It will work just as well...it will perform and function on the same way...however you know that a fiber board is more solid and generally is a better board cause will not flex as much as a inflatable. Other then that will work ... the adhesive is very strong...Just make sure you will not try to 'bend" your board as you deflate it where the Slingshot it...try to keep it as flat as possible on that area. Hello, I was wondering if anyone can comment on the SUPwinder’s durability. I’m a bit worried about trying the fin now because I saw this other video and the guy had mentioned that the base (sticky part) of the SUPwinder had already cracked after the 5th time using it. He also did mention that he was wing surfing in choppy conditions. Therefore, is the SUPwinder really only meant for flatter water?
So far I had no problems...it is solid glued to your board...as long you clean the board well and wait enough time so it can stick it right you will have no problems...I would not leave the board baking in the sun with the bottom up cause that would maybe not be good...in terms of being strong...I had scraped it on sand by mistake but them again im sure you would be avoiding rocky areas and off course you would step of the board before it gets too shallow. As I said in the review...is a great product to make your SUP become a wing SUP. I hope this helps
