- Istanbul has a great public transport system, a big part of which are the ferries on the Bosphorus. There are numerous ports such as Eminonu, Karaköy, Besiktas, Uskudar, Kadiköy etc. They are easily accessible and organised very well. The locals depend on them to get back and forth across and along the Bosphorus. The crossings are very quick, frequent and run punctually according to the timetable. Payments are made using the Istanbulkart system and journeys cost about TL. 10 - 15 for a hop from Europe to Asia. Istanbul must be the only city where you can commute to another continent everyday! From the same ports you can also catch ferries for Bosphorus Cruises, Prince's Islands and even the Black Sea.
On this journey, we took the ferry from Eminonu on the Golden Horn, right next to Galata Bridge on the European side, to Kadiköy on the Asian side. The views in summer are stunning and the open deck very refreshing. If you are staying in Sultanahmet or Fatih, then Eminonu is the nearest port. Its only 3 stops on the tram from Sultanahmet. You could even walk! From the Taksim area, the Kabatas or Karaköy ports are closer. You can check out the map in the video. All in all, its a must do when in Istanbul.

The Princes Islands are worth the trip to. From same place I think.
Hi is there any metro from sultanahmet to eminonu please tell me and where is dolmabache palace
And balat also can we go by metro
Hi, thanks for your comment. There is a tram from Sultanahmet to Eminonu but not metro or underground. The same tram will take you to Dolmabahce Palace. You get off at the last stop.and walk 5 minutes. To get to Balat, it is only bus or taxi. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. 👍
@@StepThisWay how can wecknow bus num any app for buses 🚌
I'm afraid I can't remember the bus number. But they stop just in front of the Yeni Mosque and the Spice Market or called Egyptian Market. You can use iett.istanbul website or tooistanbul.com. And Dolmabahce Palace is a couple of miles north of Galata.
Nearest tram stop for Dolmabahce is Kabatas
How often do they ride?
Hi thanks for your comment. The ferries run about every 15 to 20 min. And takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get to the other side. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 👍
