I’m coping with the hope she’s the herald of a new meta upcoming like Kokomi was for healing meta, but honestly, so confused why MHY would purposefully lose out on money by making such a beloved character turn out like this.
There has to be some financial incentive for them in the long run to make her this bad and put her on the standard banner, but what that incentive is is wholly beyond me.
My tinfoil hat theory is that she probably didn't poll well in popularity for mihoyo's largest market (ahem Liyue bias ahem). So while Dehya is seemingly super popular among the western community, she's probably not attracting much fanfare elsewhere and they probably just decided it wasn't worth the investment 😥
Constellation 8: When using her skill or burst, characters who previously couldn't assist Dehya by activating their abilities will assist Dehya indefinitely.
I keep seeing this about the jumping cancelling the burst, that's not the problem. The problem is the burst itself locking you into a lenghty animation instead of being a change of stance for the character. The jump cancelling is a way to end her burst to not having to stay 4 seconds with limited movility and open to attacks, it's stupid because the burst in the first place is stupid. They made a bad solution to a problem they purposely created in the first place, it's just a bandaid for the gaping wound that her burst is in the first place.
@@airdrighmor1439 Issue is she doesn't get the damage mitigation while in burst because it removes her skill, so she can die if her passive heal is on CD. She also can get frozen in burst and when you spam space you can accidently jump, which cancels her burst entirely.
@@atomiccore75 why take zhongli when you can take dehya that does his and Xianglings job that then allows you to bring kazuha? You’re so one tracked minded if all you see is the shield. Get a brain and stop watching people use a tank support as a main dps.
@@Allylene Shinobu was a healer electro something that don't exist so that's something deyah what bothers my it's that ... She gets remplaced by a 4* that it's given free
the biggest problem is that she doesn't work with A LOT of supports . she can't vaporize with the hydro appliers (XQ/yelan) , she can't proc beidou's burst, she can't work with yunjin's burst, she can't activate fischl C6 she doesn't even work w/candace, her friend (lore wise) it's so heartbreaking because i was super excited for dehya's release .she has an amazing design and good story ... i wish she gets better in the future
At least she's best used in mono pyro team with lavawalker (Bennet Xiangling and Kazuha) but still it's so horrible. Ganyu dendro melt is also not bad, but elemental skill cooldown is long abd duration not enough.
You should try Dehya with Wanderer, since his interruption resistance is so bad. Plus she gives him the pyro ATK bonus so she’s actually a really good partner for him!
dehya's interruption res lasts 9sec so he's gonna get knocked down before the end of his skill. If you want a pyro applicator with decent shielding ; Thoma is right there, and he can trigger burgeon more efficiently than her. If you time his skill + his burst then you can have 100% uptime shield, unlike Dehya with her skill. Also if you have C6 Thoma -> his skill & his burst increases the active character's normal/charged/plunge attacks by 15%. So Thoma is always gonna be a better option for characters like Wanderer, Ayato or Yoimiya. We also have good Cryo shields like Layla & Diona, which increases his crit rate. The issue is that we already have characters that can do everything Dehya does better than her.
@@jjunikigai You’re definitely right, but I think Wanderer is a good pair with Dehya for people who want to play her bc of her design and character :) just giving moga a suggestion for the god mode!
1. Zhongli exist and he can shred anemo res from enemies. 2. Benny exist. He gives tons of atk and Scara can easily swirls pyro frim Benny's Q. 3. Dehya never be better than anyone in any aspect. 4. I love her tho
Its sad she doesnt work with xinqiu or yelan but if you really wanted to do a dmg showcase nilou's e skill actually has enough application for her to vape everything
Which is just sad bacause Nilou is specifically meants to be in bloom teams that it. Having to gimp a character that can do tons of damage just to make Dehya better.
@@oh-noe it’s pretty sad that you have to use such a strong character like ayaka at C2, just to have her do less damage then if you were to use ayaka elsewhere
@@MooCow765 I clear spiral abyss instantly without any difficulties so I like to play stuff that might not be optimal but still really fun. Using C2 ayaka as support isn’t sad, it’s fun to send your pyro dps to the skies and above. Even more fun at c4
0:32 “imagine being eternally immortalized in a BEEP montage. For just 4.99, and becoming a “Mega Moglet” Channel member, one of these very special beeps will be replaced with your name” Kinda cool ngl
People seem to keep asking if she can replace Zhongli..... I don't think she can even replace Thoma. Especially not on units (like Yoimiya) who benefit from Thoma's +15% normal attack damage.
