I’m 50 and remember in my 20’s being gifted a mini spray set that included Plumeria and Juniper Breeze among a few others. That’s my first memory of Bath & Body Works. I so wish I would have saved everything. I really miss the square-ish shaped perfume bottles so much. I do still have one (Carried Away). I just got Plumeria again this Summer for nostalgia’s sake and it still smells like bubblegum to me.🥰

Yes! My mom told me a story of one of her earlier BBW memories. It was somewhere between 1998-2002 that this happened. She and one of her friends went together to shop, and her friend stocked up on a bunch of Plumeria and only that. 🤣 My mom was like "Girl there's so many scents why you only do that one" 😂 My mom and I often talk about how hard it is to narrow down and choose when shopping at BBW, because there's just too many good ones! Do you remember what year Moonlight Path came out? Online it says 2007, but that must've been when it was repackaged? I feel like it's been around longer than that. I had a Calgon body splash of Moon Petal Musk as a kid in the 90s/00s. I feel like it literally was Moonlight Path. 😋

I love this!! I started shopping at BBW right when they opened one in our mall around 1990. I shopped off and on for years and then took a break and came back hard core during Covid and when everything shut down. I totally remember the kids art collection because my daughter was born in 1990. I found one of those old style lotion bottles with the sun burst logo when I was cleaning out some stuff a few years ago 😂 Ahhhh yes scents can defiantly take your right back in time. @@MelissaC I’m pretty sure the 90’s store had the red gingham outside of the store and for some reason it seemed bigger than our store now but that could be because they didn’t offer as many products as they do now. I can’t even remember when candles were introduced? I would buy their candles from time to time but I didn’t become a hard core BBW candle person until probably 4 or 5 years ago. It started with candle day haha 😂 For the most part I do think their candles are some of the best around. I’ve tried ALOT of different brands. I know it makes me crazy I can’t remember that true blue spa scent. The packaging was mainly blue and white and I only had the lotion or body cream…I think it was body cream but it was amazing! So many people loved that collection!

My earliest memory of a BBW scent was in 1993 (I was 32 years old) and I received a gift container (rattan?) of "Plumeria". It was definitely super strong then, and when I purchased it a few years ago (for the memory), it was STILL too strong, but the memory was definitely still there.
Oh yeah! I think it was later than '93 but my mom had a couple of giftsets from BBW that were from at latest early 2000s and they were like rattan wicker baskets too. I don't remember what scents she got in them though. Aww that's great you remember those details! Even if the scents weren't my all time favorites, I'm glad they have a line of some of their original scents like Plumeria, Country Apple, Cucumber Melon, etc! 🥰 Thanks for sharing your memories!
@@MelissaC It was either 1993 or 1994 as the gift was from my boyfriend's parents as we had just moved in together. I just tried googling when it was launched and all it said was the 90's. I can still picture the big rattan thing it came in, I also believe it came with some type of BIG loofah sponge. Oh my gosh, the memories are flooding back. I just wish I had enjoyed the scent more as I didn't realize back then that I could exchange. lol This is going to be a fun series. I didn't become a BBW fan until 2007 or so, but it's so much fun having these memories. Scents and the memories they provoke are AMAZING.
I loved the original tutti dolce line too we never got the tiramisu but we did get creme Brule my gave 🤩 I also miss the honey gel and bar soap they had back then I can't say it right and I still have the soap bar but it was like le couvant or something as I can't recall but if I find I will correct it here.
Oh, I just looked up the honey le couvent and I'm almost certain that's the stuff my mom had next to her bed when I was growing up! It was a little pot of honey lip butter. Was that sold at Bath & Body Works though? I remember borrowing some and can't vividly remember what it smelled/tasted like! 🍯🐝

I never had any of these products as a kid but I remember having a friend in elementary school that had a full set of art stuff in a cute little basket. I want to say they were all strawberry flavored and smelled amazing. I was so jealous but happy that I got to see it in person as a kid!

