Bless you folks! I had tried a different tip which allowed me to continue printing after installing a remanufactured TN660 toner cartridge (not from Linkyo - sorry!), but was still showing a "Replace Toner" message on the Brother Status Monitor on my computer screen. Your tip fixed that!
A lot of these so called How To, they don't work. The fix is straight forward, but Brother just kind of hiding it. I think they want to crack down on people using the after market cheap one. Fix: go to Settings, then All Settings, then General Setup, then Replace Toner, clip it and say Yes. Sometimes you have to scroll down to find the option.
