      eh. current fuel cells require obscene amounts of platinum to function, which rules them out as a alternative for mass production vehicles, and the most promising fuel cell technology that would be viable requires pristine graphene to function.
      News Flash: pristine graphene is also the stuff that would boost battery technology to a point that EV´s would be superior to hydrogen. So there´s really no definitive answer to which technology will rule in the future yet.

    This was my final year project at uni back in 2016. These exact reasons I took as well as the idea of having a 'halo' car or a poster car for hydrogen to get the next generation to aspire to the technology. I'd love to get some opinions on it if people want to. Foolishly I got a bit too excited and its design is 0% road legal 😂😂 but the ideas are there.

    • @tacourf1
      @tacourf1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For my final year project I designed a hydrogen poster car for infiniti. I've wanted to take another crack at it for a while now but work and life have stopped me so far. This car used a mix of fuel cells and HICE technology to power it. The car used a stretchable metal 'skin' to save on material as well as a flexible verticle spine for aero. It was a little mental 😂

    As a person who designs whole cars. I think the design is forward thinking. They designed a car without having the limitations of tradition. They broke free. Got their creativity and ambition and just said no limits and made the car. And I love that they were thinking way outside the box. I don’t see anything in the design that is unnecessary. But one may think so. I wish we would all think outside the box and design something as crazy as this. What’s wrong with innovation?

    I'm sorry but you completely left out all of the drawbacks of hydrogen. Saying it's supply is basically unlimited is inaccurate because almost all of it is locked into molecules like water or natural gas from which you have to extract it. To "charge" a car using hydrogen from water, you need to invest the energy to charge THREE electric cars. Besides that, fuel cells use tons of platinum and are still pretty huge.

    • @richardike2342

      You don't need lots of power to produce hydrogen. That is a propaganda that must have been started by the Oil companies in order to product their profits. Electrolysis unlocks Hydrogen from water molecules. But you will be venturing into suppressed technology territory, and would attract sinister government forces to yourself. I know this because l have already built a Hydro-combustion device before, and knew of others who have too.

    You should try tiktok man, if you make your content short and fun there I bet you’ll get really popular in short notice! It’d probably bring some people to the TH-cam channel too... idk, maybe start with some sketching tutorials and then maybe show some cars you redesign (and the process) ?

    One of the car manufacturers that never build it? I hope so in this case! Look at it! What is this! My good this thing is absolutely hideous. Even the first gen Veyron or the Hunaudieres are appealing with their thickness but this thing: my goodness no. Honestly I thought we are in a time were harmony and simplicity rule the design industry with a few exceptions like Hyundai and Lamborghini but this thing really is a whole new level of curves and pieces that don't fit together at all like look at it

      To be fair, most upcoming evs are citing charging times in the 20-30 minute mark. That time will only decrease. Hydrogen isn't bad however, there's just no infrastructure around it currently relative to ev and gas powered vehicles, and consumer knowledge of it is very low.

    • @KB-bh9hp
      @KB-bh9hp 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think in the future, it will be a mix of all 3 types of propulsion. Some will stick with typical ICE, others evs, and some will pick hydrogen powered vehicles.
