This was an entirely unplanned video but I decided to try something a bit different to what I've been doing recently. A lot of my recent manga haul videos have been reeeeally big and in an effort to keep the video not too long I ended up cutting out a lot of my talking about the series I was hauling
For this video I have barely done any editing and left in as much of my manga rambling as I could (I still cut out my potty mouth 👀👀👀)
Let me know in the comments what do you think. Do you prefer my bigger less frequent haul videos? Or something like this a bit smaller but I talk a lot more about the manga?

Here in Brazil, all mangas have plastic wrap on them to protect and to show that it is in fact a new piece and not just second-handed. I noticed most of the mangas outside Brazil don't have that kind of stuff and still look pretty good... nowadays I think the plastic wrap it's just polluting the world and are not necessary to protect, there are other ways like making the package with kraft paper or something.
I think one thing that unwrapped mangas have troubles with is the corners often rip a bit just in general transport and handling (Not that I'm overly bothered but some people are 😅 ) Most of the time the quality is fine without the plastic wrap it does just generate a lot of rubbish. Do kinda understand the adult ones being wrapped. Actually thinking about it I think they sometimes wrap volumes that come with something like stickers so they don't fall out/people don't help themselves in the shop

Yes! It's so good I really really enjoyed volume 4 and I'm now even more hyped for volume 5. It's honestly making me want to try the light novel so I can see what's going to happen 🤣 If you decide to give it a go let me know what you think about it I would love to know! 🥰

I loved hearing you talk about the manga more! It made this video super relaxing to watch. I also just started picking up Pandora Hearts because I’ve been loving the case study of vanitas. It might have been a mistake since au don’t know as I’ll ever actually be able to find all the volumes 😂
Yeah I didn't realise it was hard to find until after I had picked up volume 1 but it's too late for me at that point 🤣 Hope you manage to find them all!!

I'm feeling I might try for a little while of not doing a monthly haul but instead sort of a 'themed' haul (Blackwells, physical shopping, second hand) and see how it goes so I can ramble a bit more 🤣 Just means there's like to be more than one a month

Love your hauls you give me some idea's of what to try in the future. I would say film yourself only if your comfortable with it, it not just show us what you got either way it'll be a good video ^_^

Ohhh so many good series! Yeah the only reason I got “A Sign of Affection” was because a) it’s a shoujo and I love my shoujo lol & b) it’s by suu morishita & I really liked shortcake cake - this series I think may end up even better though, we’ll see
Also !! So Cute it Hurts is a a great series - it starts off light and fluffy but deals with a little heavier topics later on in the series. I remember being surprised cause it went from 13+ to mature very quickly lmao (one volume even had the wrap on it!)
Man I really need to get the rest of Happy Marriage, I’ve had the first two volumes for forever (I think I bought them as they came out) but never continued it - I have both of the mangaka’s other series though lol
I totally agree with you on Snow White with the Red Hair - like I enjoy it but it does get very slow at times, for a lot of it tbh - but there are some good arcs that got me really excited to read too - I feel like I’m collecting it obligatorily in a way lol (because I want to someday own all of the shojo beat titles so I like to keep up to date on new ones)
Thank goodness its just not me! The good arcs are really good and I think that's why I'm still going 🤣 I have heard of people who try to collect all the Shojo Beat titles. There seems to be so many that are hard to find now adays that trying to do that scares me 🤣😅
@@Caketinz I mean yeah, it’s definitely not gonna be easy to complete - I doubt I’ll find all of them anytime soon, but the fact I have I think 58-ish of the series (out of 200 something I think) makes me feel like it’s feasible at this point haha
I feel like some are quickly becoming very difficult to find but hopefully when Covid starts dieing down I’ll find some at second-hand book events & perhaps the flea market (we’ll see lol)
I can totally see how it’s daunting though - for me I feel like trying to collect a bunch of Shounen series would feel scary since there are so many & many are very long 😅
@@Caketinz Breh, I wasn’t even close lol - I have 53 out of 138 series up to date/ completed. I’m only not including the series which were cancelled cause I don’t wanna get invested in characters then not be able to finish the story 🥲😅

I liked your massive hauls but as you said, you had to cut a lot commentary to keep your vlog from being too long. I actually like knowing what people think of the mangas they've read or still reading. I get ideas on what to try next. 😊

Yeah it just felt so jump cutty and I cut so much stuff that I wish I hadn't so its going to be some trial and error to see what's best for my haul videos 😁
It's not in the main anime buuut I'm fairly sure they did an OVA or a .5 episode where they did a bit around it.

Haha literally have the same alphabetical ordering problem.
I was working today with an alphabetical sheet and to find each name I had to keep going through the alphabet in my head for anything past O! 😳😅

I love so what I'm a spider, I went for the light novel but debating getting the manga as well. However just got to a part in vol 2 that is difficult to read through and I need to read it again 😖😵
So not fair that you got to watch anime as part of your degree, I need to find a way to work anime into social psychology maybe when I get to year three for a project the mentality behind escaping into another world through anime!!??

Honestly I think a lot of people think I made it up when I say I did a module of anime in my second year. Especially when I say I also did a module of astrophysics in my first! Free electives were amazing 😅

I am sure, people wouldn't often associate anime with a degree, awesome that you could integrate anime into it. 🤩 Your modules sound so much more fun. One of my first modules kept referring back to City Road in Cardiff would of much preferred anime or even a road/street in Japan!

The moment it goes from processing to shipped usually within 5 working days. Sometimes that processing time can take a bit of time though

Honestly it's hard to tell cause I've paid for some of these across the past few months with preorders 😅 It's likely less than you think as I only buy manga that is at least 30% off or more
