I finally found the best method to invest in S&P500 funded using SRS
Mentioned in my previous video, you could invest through Endowus buying the LionGlobal Infinity US 500 fund ($20 access fee)
But here lies the problem, the access fee of 0.3% is recurring every year and will charge higher with your portfolio increasing over time.
I also talked about buying ticker S27 (S&P500 ETF) listed in. SGX but the downside is there is a minimum lot of 10 shares per order at that time
But what has changed is that SGX has lowered the lot size of ETF effective Jan 2022, and this means that you could start buying 1 unit of S27 ($450 USD) per order.
- Problem: Min commission of $25 per order if using traditional brokers like DBS Vickers
- Not effective for Dollar Cost Average (DCA)

Hi Chris, have also invested into S&P500 using Endowus. For S27, one of the key concern is the extremely low trading volume. Also noted the poems commission promo is only till end of year and might end up with our investments spread across multiple funds/ brokers over the long run. However agree is still one time vs. yearly access fees. Putting aside costs, 1 plus point for Endowus is we can use CPF so having it all managed together may be easier.

Why not buy Ireland domicile S&P 500 related ETF e.g vuaa, cspx, vusf etc using IBKR? There is less tax as s27 dividends are tax 30% by uncle sam as compared from UK. I know is cold hand cash vs cash in SRS. Any thoughts
Because you can't buy shares outside of SGX market using SRS
@@HoneyMoneySG would the outside stocks with higher dividends at 15% tax, outweight the SRS ETF at 30% tax, with income tax rebates. I am also asking myself. Lol

Endowus charges 0.3% access fees so it is better to invest into that fund under POEMS because they do not charge any additional fees.

@@hochoonhiong Yes buying a unit trust fund or index fund under POEMS does not incur any transaction fees or additional fees so I am not sure why Endowus is used instead of POEMS in this case.
