Hi u did good! I just want to add u can change your hoop size within Essentials to fit the hoop u are using for your sew out and also show on the screen your real stitch area before stitching. I would probably do that upon opening the software. Also i like to add that when u select to remove overlap it will show the missing area after u have save the file. Close the file and then reopen to see your change or run the stitch simulator to see the change

How do you select hoop size? I noticed that the yellow square is behind your design. However, when I go to embroidery it, it says that my design is bigger than the hoop
I think I understand what you mean when you skip those stitches. however, do you mind doing a quick video on how you do it. I have Embrilliance, but I still don't understand how to get rid of that bulk.
you have those 2 windows open on the side of your screen and mine doesn't have that where you can change the layers how do I get that on mine screen its the objects and properties thanks Teresa

Brother machines will read both PES and DST embroidery file formats. The biggest difference we, as users, will notice is PES includes the color information that the digitizer included. DST only provides the stitch commands, but no color information.

U can merge but not save.
I assume u were using the bought version of Embriance Essentials. U are very limited with the Express version.

Do u know why when I try to use my etsy designs it says the design page contains elements that are not licensed for saving. They may be demo designs
Embrillance removes those over lap stitches for you.

I use the PES format for my brother PE800.

Idk about DST but brother pe800 does accept PES
