I had a lot of success with Malamar. Tera Type: Grass Nature: Bold Ability: Contrary EV: 252HP/252DEF Moves, Reflect, Skill Swap, Topsy Turvy, Tera Blast Use Topsy Turvy after Torterra uses Shell Smash to reverse its stat changes. Then use skill swap to give it contrary. This will lower its offensive stats even more when it uses shell smash again. Finally, use reflect to reduce the physical damage and Tera blast grass.
@@PanFro Yeah, it’s really contingent upon your raid partners bringing the other viable Pokemon. If at least two of them bring Serperior, then the battle will go by quicker. The skill swap will take away the contrary ability so Melwscarada can crit with Flower Trick.
Whaddup PanFro! Just used the Serperior strat myself, and found success after just a few attempts! Thanks so much for the guide man; Torterra is my favorite starter so I really wanted this exclusive one more than any of the others. Cheers my dude! 🤘
Awesome video! My Serperior build was different. I did max HP instead of max SPA. I didn’t use Breaking Swipe or Taunt. I used Leaf Storm, Energy Ball, and Protect. Worked 3rd try with two intimidators, and Torterra wasn’t using EQ throughout the fight (except scripted). I also did not get knocked out.
The Serperior setup worked flawlessly. And get this, each time the Energy Ball was fired olff it also took the Sp. Def of the Enemy down each and every time. I knocked them out EARLY. Talk abt a lucky roll.
With Arboliva is easier. With its hidden ability, the earthquake hits with half the damage. Just equip a metronome and spam A button on giga drain and tera when it's available.
Orthworm fighting tera impish nature 252 in defense and hp 4 in speed iron defense body press (pp up body press) mud slap and protect for ability removal term use mud slap till tera then 3 iron defenses then body press till kill😊
The problem with serperior is you have to rely on rng to raise your special defense with earth power. If it doesn’t then it’s a wasted attempt. You don’t do enough damage even with maxed special attack as long as the shield is up to stay alive with base special defense. At least it’s 0/3 in my experience.
@@mrpokefan8369I didn’t but I will. I actually went with an eviolite haunter grass Tera build the next attempt. I’ve gone 4/4 with it so far. I’ll give serperior another go here in a bit 🍻
I followed the exact same order of abilities of the video and never lost to the torterra I`m already 8/8. It`s crazy that you lost all, because my hp never droped drastically after the first death. Are your sp def IV best? You also could take a look at the nature of your serperior (if it`s lowering your sp def)
I accidentally deleted breaking swipe from my serperior by changing its moves (i got it from a 7⭐️ raid) and now I can’t relearn the move because I don’t have the DLC 😢
Just tried Serperior and I got killed very quickly... :( Is Taunt to prevent shell smash? But it uses it right from the start before I can choose my first attack! :(

Only change I'd make to Orthworm is swap EQ for Protect for when he wipes your ability.
Yup thanks for catching that!
And run metranom

I'll have to test it out and see for myself
Alright I tried this build and it’s incredibly slow, almost too slow to clear. Might be a bit faster if your partners are more offensive

Thanks again panfro! I’ll be tackling this shortly ❤️❤️
good luck!

Thanks!! Worked a charm
Glad it helped
Howdy thanks worked awesomely used Serperior
Thanks Panfro, we appreciate you.
thank you! I appreciate you and all the support fam!

I used metronome instead of shell bell with Orthoworm
Orthworm was really easy to get ready and worked well, of course I got stuck after the victory screen but hey at least the music is nice…
What do you recommend for the coming Rayquaza raid? Tell me i can finally use a rock type...
Watch the video on my channel
Can you explain what you meant about what's good about dying and the defense comment?
Cheers are permanent when used on the turn you die
@PanFro oh that's awesome didn't know that.
I really need to beat this Pokémon
Orthworm fighting tera impish nature 252 in defense and hp 4 in speed iron defense body press (pp up body press) mud slap and protect for ability removal term use mud slap till tera then 3 iron defenses then body press till kill😊
The 2 builds in the video will clear it
Have serperior with grass Tera type with shell bell
@ I got Torterra
I just used a build of a Tera Grass Haunter of all things...
*And it worked!*
Nice! I would say it is the best support build for this raid too
@@PanFro No support... *it solo'ed the raid*
I know that’s what’s the “too” means in my comment 😂😂😂
Got it thanks
very helpful worked 2nd attempt

Havo you tried swapping Energy Ball for Giga Drain?

You don’t need a special defense buff with serperior, you out heal all the damage you take with energy ball.

use the other mon then, itll be easy

Watch the part where I do the raid with serperior
Are you level 100 with trained stats?
How come you only used taunt once? It's not trying shell smash after barrier?
It could not use shell smash because I taunted. You only need to taunt one time
Wait i thought taunt only worked for 3 turns. @PanFro
@@chachoz007 Correct. This is the reason why you should use it on turn 4, before the shield goes up.
What about alolan nine tails?
would lose pretty quickly
I went wormy with orthworm
yup it works just slower than my other build
@PanFro it's a marathon not a sprint lol
@@DarthCobalt55 speed is always key for these raids, I did recommend both in my video either way
@PanFro ill try with serperior as well
I tried it but my bots got its shield up
Taunt on turn 3 and the bots won’t get its shields up
@ ok thanks
My taunt is failing every time sad face emoji
You can’t taunt through shield
I used my Arceus.
Any violet player able to help me quickly shiny hunt dreepy?? Ill help hunt in return
Lilligant Probably is best choice
