Because of this mistake, YOU lost much more time than the BMW cost you. In addition, you overtook the BMW on the right in tourist traffic. This is dangerous and therefore forbidden. NOT COOL!

Sorry not posible to ser the link it just sents me to the video. I think the bmw actually makes a mistake indicates to the right and moves to the left so u can see that I release the throttle but because he is not clear I overtake him in the wrong side. Just doble check it

The cornering speed its good for the currenr set up of the suspension and the tyres that I was running. I still think it could potentially do a bit better with a better suspension and maybe sole 052.
Also will be very nice to add some extra aero

Hats off from one Evo driver to another. Your car is glued to the ground. I am waiting on my new 245/17 tyres on the evo 9 enkeis, here in Cyprus the local track is only 2.2km long. Gonna upgrade all bushings and ARBs to Whiteline too. As you said in the comment, the potential of the now 20 years old Evo 8 is unlimited. I feel so happy and lucky to be able to have an Evo, once again well done man that was a great lap!
Hello mate. Fully unlimited you just need to work on the car to extract the full potential. I think with my current set up the car could do easy a 7:17-7:18 but its a matter of new tyres and having them warm up from start. I am not running bushings or whiteline on my car. The main trick its alignment and weight reduction.

@@adolforoldan_evo totally agree, the alignment helped me shave 3 seconds, and 2022 was my first time ever on a track with a car. It's a dream to drive it on the Nordschleife!
The most important thing to make evos faster is weight and big tyres with also the alignment. And even more in the nurburgring because of the high speed corners. Mainly you should be running min of 255 that you can run on the stock car. But for me ideally its at least 275
@@adolforoldan_evo I will try 245 this season and I will move to wider if necessary. I use the car almost daily so I don't wanna modify it too much. And unfortunately a roll cage is not street legal here in Cyprus.
Hi Mate, I think its easy enought to do 265 on the original car withou modifing a lot just maybe a bit of work in the back on the car. I will warranty that size different makes the car behaviour super impressive. Obviusly running a good tyre. I was with no rollcage until 2 years ago and I was racing without it on timeattack, I think its not ideal but you could o it. Any questions mate let me know I love the evo community and helping is mega.

I am not sure about the Taxi to be honest I tried to do it in the safest way possible for both of us. But I think the opinions from the public will be a bit different depending on the side that you take. From my perspective I was running on my fastest lap ever and wanted to push it.

La verdad que mucho esfuerzo puesto en esta vuelta y aun asi con algo de mala suerte pero bueno. Yo creo que tendremos aun margen el año que viene . Para mi aun hay bastante donde bajar q esas ruedas tenian 70-80 vueltas y luego ademas hay algunos errores

Si la verdad q si fue brutal y eso q el bmw me molesta y el ktm mas de lo q parece al llevarlo tan cerca en una zona de 5-6 a fondo da respeto llevar a alguien
@@adolforoldan_evo ya, en lo primero que me fije del bmw es si iba a estorbar y efectivamente lo hizo y es verdad que lo del ktm fue una putada porque se nota que pierdes algo de confianza, pero un asi es un tiempazo
@@izd4b473 si el BMW me molesta desde la bajada xq al final no aprietas lo mismo si llevas delante a alguien en una zona tan delicada y tan rapida como esa q normalmente hago casi 240 en esa bajada. No se y luego como que le cuesta quitarse despues de la de izquierdas hace cosas raras y me hace dudar mucho.
Y bueno el KTM lo mas evidentemente es q me cuesta super poco cogerle pero mucho psarle, tambien xq evidentemente no va lento pero es q desde youtube hasta donde se aparta es casi todo 4-5-6 con lo cual a 170-200 no da mucha seguridad llevar a alguien tan pegado. Eso es mas un factor psicologico que real pero esta, ademas sabia q iba en vuelton con lo cual no queria joderlo por intentar precipitarme en un adelantamiento y perder la vuelta

What a cracking lap man, well done!! Your car is so well set up it's incredibly balanced and it seems as if it could take this beating without breaking a sweat, Evos are freaking amazing. What tires are you running? You might have a few more seconds here and there and the 2-3 lost with the ring taxi, that's a really respectable laptime for ~400hp car
Thanks mate I am running AR-1 in 275/35/R18 the taxi fuck me up from the compresion all the way to the top making me doubt a bit during overtaking but still a good lap.