The sad thing about her is that even if they create a scenario where she's a better option than current defensive options, she'll end up being powercreept by any future units that give damage mitigation and any form of buffs or cc.
Beidou and Xingqiu already exist. They have damage reduction and interruption resistance without hurting themselves and do so much more on top of it. And they are 4 star units. There was absolutely no reason to cripple Dehya this hard.
@@SakuraVocaloid It’d have to be an enemy like the shadowy husk, who get stronger after hitting a shield. Also the enemy would have to be a lot faster than the shadowy husk, so it’ll be difficult to dodge. In this VERY specific case it would help to have someone who can give damage reduction and interruption resistance without it being a shield.
@@notatallfunctional as i said, then why not use a healer? Even barbara would be better. Or just damage reduction with xingqiu or beidou. In that case, damage mitigation would be better than shields, but still worse than anything else. So what would be a situation where damage mitigation is the best defensive option?
I believe it's important to find what works for you and what you have fun with. She's very fun to play xD She can't replace Zhongli for me BUT I love her regardless and found she works very well in a Rosaria melt team (Dehya, Rosaria, Kazuha and Bennett). This team is so much fun xD. Edit: She works as a burst/sub dps in this team whilst providing damage mitigation for everyone, rotation is seamless.
She absolutely cannot replace zhongli because of her bad synergy and her skill uptime. She also doesn’t provide the elemental res decrease Zhongli does and if you want a shielder or some sort of a protection in a burgeon comp, thoma is better because he proc burgeon faster. Tldr if you want zhongli, save for zhongli and dont get Dehya even if her design and personality is awesome.
One niche teamcomp I've seen that Dehya works well in is a burning comp with Dehya, Nahida, Sucrose/Kazuha, and Sayu/Yaoyao/Jean for healing. Dehya is there purely for weak pyro application (meaning it won't be depleting the dendro anytime soon) that will start the burning reaction as well as damage mitigation, while most of the damage will be inflicted by EM built Sucrose or Kazuha spreading the reaction through swirls (this also mean that it's their EM that will determine the burn damage). The key here is the damage mitigation Dehya offers, so someone like Xinyan or Thoma can also work, but Dehya is more comfortable with the wide area of effect of her elemental skill. She wants to use Sacrificial Greatsword for uptime though.
Actually she is an off field pyro applier and defensive support that can enable some strong teams and battery a pyro carry like Hu Tao or even Klee. The best thing about using her in vape and melt comps is she doesn't steal reactions with crystalize like Zhongli does, she doesn't even steal the reaction with her own pyro application if the other elements involved are being applied fast enough. Like pairing her with both Xingqiu and Yelan then adding your pyro carry. At most she will let Xingqiu get an occasional vape but thanks to Yelan there will still be hydro applied before the Carry's next hit.
@@airdrighmor1439 How is she fun in that team ? You just place her E skill then switch off. If you'r using her ult in that team I am sorry to tell you you are actively crippeling your team's clear time in abyss.
was really expecting dehya to be somehow be a hybrid mix of zhongli and bennet, she could be usable if her elemental skill could somehow decently heal onfield characters with a lower downtime of course as she is a 5 star character after all
I think one of the teams she shines the most is ganyu melt with nahida and bennett, the burning keeps the piro in the enemy and nahida e reaplies it when ganyu hits
The only way I can see making Dehya viable without buffs is if a new enemy was able to break shields, then her resistaince might be usefull. But I still feel like they should fix her XQ/Yelan burst procs along with jump cancel on her burst.
Healers exist then. No way they'll introduce enemy which makes healing useless. Bennett, diona, kokomi, kuki, yaoyao make you need no other defensive unit in team. So her becoming viable is far from happening in a long time
I know it's probably a waste, but I haven't seen yet anyone trying Dehya with a support Ayato or a support Ganyu. In her quest I was given the chance to try her and with Ayato's burst she vaporized almost every hit
You are taking this the wrong way, she supports Ganyu not the contrary but you would still want xiangling and bennett with her. She basically replace zhongli slot if you need him elsewhere and allows you to use your burst on ganyu to get 4 melt on dehya's burst
U should try clam set on dehya. Saw some videos on it and it's pretty funny, she can just go afk and clam + her passive makes her immortal while popping unreasonable bubbles 💀
@@miraqen7801 yeah it isn't practical for abyss but the fact u can just go afk in open world or against weekly bosses like azhdaha is just hilarious (some guy fr spent like an hour just afk at azhdaha and killed him LMAOO)
My current Dehya team is Ganyu, Layla, Bennett and Dehya. She crits 30k on each melt burst tick wit Redhorn at 80 and 4p emblem. She can still be a pretty strong dps. You can give her the clam set as well to turn her self healing into a dps output and increase her HP.