Ooooohhhhh, okay, I can confirm that Cool Citrus Basil (body spray) was AMAZINGGGGGGGG back in the day! I remember being obsessed with it, and layered it with a few perfumes. It was part of my signature scent. And I can personally testify that it was a man magnet, I mean, it literally was a love potion! Wow, I wish BBW would bring this one back. I'm emotional. ❤️
Aww I'm glad it brought back some good memories to see that Cool Citrus Basil! It's amazing how important fragrances can be to unlocking memories and defining moments of our lives! Even just in the little sample bottle, and probably way past it's prime, it smelled so nice and would be great to see it make a reappearance! 🍋 I love that they do the throwback scents during Semi Annual Sale, but I think a lot of people would agree with me to see some of the more obscure but also very loved old scents come back. 🥰
They used to carry this loose eye glitter in the a 90’s, it looked like glitter sand, I was obsessed. Wish I could remember the makeup brand! I miss Tutti Dolce too!! Loved the Crème Brûlée

I hope they bring back or acknowledge the Art Stuff and Tutti Dolci lines again one day! I know they did with the Tutti Dolci like mentioned, and very briefly with the roll on glitter I think 2 Christmases ago but it wasn't enough! 😫 I need more! I sadly missed out on the Temptations line, and I don't really know why because seeing all of the packaging for it, it's definitely something my mom and I would have gone crazy for. We kind of went through an Avon phase when I was in late elementary school - junior high, so we might have missed out because we were distracted with that! LOL! Okay so I have a question maybe you can answer for me! 😊 I've read various summaries and articles but find it hard to wrap my head around all of the business jargon. So my understanding is that Limited Brands was buying all sorts of other brands, including BBW, and Express at the time like you mentioned. So because of this, did it make them able to sell products in stores of the other brands they owned? Do you remember what years you were buying BBW products in Express? Do you suppose that they were using their other brands' storefronts as a test run for BBW products? Any memories or info you have as someone who was there is appreciated, and if you don't know, that's okay too! 🤣 I just have so many questions and wish I could time travel to figure it all out!
@@MelissaC this was around 1990, 1991…it was before there were actual BBW freestanding stores. The best I can come up with is they did so well they opened their own store. I remember Express, the Limited and iirc correctly Victoria’s Secret all being part of the same company and we were able to use credit cards interchangeably. Hth!..it’s the best I can do!

I know, I'm lucky and thankful I saved them! 🥰 I've only ever lived in two houses (childhood home until I was 14, and from 14 - now the house I'm in now!) so it was pretty easy for all of my old products to stay together and not get lost over time with lots of moving. I've always had a dedicated cabinet for beauty products so I kept them in a bag there! 😊
Does anyone remember their body softener (I think that’s what it was called)? It was a liquid that you’d put on like lotion. Flip top, hole in the center. I had it in Peach Nectar and it was a 90s staple for me (around 1996-1998). I can’t find a photo online and it’s driving me crazy!

Were you in middle school during 2004-05? I was in 4th - 5th grade, and at the time I went through the school system here, we did "junior high" which was 7th-9th graders...idk it was weird and they changed it now to the more standard 6th-8th being middle school.

No, I haven't seen it. I probably should to get more history on Limited Brands besides what I've read/experienced while working at BBW. All I know is that on the VIctoria's Secret side of things it gets messy! 😖 LOL! I think I heard about him living on White Barn Rd though!

