Hi all! Thanks for watching my FIRST OFFICAL VIDEO! Yes, I'm aware the music is a little loud. lol It was my first one, and I've been tweaking the levels in each subsequent video. No, I'm not ditching the music altogether, it's part of who I am! But I promise I'm trying to get the levels worked out. haha :-)
I just turn the sound off completely when I watch these, and turn the playback speed to 1.5x. It’s so exhilarating and satisfying!!! Beautiful project!!!
I loved the video! Don’t sorry about the music, it was fine, geez, some people like to complain! That piece is so beautiful, the transformation is astonishing!
Great video...thank you for sharing. You have inspired this retired woman (me) to get up and start my video doing makeovers starting with all the junk in my whole house, especially the garage. I had to stop watching your video to share thank you so much 💝. Now, l will start watching your video again. l know it turned out a beautiful piece of art!🌷
I've watched a lot of similar videos (people restoring old things, or doing woodwork) and I almost never leave a comment, but I figured this time I will since your channel is so new. What you do with the furniture is great, but honestly your voiceover is my favorite part. You sound very calm, friendly and genuine and your voice is really pretty, just like the furniture you save. Thank you and good luck with the channel!
Love the fact that you don't just "flip" an old piece with covering the lovely wood with thick paint! Thanks for respecting the beauty of some of the prettiest woods ... it is so much more beautiful than the plastic simulated wood sold in most new furniture! Thanks, and keep up the beautiful restoration!
I completely felt your pain, when it came to the holes. But like a true professional you just went ahead and got the job done, and what a FANTASTIC job it was, I'm amazed and just love the piece. Well Done.
I'm amazed she just didn't go out and buy new hardware where the holes matched up. That's probably what I would have done. And that's why she has a TH-cam channel and I don't. She's so determined and dedicated.
Turned out beautifully! I was a career finisher and historic furniture Conservator so I recognize good workmanship. When it comes to bin pulls I always set them a bit higher than center because when viewed from standing height the pulls look too far down on the piece if centered. Liked, subbed and rang that bell!
I think that this sort of thing should be taught in colleges and universities, restoring these old furniture is amazing. A skill that needs to be taught, love it,
I had never seen this video after watching you for years. So here I am. Your video skills have improved but your furniture fixing soul has remained pure. It’s all about bringing out the best, explaining the process and humility.
There’s a lot of people out there doing this but the quality of your work is up there with the best of them and your presentation and edit is top draw, pun intended. I’ll be watching more.
Of all the furniture refurbish channels out there, this the only one that really makes me go OHHHH . High quality, professional, and down right beautiful. Kudos to you.
Amazing workmanship. I was more amazed that I didn’t hear any drop F bombs after seeing the issue with pull handles. lol. I am half way through your videos so much information thanks 🙏.
My main mission in my business is to keep things out of the trash. Sometimes that means working on busted antiques and sometimes it means particle board crap. Lol A lot of it still has decades of use left. If I can take something and modify it to be more desirable, it will get used, at least for a time. But in the meantime, hopefully that transformation will inspire other people to do the same. There are many amazing modern craftspeople doing phenomenal work. And I’m not saying I’d never try it… but my efforts are focussed elsewhere purposely. Hope that makes sense. 😊
Hey Angie, love this one. For backboards (I build flat pack furniture as a sideline) a good staple tacker is your best friend. Saves a ton of time and is way more secure. As for new hardware, measure and drill before painting, and a block of scrap wood pressed onto the back of the panel you're drilling into prevents tear out. I'm also a hobbyist flipper, just trying to get organised and start my own channel but you're still my go to for quality work and viewing.
Just started watching your channel and subscribed, the difference between you and the other channels is your work is ultra high quality... You're really very good at this and it isn't just for TH-cam views. You'll get more subscribers exponentially.
Wow, thank you so much! It’s definitely a labour of love. I’ve been at this (furniture) for a while now and finally reached a point where I felt comfortable enough to put myself out there a bit more. I really appreciate your kind words!
I’m enjoying your channel so much. I recently lost almost everything to a house fire and the repairs are going to take about a year. Your channel has inspired me to replace what I can with older, salvageable pieces. I’m excited to learn about the different products you use, especially the Wise Owl furniture salve, Odies Oil and the Fusion Beeswax/Hemp oil. I’m looking forward to using the upcoming year to create some new treasures to replace those that I lost.
@@buffalosabresloyalist8913 Thank you for your hopeful thoughts. The fire was exactly one year ago today and I’m still not able to move home. COVID is a large part of the delay. It’s looking to be more like a year and 6 months. But when all is said and done I will have a new home with a more functional floor plan and all of the design elements chosen by me.
Yes, this! It is heartbreaking how many of these pieces end up in a landfill just because they are "ugly" when all they neede to not be ugly was a little imagination and elbow grease!
@@TheLovelyMissBeans This one really was ugly what with the shell decoration and shiny wood finish. Anything that survived what it went through deserves another chance. The simplified version looks better than most made today and is better built.
THAT WAS AMAZING! I need to learn more about those products you use and where to find them! I can almost SMELL that wax you used on the inside of the drawers!!!! FABULOUS WORK!
keep up the great vids. Your customer is a great person for referring this piece, without this piece, what would have we, our students, learned. You are a great teacher from your first video, and you are so humble.
The great thing about you is that not only do yoy have the talent to do a great job and be thorough, but you also have great taste. I love the finish on your pieces. I have been obsessed with your channel for the last few days and I'm yet to see one piece of furniture I don't like. You always finish them so beautifully.
I think one of the greatest things that are shown by makers on TH-cam is We make mistakes! It is truly the best seeing one recover and that it all takes some thought and time to get these great results!
Great transformation! I really appreciate that you didn't just edit out the mishap with the hardware, it keeps it real for viewers! Your attention to preparation detail is impeccable and truly engaging tutorial that doesn't get boring or overly complicated!!! So all that being said I've binged watch all your videos, I'm officially hooked and in need of a fix, can't wait to continue to follow your channel!!!👍✌❤
From junk to jewel! When you started painting I wasn't sure about the color but that final reveal was on point! I was so glad you left the wood grain on the top it was too nice to be covered up. You definitely have an eye for what you do.
Most people would have just purchased new pulls that fit the holes....but not Angie -considering all the love you give a piece - I'm sure this dresser thinks it died and "transcended" into a furniture heaven : )
As a hobby woodworker/furniture maker, I enjoy watching your videos for finishing techniques, and ideas. I must say we have much the same taste in that we use different finishes on the same pieces. I love contrasting paint with stain, or contrasting colors of paint. Great videos! Keep 'em coming!!!
Been on a binge of your channel for about a week, then watched your 2 year Q ana A.....wonderful! Now I've decide to go back and start at the beginning to watch the progress! Addicted! ❤❤
What a transformation! Beautiful, timeless and a touch of class written all over! One suggestion would be to incorporate some sort of light in the open shelves, just to give it a glow to enhance the green color in the back and add dimension to the items displayed. Love your work! ☺️

And more importantly... Angie is so conscientious. Many flippers don't even pull out the drawers while painting them.
To see the beauty in a piece, in such a broken state is truly a gift.