My biggest hit so far has been over 60k on the final kick on her burst, the punches hit for around 44k, I honestly don't care if its stellar or not, I find her fun and that's what I care about
I used her in a mono pyro team to all star second half floor 12 of the current abyss. I had to work harder but the team is overall ok. Sure my other teams can easily do it faster like my Xiao team for example but seeing Dehya unleashing her pillow punches is worth it
The answer is basically no... since even if dehya is build to re heal constanly and not die 50% of the dmg will go to the onfielder and will die eventually. Also no dmg buffs from Dehya means she is really behind Zhongli... I argue her defence utility is worst than her dps since Genshin is a time based game and solo no coop, Dehya defense utility is not that great... She is an ok isgh replacement in Melt Ganyu but that's about it for any teams that would like a defence focus Dehya ain't it.
With constant damage, a character in dehya's e survives about 9 seconds. With Zhongli shield, it's about 7. Pyro resonance vs 20% shred is the competition. Shred is probably better, but by how much? She replaces Zhongli in my double hydro Hu Tao team with zero issues. Similar abyss times.
@@airdrighmor1439 the shred of Zhongli is half of a VV shred, for your whole party. And Zhongli has much better uptime, plus Zhongli doesn’t need another defensive option on the team to make sure you don’t die. In the team you are describing, you could replace Dehya with thoma and you’ll get more dmg with similar defensive utility
@@airdrighmor1439 Well yes, because Hutao n XQ can heal, minus one of the issues mentioned above. Not to mention Hutao runs ZL mainly for the interuption RES + shield, of which Dehya can cover here, and Dehya's weird 12/20 E and 9/18 passive uptime magically works well w XQ yelan Q and Hutao E. Also provides pyro reso not only for Hutao but also for XQ. So Im sure she can replace ZL in this team, but the OP said basically, not every team can utilize Dehya like this.
at 0:32 Imagine being eternally immortalized in a BEEP montage. For just 4.99, and becoming a "Mega Moglet" channel member, one of these very special beeps will be replace with your name.
She actually can *sort of* be a side grade to Zhongli in Ganyu Burn-Melt! She gives interruption resistance and actually helps the burning aura instead of taking away from it like Zhongli can w/ his pillar
For 9 seconds every 20 seconds so you still spent half your time watching ganyu get punted into the stratosphere. Also dont play melt ganyu unless you really hate yourself.
I feel like she could be a burn or burgeon enabler because both of these reactions struggle with heavily damaging your active character AND working best with timed intervals of Pyro application So a burn team with Dehya and Nahida or a burgeon team with Dehya, Nahida and Xinqu/Yelan could be pretty good
I see her as a nice support with a dendro character for reverse melt teams and her interruption resistance is quite nice especially for bow characters.
you could kind of use dehya viably against serpent knights and I also feel like there's gonna be more enemies in the future who work worse against shield users. Just like serpent knights.
This statement of mine originally referring to Candace but I think it applies even more to Dehya "Her viability is inversely proportional to her attractiveness and damn shes hot"
honestly if the coordinated attacks were faster and if the burst was treated like cyno (like a 15sec 'install') where it works with Yelan etc..... imo, that's most of what you need
I can only imagine she was released with interruption resistance and a self heal because Hoyo is trying to usher in a shield-less meta. But didn't they do that with rifthounds already? What's the point of putting emphasis on less damage and more damage/stagger resistance? Are they gonna introduce an endurance level in Abyss?
A workaround for rifthounds is healing, when kokomi was introduced. They can push the shield less meta to the extreme by introducing enemies that can restrict healing and bypass shields. But I doubt they will do that at this stage.
