Nothin' like having 3" between the ground and the joint you gotta weld. I find myself in that position more often than I care to think about. You almost a lens that covers the whole width of your mask!
+Cory i get in a lot of tight spaces like that. i take an old lens and tape it or make a rig out of rods to hold it. no helmet on so i can get my head really low for a good sight angle. get alil arc burn on the forehead or neck but atleast your more comfortable haha
Very awkward position but it still looks like fun. I guess I like welding with my everlast too much saying that. Doesn't your arm cramp up having to weld in such a confined position?
I have been enjoying your videos, as a former video producer/cameraman and now weldor, I think you are doing some great work......the welding with the head on the ground is what I seem to get a lot of these days, only it is 8 inches over a sewage treatment tank full of poo...keep up the great work....
To all of you guys that are asking about the ground each welding machine has to be grounded to the work piece and it does not effect any of the other machines
dang what a beautiful place to work. Bet you see a lot of wildlife. Looking at these vids I always think "DON'T LOOK AT THE ARC" but then I remember its a video. I bet this is actually decent weather compared to some jobs up north. You boys really get down to business, so to speak. Thanks for crawling around with a camera to show us something we'd never see otherwise.
nice work.i'd like to see the welds after they have cooled. i learned a lot by watching and especially liked the bent rod technique for coming up on that pipe. effing sick ability these welders have. for sure.
Wow~ What you have been doing seems so awesome! I appreciate your showing videos that must be inspiring. I'm a korean welder living in Edmonton, Canada. been working a company making a steel structure for the oil fields. Now I plan to get a B-ticket then head up Fort Mc. Where R U working now?
sweet bellhole... can't believe the civil guys didn't let you backfill the sand to grade after the welding was complete. not like a few buckets of sand on the beams would hurt anything. was a there a particular reason?
the welders can cut off the rods anywhere as long as the tip that strikes the arc is intact, after you cut a rod in half you need to break away the flux so there is bear metal on the oposit end to fit into youre stinger for current to conduct, i passed a welding pipe test where the pipe was 3 inch off the ground, i cut my 7018 1/8 rod so i had 1 inch of flux from the strike tip 1 inch of bare metal at the end ,only last about 2 sec tho
hello, i want to learn from you. want to ask how come many welders worked at one time in the same area, how many ground cable did you use? please explain because i dont really know.. thank you in advance.
too many processes and too little time. i'm practicing tig welding at the moment with a powertig welder but want to learn how to mig and stick weld too. i think i've been bit real bad with the welding bug. thanks for the video man great to watch.
@@xAZAZELx13 Got a taste when I was up north in school. They tried to bully the instructor to play along with their politics. They, not the students! Finally the instructor left because he just wasn't one of them.
i liked the vid i need some info if you can tell me i have been welding in chemical plants for over 10 years and want to get in the oil field as a rig welder but i cant find any input on how to find them can you point me in the right direction thanks
I ordered a PowerMTS welder last week and hope to receive it in a couple of weeks. I'm thinking about becoming a welder professionally. How much traveling are doing to job sites and how away are you going?
Some tight quarters your into there. Grabed some 2"sched. 40 off a buddy due to watching you guys. Whereabouts are you guys at doin this? I'm in Ontario and would live to be invoked in this line of work. Pidge.
How much do you get paid for hour? I'm still in high school and I'm taking a welding course ;) and I would like to become a professional welder and do things like this.!
I think he meant that in spite of the fact that you spent a lot on the construction itself you did not use a crane but rather a mechanical digger as a crane, and that this use can endanger your workforce.
dustin i have no problem understanding wat mean take look at tat vid and how many normal guys would have propane storage tat close to where welding and grinding never mind wats in those other 2 verterial tanks and where hard hat combs boys if i were satety ud be shut down asap
does he have hoisting ticket probly got it same place where i got my spelling teacher ticket lmao one day youll have a provincal inspector show u so dont kill any one and keep ur bull to ur self dont corupt the wannabees
I just love that crack sound of the electrode Melting with the metal

Very Nice job🔥🔥🔥
From youre perspective it's seams so easy😊
Question. If you have more than one person welding the same work, do they share the same ground source?
No, one earth per machine.
Does a work piece need multiple grounds when multiple welders are working on it like that?

This is the kind of career i want
great job bro you getting all that money
Wouldn't the other welding machines effect the arc quality on your machine that is grounded to the same steel frame?

Whats this then? Loads of men sleeping on the job? Happy new year to you.

5:35 Thats a DAMN nice weld right there
what's the frame for?
I have a rust shed (small house). I wonder how difficult it would be remove and replace a couple of beam.
I ordered a PowerMTS welder last week and hope to receive it in a couple of weeks. I'm thinking about becoming a welder professionally. How much traveling are doing to job sites and how away are you going?
So much welder nice welder
Some tight quarters your into there. Grabed some 2"sched. 40 off a buddy due to watching you guys. Whereabouts are you guys at doin this? I'm in Ontario and would live to be invoked in this line of work.

Ok and at what school did you take classes ans how many year did you get you certificade

How much do you get paid for hour? I'm still in high school and I'm taking a welding course ;) and I would like to become a professional welder and do things like this.!

good welding
what rod where you running do you remember?
I think he meant that in spite of the fact that you spent a lot on the construction itself you did not use a crane but rather a mechanical digger as a crane, and that this use can endanger your workforce.
I am sure that machine has a capacity chart in the cab from the manufacturer saying how much it can lift at what radius.
what is that
are you guys just pretty much draggin the rod in the middle of this video when welding the beam to the plate?
7018 or 8018?
looks it would have been a pain in the ass to chip off the slag afterwards but COOL! (halfway through my course just recieved my CWB stick ticket)
Burnin bacon
My bad lol I see that your a pipeliner lol, I saw from what it looks to me like piles in the background so I thought you where a piledriver lol