Hi there! Unfortunately right now since there have been recently a lot of changes to the exchange and return policy, there's a chance that not every store will be on the same page. Some may honor the exchange while others may be stricter and say no. Personally, if it were me and you had the receipt, I would honor it. Best bet at this point until all of the employees and stores know what they are doing is to call the store in advance and ask them. 😊

I love this!! I started shopping at BBW right when they opened one in our mall around 1990. I shopped off and on for years and then took a break and came back hard core during Covid and when everything shut down.
I totally remember the kids art collection because my daughter was born in 1990. I found one of those old style lotion bottles with the sun burst logo when I was cleaning out some stuff a few years ago 😂

The true blue spa was one of my all time favorite collections. There was a scent that came out in 2000-01 that I loved but I can’t remember what it was. I would know if I smelled it lol

@@MelissaC I’m pretty sure the 90’s store had the red gingham outside of the store and for some reason it seemed bigger than our store now but that could be because they didn’t offer as many products as they do now. I can’t even remember when candles were introduced? I would buy their candles from time to time but I didn’t become a hard core BBW candle person until probably 4 or 5 years ago. It started with candle day haha 😂 For the most part I do think their candles are some of the best around. I’ve tried ALOT of different brands.
I know it makes me crazy I can’t remember that true blue spa scent. The packaging was mainly blue and white and I only had the lotion or body cream…I think it was body cream but it was amazing! So many people loved that collection!
yessssss!!!! i don’t really watch bath and body works videos that much, but i was like, “i wish there was more videos showing some vintage bath and body works products” because i like seeing their old products and there aren’t many videos on youtube at all showing some of the old products (sometimes vintage things are interesting to me, in a way. if it’s a brand i like especially. like victoria’s secret as well)

My earliest memory of a BBW scent was in 1993 (I was 32 years old) and I received a gift container (rattan?) of "Plumeria". It was definitely super strong then, and when I purchased it a few years ago (for the memory), it was STILL too strong, but the memory was definitely still there.
Oh yeah! I think it was later than '93 but my mom had a couple of giftsets from BBW that were from at latest early 2000s and they were like rattan wicker baskets too. I don't remember what scents she got in them though. Aww that's great you remember those details! Even if the scents weren't my all time favorites, I'm glad they have a line of some of their original scents like Plumeria, Country Apple, Cucumber Melon, etc! 🥰 Thanks for sharing your memories!
@@MelissaC It was either 1993 or 1994 as the gift was from my boyfriend's parents as we had just moved in together. I just tried googling when it was launched and all it said was the 90's. I can still picture the big rattan thing it came in, I also believe it came with some type of BIG loofah sponge. Oh my gosh, the memories are flooding back. I just wish I had enjoyed the scent more as I didn't realize back then that I could exchange. lol This is going to be a fun series. I didn't become a BBW fan until 2007 or so, but it's so much fun having these memories. Scents and the memories they provoke are AMAZING.
I loved the original tutti dolce line too we never got the tiramisu but we did get creme Brule my gave 🤩 I also miss the honey gel and bar soap they had back then I can't say it right and I still have the soap bar but it was like le couvant or something as I can't recall but if I find I will correct it here.
Oh, I just looked up the honey le couvent and I'm almost certain that's the stuff my mom had next to her bed when I was growing up! It was a little pot of honey lip butter. Was that sold at Bath & Body Works though? I remember borrowing some and can't vividly remember what it smelled/tasted like! 🍯🐝
@@MelissaC the body wash to me had a light fresh water and honey scent i was only able to get 2 bars soap, 2 wash and 1 lotion it sold out here fast.

I never had any of these products as a kid but I remember having a friend in elementary school that had a full set of art stuff in a cute little basket. I want to say they were all strawberry flavored and smelled amazing. I was so jealous but happy that I got to see it in person as a kid!

Ooooohhhhh, okay, I can confirm that Cool Citrus Basil (body spray) was AMAZINGGGGGGGG back in the day! I remember being obsessed with it, and layered it with a few perfumes. It was part of my signature scent. And I can personally testify that it was a man magnet, I mean, it literally was a love potion! Wow, I wish BBW would bring this one back. I'm emotional. ❤️
Aww I'm glad it brought back some good memories to see that Cool Citrus Basil! It's amazing how important fragrances can be to unlocking memories and defining moments of our lives! Even just in the little sample bottle, and probably way past it's prime, it smelled so nice and would be great to see it make a reappearance! 🍋 I love that they do the throwback scents during Semi Annual Sale, but I think a lot of people would agree with me to see some of the more obscure but also very loved old scents come back. 🥰