11:00 With this, I thing Dehya can fit in a team like Yelan+Xingqiu+Hu Tao+Dehya. You have Hydro resonance wich helps everyone and Pyro resonance wich helps Xingqiu and Hu Tao. Also, Dehya doesn't heal Hu Tao so... Perfect fit?
This is one of her best core teams. You can swap out Hu Tao for other pyro carries too, like Yoimiya or even Klee or Yanfei. In fact Yanfei with a really good DPS crimson set and a prototype amber could get some strong vapes while providing a shield, energy for the team, and a bit more healing.
@@IceKnight678 True for Hu Tao, but for the Yanfei team that bit of extra healing is nice for the rest of the team, including Dehya. As for the Hu Tao team, the xingqiu heal and her own is all you need to safely hover around 20-30%HP.
To add insult to injury, her story quest lacks effort. Alhaithm quest has cut scenes, black & white flashbacks while Dehya was given a damn *drawing* as both cut scene and flashback. *HoYo hates her so much*
I hope they buff her. If the interruption resistance would hold the whole duration of her skill and if the burts refreshes the duration and did not take it from the field while active. Also if the hits from the skill could hit a bit faster that would be nice. Like every 1.5 seconds or so.
There’s a leaked set that says when the equipping character takes damage, skill and burst damage increases by some amount and it can stack up to 5 times. So that is a possible buff but idk if it fixes her problems.
Now that I think about it dehya's damage mitigation and interruption resistance would pair well with benny's burst, especially if your facing really hard hitters
Her scaling is like Ayato, you can use atk or hp sands but the difference (C1 for Dehya makes it much much smaller) is minimal. HP sands at c0 just makes her tanky but she will deal 6% less dmg than when she's using atk sands but she won't be as tanky. C1 lowers that dmg difference from 6% to 1% less dmg with hp sands. This is with her signature and WGS.
It’s not like ayato. Ayato hp bonus is not as significant it’s one percent bonus to the namisen, so you can totally not build it and not see significant DPS decrease. It’s a dmg bonus. Dehya is totally SPLIT SCALING. She scales of both HP and attack almost equally. Ayato is a bonus.
Ayato Hp scaling is a bonus at most, not actual hard scaling. It's nice but if you go full HP sands his damage will drop significantly, the benefit he gets is that Hp% is not a wasted substat so you can feel less bad about getting it.
just use clam set on all healing characters especially dehya and c6 barb/qiqi you will literally never die and do damage at the same time if you dont have the shield on
Put her field the last before the dps Dehya's res to interruption work best for early game where you have no decent artifact, as that super armor work without any relation to any stats.
I like Dehya's mitigation ability a lot, it depends solely on her own investment and is an excellent way to beef up one's team when there is reason to avoid shields.
For overload comp, she works pretty well with any Electro unit (like Raiden etc) so Dehya's more like an aoe elemental reaction type. By 214% overload etc EM. While Vape and Melt feel abit weak. Tested with 4pcs Paradise Lost set and a New Mailed Flower event weapon.
Honestly that's the only way I've seen people get some value of her. It's kinda sad when you think about the fact that hoyo want's to giver her an artifact that won't help her much since people realized she's decent on an EM Build XD
@@Wolf_Spark indeed, so much fun experimenting EM stuffs on Dehya, having barbara and Raiden on her team and it's insane mix of colorful Paradise Dehya damage. haha
If the interruption resistance increase works with Wanderer in the air, it seems like she could be a good character for the Wanderer thanks to the damage redirection helping Wanderer survive with his abysmal health and defense, on top of the Pyro application helping him do more damage
I wanna see someone try her out with Wanderer. Idk if it will work or not but personally filling up the last slot for a shielder in a Wanderer team is kind of annoying and regardless of how much damage Dehya does I’d rather have Pyro being swirled with Yelan and Faruzan, or Yelan and Bennett for that pyro resonance.
i heard somewhere that her NAs during her burst does not do damage, only the automatic ones you get from doing her burst actually does dmg so NAing during her burst doesn’t actually speed up the rate of attack, but i’m not sure about the validity of this statement
@@slavber1 2.5 sec off field pyro application. Damage mitigation for the onfield. Healing just enough. Does she not line up with Nahidas off field dendro also. Lifting her field during burst just to place it back after. The biggest issue I have with it is her weapon makes no sense for it but her kit says burning to me.
