    They're spot on on Seattle. Especially with the Asian guy with the long hair and red hat. You can literally see people of differences races hang out with each other on a daily bases here. The majority here don't really care about race when it comes to having a relationship.

    • @brendenwhiteley3847
      @brendenwhiteley3847 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      race only really exists in south seattle i would say. when i lived in skyway it was weird how divided shit was. the black kids like shunned asians and whites, and the hispanic kids were like completely seperate.

      @DJ_BROBOT 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      What?! Were you a loner, because I worked/lived thru the south end....that is the #1 place where black, asian, polynesian and white folks actually hang together tight...unless they straight from their respective countries ( like, came over last night), then I can see that, but usually that aint the case

    • @brendenwhiteley3847
      @brendenwhiteley3847 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Francis Herrera idk it was a while back (like 06') but i live in kenmore now which is like just north of seattle and the freeze is nonexistent. plus the only time race is brought up is when people make jokes about white kids lol there isnt really any racism.

      Giovannis Sanctuary I know for sure it's not cheap. I check the site like hotpads and zillow, the rent can be 900+ for 1 room, they also have 750+ for a room but you shared the house, which I don't like. I'd prefer more space for my artistic mind. I still think the Midwest and some selective southern states are more affordable than any east or west coast that has more desirability i guess.

It's the culture here. People are really friendly. I think it's possibly just that guy in the video and some Asian folks, especially the elderly. Most people who visit Seattle(or live here) will say that the people here are really nice.

      I, as an Asian person, would frankly state that Seattle really sucks. It is not the cold and rainy weather that sucks here. It is the locals, the people here, and their stink self-centered attitudes that make me really hate living here in the Seattle area. Plan on moving out from WA in two to three years.

Didn't really get it. People were super friendly. I've made some Seattle friends and I've met them up at least twice before I had to fly back to Florida. I love how progressive the city is and I feel like we're so far behind back home. It is such a different culture. Regardless, I feel like I fit in there so much more than here.

    When I spent the summer out in Seattle (I'm from Virginia) the vibe was totally different. It's so true, people on the streets don't really stop to ask how you are, which I like because everyone in the South does it and it just makes things awkward. The Asian community in Washington vs Virginia is so much more modern, whereas the east coast has a lot of traditional/fob families.

    As-Salamu Aleikum, Seattle Asians aren’t just limited to Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Filipinos. There’s Indians, Pakistanis, Asians of mixed Yemeni and Indian heritage (especially in Redmond) and Lebanese in Seattle as well. Maybe you should talk to some South Asians and West Asians as well. I’m of West Asian and a tiny bit of South Asian heritage, you should talk to more Brown Asians.

    • @taihenne2116

      It's simple, you consider yourself asian... but THEY DON'T. Get over it or find a different classification. They will never accept brown people.

    It is true that rich people live on the East side of Seattle.
    We live in bellevue, but we are not rich.
    Asian parents, and probably other parents too, have to pay for a very expensive home that looks all sh*tty but because the house is in the eastside and the homes are closer to better schools, that drives the cost of the home more than a big, beautiful house you can buy down in the southside seattle and probably at the north too.

      wherevver whites, especially rich, then gonna good school mean fund for school that area better so get better teachers, buildings n infrastructure n great useless jobs from government and corporations nearby too so just make area expensive part high tax, part suttle prejudice n connection due lot government boss live there too, but expensive houses, area or even cheap area but mostly asians, then tax so high, fee, fine n too many laws n jail but little service, fund, school n cop for asians n blacks are underclass due still viewed asians as underdogs, 2nd class citizens, not real Americans, thats real best free nnfair America for u.

    It's true what these Seattle Asians said about California. Koreans in their own bubble. Philippinos in their own bubbles. And so on.

    • @HanGookPOWER
      @HanGookPOWER 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +bboymonk3y because you have to take into account the land mass of California, which is widely spread out too. California in general is like that. Asians originally moved into different areas when they first came. The smaller the area, the more likely it would be condensed and compact. Not to mention larger populations, which also people are more familiar with those communities when they first arrive into that state.

    • @mikoyyuy11
      @mikoyyuy11 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would agree with you in some points HanGookPOWER
      But it's also the fact that CA has more Asian immigrants (aka FOBs like me) and Washington didn't have as much Asian immigrants.

      Bboymonkey. The same could be said about the east Asian community in Los Angeles. It is a very segregated city.
      But getting back to seattle, people are not really social in seattle due to the "Seattle Freeze." And this phenomenon is true!! Hence, maybe the observation of yours that you see Koreans in their bubbles, Filipinos in their own bubbles, Cambodians in their bubbles, Vietnamese in their bubbles, etc......
      People in seattle, generally, are in their own bubbles.

    I'm a black guy that is from South Carolina and I've always live back and forth from South Carolina to Seattle since 1994. All of the Asians that I've met personally in Seattle so far has been very cool to me and I've even dated a couple of Thai girls and Japanese girls that were attracted to me and vice versa. I am planning on moving back again soon but, I haven't been there since 2008 so I don't know how much things have changed since then. I've stayed in Southend during the last time I was there and in 94 I stayed right off of 99 in SeaTac. I have a brother and an older sister they're both live in Federal Way now. What are some of the best areas over there now and where are the best electronic music areas and the City? I do produce electronic music, movie score music, voice over/ background acting and back to DJing

      T Lin. You're freaking kidding me, right? Seattle is more clean than San Francisco?!! What?! Have you been to certain parts of down town Seattle? You have homeless people taking a shit on the sidewalks, LOTS of tent cities where homeless people set up camp, homeless people harassing pedestrians and people walking by, panhandlers, drug needs on the streets or in the park. Seattle is going to the shitters. I am talking about now,, early 2019, and with the boneheaded politicians who run Seattle, problems will get worse. You even have instances of BRAZEN homeless people assaulting store or business employees, or homeless thugs STEALING items in front of employees because they know that the Seattle Police will respond late if they are called, or the homeless thug knows that he will get arrested, but released back onto the street. It is sad, but that is how bad and dirty Seattle is compared to San Francisco.

    • @chrischeng158

      T Lin if nature is your thing, Seattle is way better than SF in that. Ski resort is 1.5 hours away, whereas in SF you have to drive 4 hours. Housing cheaper. You have three national parks that are 2.5 hours away, whereas in SF the closest one is 4 hours and it’s PACKED.