They used to carry this loose eye glitter in the a 90’s, it looked like glitter sand, I was obsessed. Wish I could remember the makeup brand! I miss Tutti Dolce too!! Loved the Crème Brûlée

Aw yay, I'm glad you're liking it so far! 🤩 It's so much fun to make, I haven't gone through these products in so long so busting them out and smelling them all again definitely made all of those memories flood back! I hope they bring back or acknowledge the Art Stuff and Tutti Dolci lines again one day! I know they did with the Tutti Dolci like mentioned, and very briefly with the roll on glitter I think 2 Christmases ago but it wasn't enough! 😫 I need more! I sadly missed out on the Temptations line, and I don't really know why because seeing all of the packaging for it, it's definitely something my mom and I would have gone crazy for. We kind of went through an Avon phase when I was in late elementary school - junior high, so we might have missed out because we were distracted with that! LOL!

I have a Christmas lotion still called Mistletoe Magic & I absolutely love the scent and wish they would bring it back.
Yes! I remember seeing it as a kid, and more recently seeing some pictures online of it. It was purple and had accents of yellow on it, and I think it was called "Goodness Grape" LOL! @@MelissaC I actually just used up a super old body cream from waaayyy back in the day. It was called lime chill or something? It was so bad but I could still smell it a little bit. I have a lemon meringue lip gloss and a cinnamon frost lip gloss from tutti dolce.

Okay so I have a question maybe you can answer for me! 😊 I've read various summaries and articles but find it hard to wrap my head around all of the business jargon. So my understanding is that Limited Brands was buying all sorts of other brands, including BBW, and Express at the time like you mentioned. So because of this, did it make them able to sell products in stores of the other brands they owned? Do you remember what years you were buying BBW products in Express? Do you suppose that they were using their other brands' storefronts as a test run for BBW products? Any memories or info you have as someone who was there is appreciated, and if you don't know, that's okay too! 🤣 I just have so many questions and wish I could time travel to figure it all out!
@@MelissaC this was around 1990, 1991…it was before there were actual BBW freestanding stores. The best I can come up with is they did so well they opened their own store. I remember Express, the Limited and iirc correctly Victoria’s Secret all being part of the same company and we were able to use credit cards interchangeably. Hth!..it’s the best I can do!

I know, I'm lucky and thankful I saved them! 🥰 I've only ever lived in two houses (childhood home until I was 14, and from 14 - now the house I'm in now!) so it was pretty easy for all of my old products to stay together and not get lost over time with lots of moving. I've always had a dedicated cabinet for beauty products so I kept them in a bag there! 😊
Does anyone remember their body softener (I think that’s what it was called)? It was a liquid that you’d put on like lotion. Flip top, hole in the center. I had it in Peach Nectar and it was a 90s staple for me (around 1996-1998). I can’t find a photo online and it’s driving me crazy!

Were you in middle school during 2004-05? I was in 4th - 5th grade, and at the time I went through the school system here, we did "junior high" which was 7th-9th graders...idk it was weird and they changed it now to the more standard 6th-8th being middle school.

No, I haven't seen it. I probably should to get more history on Limited Brands besides what I've read/experienced while working at BBW. All I know is that on the VIctoria's Secret side of things it gets messy! 😖 LOL!

Hi, i just need to ask a question about exchange. That i got a mist but after using it few times i accidentally broke the nozzle, now its not usable for me. can i exchange it with other mist now??
Hi there! Unfortunately right now since there have been recently a lot of changes to the exchange and return policy, there's a chance that not every store will be on the same page. Some may honor the exchange while others may be stricter and say no. Personally, if it were me and you had the receipt, I would honor it. Best bet at this point until all of the employees and stores know what they are doing is to call the store in advance and ask them. 😊