@@cyborgnc1500 burning teams are just burgeon teams without hydro, also thoma is better. but if count burning teams as mono-pyro teams, yes, its basically her best team
@@slavber1 Yeah I agree . But what I am thinking is how Nilou is Hydro and Dendro only scales off HP. (Tinfoil hat time) I am thinking Pyro and Dendro only scaling off Attack. Another team that limits elements. Just for burning only. Now Dehya's kit makes more sense to me. (Remove Tinfoil hat). If you squint you can kinda see it. lol.
I like you're not just writing her off like many others and actually look for how is she intended to be used. It may need a few iterations but I am getting a feeling she is supposed to be the standard banner version of Zhongli. And there's still chance future patches will bring something that will make her better.
When I feel like messing with some interruption resistance (I don't have Zhong-li) I just use Layla... she has better up-time than Dehya (at least until C2) and does damage passively without me having to think about it. Plus her burst is so cheap it's like it's permanently available :o
Her C2 does nothing to help the ascension passive, so you'll still be looking at 9s of good resistance, same as if you didn't have it. It'll just let you get an extra 2-3 procs in, plus potentially do a bit more damage with your procs if you took damage. Also worth noting that Layla's off-field damage works on shielded enemies, which is important, as that's how she generates energy, with those things she shoots off. Dehya is also dependent on her ability to generate energy when it is proc'd... but like with Albedo and Raiden, it doesn't fire off against shielded enemies. Which it really should for Dehya and Albedo (Albedo especially, since his E is a very sizeable chunk of his value to the team).
Problem is that even mihoyo dont see a future w/ dehya which is y they threw her on standard. I suppose even Keqing was redeemed but statwise she was alrdy pretty strong on paper even before dendro and was literally in the same position as Yae miko. Dehya looks gud and decent but she’ll never b meta
Funnily enough, I stopped using shielders with Yoimiya, because most of the time her back-peddling is enough to evade any attacks coming her way, as shown here. You'll still need to dodge sometimes, but if you want to skip a shielder, or don't have a decent one built, she isn't unplayable.
Damage mitigation is like Aurius (Epic 7). That alone won't enable survivability, but it is effective when stacked on top of healing/shield sustain. For Genshin tho, stacking survivability is not the most important thing and healing or shield alone are already adequate. Still, who knows how much we will need it in the future. We could get more annoying and hard-hitting enemies.
I'm using her on vape yoimiya (double pyro double hydro). It works, she just needs a healer. Its a bit funky but right now I have a c1 mona with protoype amber since I don't wana commit to full heals. It does seem to keep up thankfully since she uses her burst so often, but im sure benny works just fine, I just wanted the extra hp from hydro resonance. Be cool if some day they add a triple element resonance that increases that element's dmg with the party, like 3 electro increases electro dmg delt.
during her story quest (i don't have her so that's why i'm specifying) i tried her with a burgeon team and she wasn't too bad? i had her with c6 bennett, c0 nahida, c1 collei, and c0 kokomi (?). she wasn't that bad actually, because i didn't have too much trouble triggering burgeon with her normal attacks, and her burst wasn't too bad either. she's definitely not the best character by a long shot but i wouldn't say she's the worst or that she's horrible and unusable since i actually liked playing her. (tip: if you want to do burgeon i'd suggest c6 bennett, nahida, and kokomi or mona. if you don't have c6 bennett you could get away with the dendro traveler, mona/kokomi, and yelan/xingqiu with dehya acting as the driver using her NAs during her e skill or burst to trigger burgeon)
Dehya has actually really helped me in abyss, I run Mono Geo on one side and Dehya’s mitigation being 48% reduction at level 8 as well as that 9 seconds of uptime on reduced interruption has made Bennett as a solo healer for my wanderer. Feels much better than my Thoma because failing to stack enough shields in his burst is really punishing. I do wish her burst was stronger since using fits nicely into a lot of rotations but the tanking aspect is the one part of her kit hoyo didn’t mess up. She’s disappointing because Pyro supports have only been worse since launch. The game LITERALLY Released with Bennett and Xiangling as THE Pyro supports, hoyo can’t power creep them on the raw numbers so they tried to go with damage mitigation. The issue with damage mitigation is if you make a Pyro version of Zhongli, you power creep HIM because Zhongli’s only draw back is the fact he has no reactions. Dehya’s field lasting 12 seconds compared to Zhongli’s 20 second shield that can be refreshed every 12 seconds means you’re trading a lot of potential mitigation because she’s Pyro. That mitigation costs her the ability to put up Xiangling numbers and without also prevents her from providing any offensive buffs that Bennett can provide unless you run 4 piece tenacity which Zhongli gets better use out of. She tries to accomplish way too much so the parts of her kit she does well are only passable and the weaker parts of her kit don’t contribute to what she does well. This is consistent of all Pyro supports after launch too, Xinyan’s shield is shockingly short and needs her burst to have a 100% uptime but her burst is too high cost to allow you to invest into her shield, and her passives don’t patch her issues due to the fact one of the just buffs physical damage and the other lowers the already unnecessary level system built into her shield. Thoma has the same energy problem. His burst is really high cost for a character that generates particles once per rotation so you need a good amount of ER to have his burst off cooldown but without hp you can’t stack his shields which leaves no room to invest into the damage of his burst. Pyro supports are obviously not allowed to compete with the launch two so when hoyo tries to get creative, they shit the bed. It’s been only four stars in the past but making a 5 star with the exact same limits of not being able to compete with Xiangling or Bennett leads to the most underwhelming character in existence.
