Might be the best drill I have ever seen. Teaches angles and you MUST be solid on your fundamentals to get through this one. This is the first time I have seen this drill - going to incorporate it immediately.

I practice this shot a lot. I don't know why it messes with me so much. But, I like this take on it, forcing cue ball control! Thanks Neil's! Another great lesson.

Yeahhhh!!!! The feeling of cue power is the max right?? Enjoy pal! Thanks 👊👊

I keep ending up exactly where I want the cueball, but only one rail instead of two. My brain doesn't seem to want me going two rails. It'll be nice to be able to see both angles when I get it down, though.

The way you make that cue ball land on the third diamond. Every. Single. Time.
Separates you from the 95% of the pool playing world. Truly next level.

Great drill thanks much Niels! This is one of my most confident shots, so it's one I tend not to drill often. Thanks for reminding me you need to keep working on the good parts of your game in addition to working on the weaknesses. I feel this will be good for me when getting ready for a tournament or playoff when I need to reinforce that fine tuning. Also will point out immediately how the rails and felt are running in an unfamiliar place.

Awesome exercise Niels! I'm going to add this to my practice regime for sure. Top spin shots like this are the ones that I tend to miss the most so I can see this being a huge boost to my game. I fully understand the old video game reference haha :) There's no cheat codes for pool to get an advantage either lol. Thank you as always for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us pool addicts.

      Hahahaha yes I do!!!!!
Just kidding, BUT I do offer Personal Player Reviews where you record yourself playing or practicing (play the Ghost a race to 9 or something like that), upload it to youtube and send it to me in a private link.
Camera angle in front of the table works best, but any angle from past matches or sessions is also fine 🙂
You get a full screen recording with analysis and tips!!🔥
This way I show you with the mouse which routes and options were better. So you're seeing AND hearing, which really speeds up your learning curve a ton!
Prices are 1,50euro per minute, minimum 30min
Let me know if you are interested.

The hardest part for me is pocketing the fucking ball when I’m applying spin to place the white. The meat of the matter is about hitting your spot without getting too distracted by the english.

  • @user-wf7fy5xp1q

I have a problem with a game. I can’t hit the ball hard, but if I hit the ball, it’s not strong, I can hit it and put it in the puck. But if I hit it hard, I can’t take it down to the puck. Can you help me with your experience or teach me two things that make me hit the ball hard and drop it? Thank you teacher

    • @chuckp3335

May I suggest you to do a "Personal Player Review"? That way I can have a closer look at your issue...
      It works like this:
You can upload a match / sparring session or a session vs the ghost on TH-cam with a private link for example.
