- RBI On 2000 Rupee Note : രാജ്യത്ത് 2000 രൂപയുടെ നോട്ടുകള്‍ പിന്‍വലിച്ചു. Reserve Bank Of Indiaയുടേതാണ് തീരുമാനം. 2000 രൂപയുടെ വിതരണം നിർത്തിവയ്ക്കാൻ ബാങ്കുകളോട് റിസർവ് ബാങ്ക് നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചു. നിലവിലുള്ള 2000 രൂപ നോട്ടുകൾ September30 വരെ മാത്രമാണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ കഴിയുക. ഒരു ബാങ്കിൽ നിന്നും പരമാവധി ഇരുപതിനായിരം രൂപ മാത്രമാണ് മാറിയെടുക്കാൻ ആവുക. ഇതോടുകൂടെ രാജ്യത്തെ ഏറ്റവും ഉയർന്ന മൂല്യമുള്ള കറൻസി 500 രൂപയായി മാറി.

No country exports high security intaglio printing plates, since these are high security items. Only forgers try to duplicate them and are rarely successful, which is why fake currency notes can easily be detected by any trained bank teller.
The third aspect is the paper. Currency printing paper is normally a mix of cotton and paper pulp, made specifically to the requirements of the government ordering it. Currency paper too is not made in India, therefore it has to be imported. Although all government contracts for supply of currency paper to the specification of such a country specify that the same paper cannot be sold to any other entity, but with high stakes it is possible, though improbable for the paper manufacturing unit to sell it to others. They will not do it, since having a regular customer ordering specialty paper from them is valuable to them in the long term and contracts specifically prohibit its sale to others. Such paper also includes security features like a metal ribbon and a watermark, which is not easy to duplicate by a third party.

Indian National Congress is like the Indian Cricket team playing on bouncing wickets. On paper it has the most potential. The kind of background many of the ministers have is amazing. In reality, it is clearly clueless. PC and MMS are the best examples of that.
In 1990s, both of them were excellent finance ministers when they had little expected out of them. Manmohan heralded the landmark opening up of India in 1991. It was Chidambaram's 1997 landmark budget - Dream Budget - that got me really excited about finance & economics. He was bold, imaginative and thought out of the box. He clearly has the skills to do that job.
Some of the highlights of his 1997 budget include slashing of income taxes, corporate taxes and import duties. He did away with dividend tax and corporate surcharge. Black money was curtailed and economy was boosted. Markets went on fire and was universally appreciated. His Harvard degree was not wasted.
But by 2004, the whole of Congress ministry became like the characters in a Vampire movie. You would keep thinking one as good guy, until he starts sucking blood. They had Montek Singh, Manmohan Singh and P Chidambaram. One would have expected them to supercharge the economy. In the first 2-3 years at least, it looked they might not be that bad. Tenth year after that 'dream budget'. Exports were going up and markets started recovering after voting them out in 2004. But, overall policies went on a progressive decay from about 2007.
In summary, PC was a good Finance Minister in the 90s and has the skills. But, he no longer has the mindset.
The reforms of 1991 were suggested by Dr Subramanium Swamy even Dr. Manmohan Singh acknowledges it.

The detailed line of events are as follows.
In 2005 , when P.Chidambaram was finance Minister , the contract for printing of Currency Notes was given to an UK based firm called De La Rue, the same firm which prints the currency notes of Pakistan.
In 2005 when all this started Ashok Chawla, a close aide of PC is the principle secretary of Finance Ministry.
Another close Aide Arvind Mayaram was Joint secretary.
These three persons are responsible for all these treachery activities.
Also do not forget that Ashok Chawla is also an accused in Aircel Maxis case.
Arvind mayaram created SPMCIL (Security Printing and Minting corporation of India Ltd.) in 2006. The founding Managing director is Mayaram himself and Chair man is Ashok Chawla.
There was a committee called Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) . Any corporation regarding security and note printing should have the approval of that committee.
But with the blessings of PC the SPMCIL by passed that committee and formed.
After some time when Govt. of India is thinking of procuring SPP (Security Printing Paper) from other firms, A British based company called De La Rue came forward, of course with the interference and recommendation of SPMCIL.
Reserve Bank of India’s “Note Mudran Company” has entrusted the job of finding SPP and rightly so they recommended “De La Rue” of UK.
As the same company is also responsible for printing Pakistan currency, with the help of our treachery personnel and experience De La Reu could print lot of fake Indian currency in Pakistan and supplied to sleeper cells situated in India, thus trying to grow terrorist activities in India.
No body knows how much PC is received and now the case is still under investigation. with that fake currency 2008 terror attacks were carried out and many more to a smaller extent.
After 2014, When Modi Govt. came to power, to curb this activity the govt. has to impose demonetization, even though it involves difficulty to the general public, but keeping larger security interests of the nation.
The irony of the fact is that the same PC and other congress leaders criticized the action, not because it created difficulties to public but because it nullified their effort of treachery.
Shall we still feel that those who deceived the nation for wealth should go un punished?