I’m saying this as someone who loves Xinyan, Thoma, and Dehya. It’s clear that Hoyo refuses to make a third Pyro support on the tier of Bennett and Xiangling. Even Yelan is allowed to be a sidegrade and used as a partner to Xingqu, with the addition of the 5 star character fluff of only scaling with hp and having her breakthrough charged shot. I don’t see why Dehya couldn’t be a sidegrade to Xiangling with her 5 star fluff being her resistance interruption and damage mitigation
The best display of Dehya's value was how you couldn't find a single enemy that could hit you before it died lol nonetheless 9 sec uptime out of 20 seconds is garbage, no way around that.
if you compare her to zhongli shield then its the comparison about survivability. which is quite interesting from new player perspective because... while those players exploring zone on their first playthrough with Dehya, they will be mostly immune to these stuff as it literally cannot exceed her healing passive (but req. high HP) ・dragonspine, inazuma in some area and chasm goo's DoT damage. ・Azdaha rune curse which normally you need shield or you take DoT, this DoT can't kill dehya while other attack moves from him could do so if player didn't dodge. ・Signora's cold, heat DoT+ground damage. again, assuming you don't take any other big hit from her. of course, all these has nothing to do with harder content so veteran player will be like "..so what?" but yeah, I think that was her design to begin with. being in standard banner as QoL improvement and easier to get for losing 50/50 (I'm aware its harder for some people especially me not having diluc for entire 2 years despite of being dolphin)
I would have preferred her E skill to do dmg only on cast, but enemies within her field constantly have pyro applied to them with no damage along with the limited increased poise. No damage, but the utility is better but thats just me :3
The damage mitigation is just inferior to every shield. The uptime is awful, and the resistance to interruption only lasts 9 of the 12 seconds as well. And no, her damage isn't much better at C1. It's barely functional at all.
Hmm, Before Dehya release, i noticed most content creator used to called her "D Haya", but after Her release they forgot their pronounciation. By the way, Nice guide content. Keep it up.👍
@Moga hey a bit of advice for the god mode showcase. Her best teams come with 2 cores. Core one: Dehya, Xingqiu, and Yelan, from there you add a pyro carry like Yoimiya or Hutao for a vape comp. Her damage reduction pairs well with Xingqiu's and Yelan adds hydro resonance for more HP. Don't worry about her stealing vapes, she really doesn't, in fact what tends to happen is she occasionally allows Xingqiu to get a vape in every few hits but this comp lets Yoimiya vape on her best hits and Xingqiu will provide just enough healing to keep Yoimiya fairly healthy. Core two: Dehya, Bennet, and Kazuha, then add a cryo unit with high cryo application or very strong cryo hits like Ganyu, Ayaka, or a DPS built Chongyun. The more interesting and fun team is with Chongyun as this comp allows him to quad melt and has a great rotation since Chongyun reduces Dehya's E cool down. C6 Bennet is recommended but not required it just lets Chongyun get the occasional extra melt when he normal attacks in the overlapping areas of his and Bennet's fields. As for Dehya's build I highly recommend full HP millelith and equip her with an R5 Bell. As a note on her with the bell, the shield will only be around for the first rotation, but it will be much stronger than listed due to Dehya's kit. Another interesting noncore team with her is Dehya, Kazuha, full EM Raiden, and Nahida with Nahida using a prototype amber. This is an Overburn team where Nahida will use her E and Q then Dehya will apply pyro to burn them, Kazuha then swirls and infuses his Q with pyro and finally you activate raiden's E before swapping to Nahida to normal attacks till you need to refresh things. Try not to be too close to the enemies as the overloads will be very strong, and a normal attacking Nahida is prone to being quite flammable lol. But when done right it's really fun. I hope you enjoy these.
