@rebeldiamond Yes, they are very jealous ppl. They want the world Chantel comes from. They think coming to America will put them on the same level as them. They just don't understand, that they can come here, make more money, buy a house, buy better clothes, etc, but no matter how much money they may make, they cannot buy CLASS. They may change and dress the outside, but the moment they open their mouths and start with the posturing, it's a done deal.
She was a mistress and had the children of a man who didn't even want to commit to her. Not good morals and she probably set a very bad example for her kids.

Pedro is evil! I saw it all along! He would not get a real job. Or do anything, he waited for her to do everything. Then he demonized her and his in laws the whole time to justify his nasty behavior. They are separated and he is still miserable dude, taking cheap shots at someone he used and abused. I knew he didn't care for her when she failed her exam. Dude whats your problem? Its over let it go! She took you out of poverty. Move on, he seems very jealous of her like a caddy chick. He seems like he wants a man.
He was working his ass off in a restaurant and warehouse. And a few years ago he got his real estate license and he is doing well now as a realtor. Pedro is not the only one to blame
@@Rapha187working at the restaurant (washing the dishes probably) and in the warehouse gives you money to survive, not to make a savings. He got his real-estate license right at the time when he started flirting and treated her like nothing. I'm pretty sure that the money were hers. Don't forget that he was also supporting those 2 leeches from DR.

He was mad when she failed her exam bc that meant he had to continue working at the warehouse instead of working towards his career bc he planned to go to school but they weren’t both going to attend school at the same time bc it didn’t work financially. Everyone got on him for his reaction but it was bc he felt Chantel wasn’t focused on taking the exam and studying. Y’all hate the man so much, y’all not looking at everything how they BOTH are at fault for ending this marriage SMH!
@ashleyjones5396, you do realize Pedro couldn't work in the USA for the 1st 3yrs of marriage until he got his green card. So Chantel was working multiple jobs and going to school. Prior to him coming her her family supported her thru school but she worked multiple jobs to pay over 10k to get him here. Which is why she didn't go to school full time the first 4yrs of marriage. So yeah he should have worked in the warehouse because let's face it he was spending money on his mom & sister, getting them a 3bd apt while he was telling Chantel they couldn't afford a 2bd apt. Chantel is still driving her beat up car but he went and bought him a brand new German car. He spent a lot of her money then his when he was finally able to work on his mom & sister. He wasn't this solid provider everyone wants to think. Most wife's cover a multitude of the husband's short comings and will never tell it until pushed. Like his supposed ED at 30yr old, a year with no sex. If Chantel would have told us that 3 years ago when it happened we could have told her the play. He was a whole con. Like he told his mom & sister in ep1 outside the gym when explain the divorce offer Chantel sent him "She offered US half." In ep 3 he showed himself again when asked in his confessional did he cheat with Corima, he said I never messed with Corima after i got with Chantel. But he & his family spent the first 2 episodes trying to stress that he was a Virgin and Chantel was his first love & the only girl he ever dated. He was with Corima & in love with her before his family put him up to this con.

If I was blindsided by Pedro’s actions, I know she was. The one thing that I do not appreciate as a Latina woman is her mother constantly mocking Pedro’s accent. She’s done that from day 1 and I’m shocked that TLC has not addressed it. It’s inappropriate!

I liked the interview with Chantel. She sounds much better and healed. She deserves the best. I really loved how she mentioned that she doesn't have a specific type when it comes to dating. That resonates with me as it shows she is looking for true love. You deserve all that and more. Sometimes, God removes things from our lives that are not meant for us, and it can be difficult to accept, especially when we're hurting. Wishing you the best.

I know the feeling. I married someone from another Country when I was 23 he was 21 finding his way here in the U.S., I was a Nurse before I met him, a Teacher when I met him. He was really Handsome! My name is Shantel with an "S" it is such a coincidence to hear Chantels story. It reminds me so so much of my own life story tbh. Everytime I watch an episode It's almost like mirroring my own experience so I truly can relate. All I can say is take each day (Day by Day) give yourself (heart) enough time to heal babygirl! I am now 50 yrs/old! I learned a lot throughout the years both positive & negative Wisdom! People will always say "Oh you shouldn't have any issues getting someone else" that maybe so However, Time heals Most Wounds & Just Take your Time & Don't Settle!!
