- In today’s Episode of The Chronicles of Kayla we’ve finally hit July … just like any other day there’s a ton get done - -
The cattle some tkmes takes a back seat during hay season - - while we quickly move & walk trough the herd moving from paddock to paddock - when We moved them we noticed a couple of eyes starting to be pink eye. A quick dart with our @PneuDartInc & some antibiotics theyre goo as new!!
Then it’s back to business for us, rake & baling 8 fields trying to beat out the rain!

It sticks but I’m chalking it up to a Gods Blessing. There’s always room for change & growth - this might just be where ours is headed in the future.

If you pump a needle full of air into your meds before you draw the meds out, the pressure of the air pumped in will make the withdrawal of meds so much easier.

Round bales will frustrate you hauling them any distance. It takes more time to strap down trailers for highway hauling per load and you will find you can haul more tonnage with the big squares per trailer. It is nice you can bale at a little higher moisture and let them get rained on in the field.
At least John won't feel left out! I seen net wrap in this area that's red , white , and blue strips. I pull an old vermeer round baler with a 4010 John Deere. I still use twine , it does what I need to do!
Do you have trouble getting the Pneu Darts? I work at a feed & supply business and we have trouble getting them especially the 10cc which are the most popular for us. Their excuse is they can't keep enough supply of aluminum to make the tubes. We've switched to a brand called Capchur. The tube on them is plastic and our customers are satisfied with them. I was just curious.
Not really. I get them either through PneuDart website or at our local feed store. I will make some inquiries & let my contact know there’s been some issues!

12:31 You should read the owners manual to find out everything that baler computer can do for you. I think you'll be amazed at how much you'll learn and not have to guess so much. Jus sayin.

Rocks ? You dont clean them up when seeding or after a hay crop is harvested ???? As a farmer for 50 years.......I always stop and pick up any rocks I see. And we have rocks !!!

The one they have is a Massey
Yes - they do, they have a couple different ones. We have an AgCo 7433 Cutter. Theres only a handful that were made of these balers. We’re in the process of figuring things out for the following season. Right now we are just going to run the RB 4160V by Massey Ferguson because it’s on the farm & it’s handy to be able to just go out & roll a field.

Try wearing a seatbelt bouncing around all day...not possible.