Someone said that basically, Dehya does a role (as a tank) that is not needed in this game. She is cool but with the way Genshin is, her abilities just... aren't necessary. Especially after Hoyo said they aren't making new combat content. Play her if you want, no one is stopping you, at least I am not. If you find her fun, go for it. But that's just the feeling I got from her. Is she usable? Yes. It's just that while you CAN use her, I can find another character (be it 5-star or a 4-star) that can do the same but BETTER. And that's the sad part for me.
ive been having fun with my "gotta go fast" team of rosaria, dehya, kazuha and jean, where im just constant zoom. but apart from that shes really good as a reaction enabler, and i think a really good comparison for her would be albedo/zhongli hybrid in terms of what she offers. Of course, her kit is different, but it gives someone an idea of what her skills are like (sanctum/blossom and shield/interruption resistance) she might also slap in a burgeon team too. This honestly just may be another kokomi situation, or it may not. All i know is that im enjoying punching the fuck out of the enemies and screaming "muda muda" every time LOL
@@miraqen7801 I couldn't be bothered to watch the shortened version of that once he was resorting to using a C6 Bennett to try and make it work. I mean, if you're doing that, then you can use non-pyro characters even, like Layla or Zhongli. I did like the bit where he was trying to use her as a carry, and the boss mob was getting resists to another element, meaning Dehya wasn't carrying. That was one of the many amusing Dehya failures in that video. Anyway, she's not good for burgeon, for a few reasons. She can't proc burgeons on tall enemies. She can't proc them on shielded enemies. The 2.5s between procs, coupled with the 2 procs hitting a mob per 0.5s limit means she does far less damage than Thoma. And so on.
@@Axterix13 hmm yeah fair. The only time she’d be able to proc it would be on the e and the recast e. I think she’s definitely more of a support unit that’d probs be better for a quick swap style team if you want to use her burst. Or a dps that has CD time where you have dead time during a rotation. And I had considered using my c6 benny in a melt team with her. Still, time will tell since people are still testing things. Hopefully we can find her niche
I’m coping with the hope she’s the herald of a new meta upcoming like Kokomi was for healing meta, but honestly, so confused why MHY would purposefully lose out on money by making such a beloved character turn out like this.
Apparently there's an artifact set made for dehya coming in 3.6, so there's definitely hope.

Constellation 7: When Jumping, your ultimate won't get cancelled.
Constellation 8: When using her skill or burst, characters who previously couldn't assist Dehya by activating their abilities will assist Dehya indefinitely.
Constellation 9: Dehya's burst now counts as Normal Attacks (And is now able to work with Yelan and Xingqiu)

I find that is solved by using her burst. The uptime lines up pretty good.
I belive that at c2 if you just double cast the E it would have a 2 seconds cooldown. That is very interesting for a standard banner character
For real, if only her Burst reset/refresh her E-Skill uptime like Fischl and Kokomi
@@airdrighmor1439 Issue is she doesn't get the damage mitigation while in burst because it removes her skill, so she can die if her passive heal is on CD.

Ganyu dendro melt is also not bad, but elemental skill cooldown is long abd duration not enough.
Now she’s good in burgeon!

She wants to use Sacrificial Greatsword for uptime though.
hellllss yeeeeee, gimme that team build theory craft!
Even C4 Yanfei's shield (15 secs) last longer then her Fiery Sanctum.
Albedo's lasts for 30 seconds with a 4 second cooldown.
Dehya's lasts for 12 seconds with a 20 second cooldown.

