You're right, the costume and headdress look very much Bharatnatyam but the dance is Kuchipudi style. It's a movie, I guess they couldn't find the best consultants on time for the filming, LOL.

Awesome song and performance. For those who didn't watch the movie and are confused by two dancers here - one is the real dancer Chandrakala, another is her dead sister Pournami. It's the best part of the movie, but with context they did female protagonist dirty and ending was very rushed. Even at the end male protagonist, a recent widower, still saw female protagonist's sister, his recently killed wife, in her. And it looked like they got married in the end more out of guilt, obligation and nudging from all sides.
I agree. Kesava definitely didn't marry her out of love. And this ending is very upsetting, I don't understand why they couldn't have made another one, if the film had turned out to be long because of this, then they could have just made fewer comic scenes at the beginning
@@domee-gq3kp When a completely different plot takes half the movie's screen time you can already tell it's messed up. Should have made two different movies here. I feel sorry for the female protagonst here and male protagonist acted really weird in the first half considering context of what happened to him just recently. And furthermore, because of the abrupt ending none of the villains got their comeuppance. What happened to the lecherous lord? It's doubtful marrying the female protagonsit would save her from his advances if he wanted to pursue her. No mention of stepmother or her brother. Or the father of that crazy rival family. Super lame.
