Boy Meets Maria is fantastic, it's a little bittersweet to read since the fairly young mangaka has since passed away with this one-shot being a peak at so much potential that'll never be fulfilled.
Mysterious Girlfriend X is pretty good. I love how the anime portrayed relationships, I thought it was really well done. Outside of the overall weirdness of the spit and the occasional fan service.

I don't recall saying it was like Red Dwarf. I believe I said it was like Monty Python. However, from what I know about Red Dwarf, that is probably still accurate. I stand behind my statement that it's is shit. But I'm a card carrying British Hating American, so you'll almost certainly love it! 😀

Yenno, I was really interested in the Duke of Death & His Maid but didn’t wind up getting it amidst all the other new series I’ve been excited for. I look forward to hearing what you think - if you like it I might just think of going for it again! Haha
Ahh The Elusive Samurai - I had higher hopes for this series, didn’t expect it to rely on comedy so much and more so thought it would be an action drama. I felt like it was too rushed in volume 1 and the connections between characters felt forced. If anything, it felt mediocre to me, but I liked it enough to want to continue reading lol. I enjoyed volume 2 a little bit more than volume 1.
I just realized I’m behind on Frieren too - I don’t know what happened in July but somehow I missed getting this series & Mashle too - and I didn’t mark it down which is weird lol (I like these series a lot too but ah well, guess I’ll just get to read two volumes back to back) I’m glad you’re enjoying Frieren more now :)
Honestly, I feel like with the most recent volume of The Kings Beast, it’s really picking up the pace and adding more mystery, kind of action-y elements. I’m super excited to see where it goes going forward. Reading multiple volumes in one go is almost always the best option though, cause it’s just nice & cohesive. For most series it’s easier to consume as a “binge” rather than one at a time, I find haha
Yes! Only 12 volumes in Love & Lies & it’s really cool - going with the same route as “We Never Learn” the last volume has two different versions/ ends to the story. There is the “Lilina ending” and the “Misaki Ending” (I’m 100% getting both, though I like Lilina more so I’ll probably read her ending last lol.
Omg! I thought the first volume of Mars Red was sooo boring too - I bought 2 & 3 cause it’s such a short series lol, but I haven’t picked them up yet to read 😅
Oh! I used to own Starry Sky as well - I got rid of it though despite it being a pretty enjoyable read from what I remember. I think I either couldn’t find the next volumes easily or it’s a discontinued series in English and that’s why I didn’t continue it. - Ah yep, sold it cause discounted 😂🥲