Physical embodiment of "sit there and look pretty"
Actually she is an off field pyro applier and defensive support that can enable some strong teams and battery a pyro carry like Hu Tao or even Klee. The best thing about using her in vape and melt comps is she doesn't steal reactions with crystalize like Zhongli does, she doesn't even steal the reaction with her own pyro application if the other elements involved are being applied fast enough. Like pairing her with both Xingqiu and Yelan then adding your pyro carry. At most she will let Xingqiu get an occasional vape but thanks to Yelan there will still be hydro applied before the Carry's next hit.

We could get more annoying and hard-hitting enemies.

during her story quest (i don't have her so that's why i'm specifying) i tried her with a burgeon team and she wasn't too bad? i had her with c6 bennett, c0 nahida, c1 collei, and c0 kokomi (?). she wasn't that bad actually, because i didn't have too much trouble triggering burgeon with her normal attacks, and her burst wasn't too bad either. she's definitely not the best character by a long shot but i wouldn't say she's the worst or that she's horrible and unusable since i actually liked playing her.
You should try out the 4 ruin guard island to see her mitigation
and 3 other co-op players
The best display of Dehya's value was how you couldn't find a single enemy that could hit you before it died lol
nonetheless 9 sec uptime out of 20 seconds is garbage, no way around that.
It’s probably copium but I still 36 star abyss with Dehya, ganyu, kazuha, Bennett team. Only takes the best characters in the game 😂😭
She's is not a dps, thats why her burst only does endless punching and no other effects at all.
Hoyoverse did her dirty NGL
her only really good team would be a ganyu melt team with nahida and benny since even burgeon doesnt work if the enemy is too tall
if you compare her to zhongli shield then its the comparison about survivability. which is quite interesting from new player perspective because...
while those players exploring zone on their first playthrough with Dehya, they will be mostly immune to these stuff as it literally cannot exceed her healing passive (but req. high HP)
・dragonspine, inazuma in some area and chasm goo's DoT damage.
To those who have Hu Tao and Dehya, may I ask what happens if you use Hu Tao’s elemental while Dehya’s damage share is active?
I don't think Hu Tao's HP loss is considered DMG, therefore Dehya doesn't mitigate anything.
Hutao not taking damage from her e is bad tho
I'm using her with Full EM as an Overload/OverVape trigger on my Soup team, with Sucrose, Fischl, Beidou/Xingqiu
I would have preferred her E skill to do dmg only on cast, but enemies within her field constantly have pyro applied to them with no damage along with the limited increased poise. No damage, but the utility is better but thats just me :3
Give her the clam set with HP artifacts and she won't die, but also do some damage too.. kinda.
She basically can supertank if you stack her HP up really high.
Can't see her replacing Zhongli
I was having beep withdrawals. Rewatched for that reason alone.
I saw an amusing build: Clam Dehya. She doesn’t heal anyone but herself, buuutt it’s funny to see her destroy enemies passively with the clam
Its a tik tok meme build at best in abyss is useless.
I pulled for Benny cons and ended up with dehya
My condolences 😔
I'm sorry
Finally. Someone who can use The Bell
u can use nahida's elemental skill to pick up the pupas
The damage mitigation is just inferior to every shield. The uptime is awful, and the resistance to interruption only lasts 9 of the 12 seconds as well. And no, her damage isn't much better at C1. It's barely functional at all.
Moga: Everything is too weak
Me : 😐
Hmm, Before Dehya release, i noticed most content creator used to called her "D Haya", but after Her release they forgot their pronounciation.
I like how she's always smiling
She’s really cool i like her play style- would be happy if i lost my 50/50 on her
Someone said that basically, Dehya does a role (as a tank) that is not needed in this game.
And that's the sad part for me.
im using dehya and beidou so far its good
i like the "her damage isnt even that horrible" while also failing to do 5% to the boss
Lite tip. Use The e skill in The burst mode
ive been having fun with my "gotta go fast" team of rosaria, dehya, kazuha and jean, where im just constant zoom. but apart from that shes really good as a reaction enabler, and i think a really good comparison for her would be albedo/zhongli hybrid in terms of what she offers. Of course, her kit is different, but it gives someone an idea of what her skills are like (sanctum/blossom and shield/interruption resistance)
she might also slap in a burgeon team too. This honestly just may be another kokomi situation, or it may not. All i know is that im enjoying punching the fuck out of the enemies and screaming "muda muda" every time LOL
burgeon team? have you seen Zajef's Dehya testing stream? 😂
And so on.
@@miraqen7801 I have no idea who that is and I also don’t care.
