again. I marked all the biathlon days on my calendar now and picked a new wip to work on those days. Yippee!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I Laura! I hope you had a very merry Christmas! I was very excited to have a home visit from you for the holiday! We haven’t celebrated Christmas yet because my sons celebrate with their wives’ families on Christmas Day. So we’ll be celebrating on December 28th. I love the yellow, green and orange socks your mom knitted for you! So cheerful! I want to get back to knitting socks again in 2025. I need to tell you I truly thought that picture was of a tree frog on your P and P SAL! I didn’t see the flowers in a vase until you pointed it out!😂😂. I really like the way the wooden chicken kit was put together. Can you tell me where that kit is from? I’d like to buy it. You made such great progress with your finishes! 31 finishes is amazing! I have 21 finishes, so you did much better than me! I can’t wait to see the parrot finished in the new year! Are you doing a new start for the new year? I want to, but I can’t decide which one! I love those black work kits your friend gave you! So generous. I’ve ever done blackwork. Maybe next year? I hope your days are filled with laughter and smiles. ❤
Hello, lovely Jackie!!! ❤ Christmas time was definitely difficult... it always seems to be, as I don't quite know what to do and I miss my family and Finland. sigh. I felt so miserable again. sigh. It didn't help that I was also ill for a week before that and the bad sleep... oh my... I am starting to feel better now in general, which is so great! Very excited about all the January stitching. YIPPEE!!!! I am so glad that I wasn't the only one who thought that stitched painting was a frog. LOL. I didn't even occur to me that it could be something else. I never ever would have thought it was a vase with roses unless my friend had pointed it out. +giggles+ Hmm... I got the wooden chicken from my friend in the advent calendar swap last year, but I am pretty sure it would be from etsy. There are a few Ukrainian shops selling such things. If i remember, i will have a look later and will send you a link if I find it! I think you definitely need to try blackwork. Maybe get one of Leslie Teare's patterns, as they really are so pretty and fun to stitch as they have the combination of cross stitch and blackwork. I have decided not to do a new start for new year. As Brringo gets going immediately in January, there isn't really the time to make a decent start on a new project. Wishing you the most wonderful stitchy new year! ❤
I think you should stitch the Witch Stitchers pattern called "Summer Sucks"! I made it this year and I love it because I also hate summer! Here in Canada we are deep into winter and it hurts your face to go outside... but I'd prefer this weather anyday! I enjoyed hearing about your speed dating experience. I wish i would have got matched with you! I would have been so shocked to see you... or Teresa Kogut pop up! i have never seen so many beautiful patterns in my life... thank you for sharing them with us! Have a wonderful holiday and I look forward to the first home visit of 2025!
LOOOOL. Omg, that patterns certainly sounds like one for me! Should work on it on the hottest days only. So funny! Oooh, i so wish we had been matched in the speed dating! That would have been so fun. Yes, i was definitely shocked when Teresa Kogut popped up... twice!! Well, who knows, maybe at the next Jingle Ball. I am sure I will be ready to do some speed dating again by then. ❤
Me siis varmasti katottais kaikki nekin videot missä esittelisit pelkästään sun keittokirjoja. 😂 Me molemmat myös tykätään keittokirjoista ja ehkä kiitos sinun, olemme hullaantuneet haalimaan niitä(kin).😉
Eikä!!! Ihan oikeasti?

@ things are never as difficult as you imagine, take one day at a time , everything will fall into place x
You're back!!!!! Yippee and a nice long one too!! ❤❤❤
I couldn't believe how fast you saw it pop up!!! ❤
Lauras biggest fan 🤭🤣🤣🤣@@istitchbirds
Merry Christmas Laura🎉🎅🤶. Can't wait to catch up with you in person - you keep me inspired to keep on with my full coverage piece 😊
I also have a big stash of kits and patterns to give out (I've set a couple of the bird ones aside for you to look at first ❤)
@ oooh! Very exciting!
Your stitching is so beautiful and perfect. Even your French knots look good
Oh no no... my French knots are definitely not good. LOL. But thank you very much!!!
Merry Christmas 😘🫶❣️🎅🎄🕊️🌎🦌⭐️🎁
Merry Christmas to you, too!!! ❤
I get excited when I see your next video is up. Thank you for sharing.
Yay!!! That makes me happy. ❤ Gosh, it was quite an effort to get the video done and I can't believe how long it is. LOL.
Thank you 🙏!!!
Eeeek! ❤
I have been so grateful for the clouds today.
I loved seeing all your stitching as always and I was motivated to stitch my rto while I was watching 🪡 ✨
So much more I could say but it’d be an essay if I don’t stop 😅 Til next time, happy stitching and I hope a new contract is just around the corner for Paul
☺️🪡✨💜
Woohoo!!! There was definitely plenty for you watch. +giggles+ I was so thrilled to finally get a video done and couldn't believe how long it turned out. Over four hours!!! I hope that you got lots of stitching done while watching and listening. ❤
I couldn't go to the December meet up either.
Merry Christmas to you and Paul from Arkansas! Thanks for the great video.
Thank you!!! I hope you had wonderful Christmas. ❤
Merry Christmas! The parrot is gorgeous!
Only about 900 stitches left of the parrot now. Yippee!! I will be working on it again mid-January and hopefully I will have a finish then. Very excited!
Congratulations on your finishes!
Thank you very much. ❤ It really was so wonderful to get so many things finished. I am still amazed!
Merry Christmas to you and your family and friends!!!
Happy New Year!
i'm just gonna go ahead and say it : i miss you!
i do hope you are doing ok and that you are having plenty of rest and all, so no pressure. sending love from france (it is sooo gloomy today i'm dying but you would love it! 😅)
I know that you watch biathlon. I do also do. The Swedish team usually do well. But not today. Congrats to your finish girl Minkinen!
Christmas time was definitely difficult... it always seems to be, as I don't quite know what to do and I miss my family and Finland.
+giggles+
Hmm...
Happy New Year! Can’t wait for parrot finish.
I so can't wait to finish it, too!!! I often seem to have a bigger January finish and I guess this will be that one in 2025.
Beautiful work ❤
Thank you so much!!! ❤
Hahaha! I was wondering what was in that painting as well! I love it!
+grin+ I totally thought it was a frog!!! Didn't even occur to me that it would be something else. LOL.
Merry Christmas!
Same to you!
Fantastic
I'm working on "Luna Cat" now. So love her.
No way!!!! Gosh, we have so many of the same projects. I love it!!!! ❤❤❤
We are sisters from different moms😄!
Me siis varmasti katottais kaikki nekin videot missä esittelisit pelkästään sun keittokirjoja. 😂 Me molemmat myös tykätään keittokirjoista ja ehkä kiitos sinun, olemme hullaantuneet haalimaan niitä(kin).😉
Eikä!!! Ihan oikeasti?
Merry Christmas!
Same to you!