I think people need to start trusting more what ever car they have because at the ring it looks like there is only the possibility to run BMW or Porsche and there is a lot of plataforms that you can use in order to make a quick car. This car still has a lot of potential.
Evo's are still one of the fastest Time Attack or Hill Climp Cars worldwide...you can see it in every country that the top places are very often Evo's...in Germany Time Attack Events always Evo's

@@adolforoldan_evo Ha ha yep I was just saying but if you go down to South for 200km to Ramstein-Miesenbach, then make an American Friend who is assigned Ramstein Air Base now and going to be assigned some base in Japan next, that friend might be able to transport your EVO to Japan by military logistics for free.

I am currently running on HKS suspension with compobrake top mounts and 12kgs springs at rhe front and 8kg at the rear.

Almost one and a half years! But I was running 380-400 before that! So its always well pushed!

Pufffff this is a very interesting one! Currently running a buffer plates that was made by my maper with doors, and plates inside, also running tomei plates under the crankshaft and all of this its supported by the help of a V8 capacity accusumup, with electronic valve control on the Link ECU! So still running wet sump but with all modifications to make it appropriate for the track!
By the way one of the most interesting questions done on the video!

Great control ! What is your tires ? And engine 2.0 or stroker ? It look's you have torque more than hp
So just to give you an idea the tyre set up its 275/35/R18 AR-1 with more than 70 laps on them.
The current engine its a stock engine from an evo 8 MR with evo 9 turbo. Power its 420 and torque its aroun 480Nm. But the biggest quality of the car its that its very light for an evo!

I just have 440 hp from a ful rebuild engine 2.4 L, CP Carrilo pistons and big crank shaft, Manley connecting rods and you know all these things inside the engine.
Anyway best of luck and keep enjoying this on the best special circuit in the world (it is clear from your reaction in the end 🤣 i love it !) , for us it is a dream just to visit it !
@@celltech2675 yep on the stock roads pistons and everything. I will be building a new engine next year but at the moment just keeping this one very healthy.
Hopefully i will get some 2.2 or 2.3 engine next year with around 600

@2:50 BMW ring taxi signals right to let you pass on the left. You pass him on the right in TF! Very dangerous! You are going to cause an accident and get someone hurt or killed!
When I heard comments like this I am absolutely sure that you don’t have a clue about what you are talking check the video again please because obviously you are not looking properly. The taxi puts the signal to the right and then he moves to the left so for me its mega clear that he is the one making a mistake and also. I actually brake and release the throttle to give him space and he does not change direction. So don’t give me lessons about how I should be driving telling me that I could hurt of kill someone because thats MEGA overreacting. And watch the video and listen to the car….

Well I think its not my fault that the ring taxi was lost, he actually put the signal to one side stays in the other and I give him enough time to move and he does not do it so maybe I am not the one that needs to read them….
I think the Ring taxi prevent the accident by leaving enough space to you! Anyway you have to wait until there ist enough space on the left to overtake.
That was the ring taxis weird behaviour. No idea how that happened considering the experience of those drivers but to have the blinkers on with wrong side of road is just confusing. Good job mate

@@adolforoldan_evo mate you did nothing wrong he was sitting there blinker on no moving and if he knew what to do he would turn off the blinker and just go or be on the right with his blinker on in the first place.

Well I would love to see the definition of chill, its 420. And to see the lap of your car. Without that is difficult to compare. I think e36 are quick cars but from that to tell that you do 7:20 chill its a big step.

Is this an 8? It doesn’t have the 2004 facelift front grill that the 8th generation lancers are known for.

What brakes are u running?
Hi Sir, I am currently with the original set up in regard to brake calipers, only I have pagid RSt3 pads with PFC 2 pieces brake rotor, also titanium shims and brake fluid is motul 660. On the rear original set up rotors and caliper with the titanium shims and ferodo 3.12 brake pads. Nothing really big to be honest. But the stopping power is mega with the 275 tyres on it.

I was actually planning to go this year but it was impossible, I hope I could be participating on that event next year now that we are currently working in a more competitive engine for next season. It was a bit far as well, but yes hopefully next year we could do it.

Well basically the reason its that the car is mega light carbon fiber doors, hood, fenders weights around 1240kg which is very light for an evo! Also good alignment is key. And big big tyres 275/35/R18 offset 0. Thats the reason behind the good handling
