When a SaaS website doesn't have a pricing page, but only a "request a demo" call to action, I immediately close it. Waste of time.

Haha, notice the hint of "dark suspense" I added just around that scene 😅

Dear Simon, I just found out your channel randomly. As a UI/UX Designer and Webflow expert I have almost nothing to do with SaaS products and development but I love the way how you do your videos. They are modern, easy to watch and even very interesting. If you were my professor at the university I would could a rocket scientist. :)

Love this video, Simon! Fantastic breakdown of the common pricing models with fresh examples 🔥
To add to the list covered in this video, here are some of my favorites:

    • Usage-Based Pricing ➡ Proof
    • User-Based Pricing ➡ Pitch

I have watched all of your videos atleast 2 times and I wish if you had like 100 more videos so I can keep learning more and more. But ya, I know creating this content is super tough and takes lots of effort and time. Thanks alot for this and just keep going bro! 😊💛

Indeed, it's time consuming to make these, and right now, a video every 2 weeks is what I can manage.
I might amp it up in the future if things changes 😁

I also check out the pricing page first 😂 also like how you explained price anchoring here.
Someone told me about the Rolex pricing: "How do you make a $10,000 Rolex look affordable? ...you place it next to a $100,000 Rolex."
    Helpful video as always!

    • @SimonHoiberg
      @SimonHoiberg  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Yep, that's pretty much price anchoring in it's essence 😁
But I think a lot of people don't realize that this is actually often what the most expensive tier is there for.

8:16 Stripe is really a great source of inspiration in terms of product/interface design. I'm also guilty of applying some of their UI blocks to my product 😅. Anyways, I'm glad there's more and more SaaS related youtube channels, including yours Simon. Keep up the good work!

And yes - I get asked that 5-10 times in each video I post 😅 But I take that as a massive compliment. Afterall, I'm just an amateur with very limited experience in videography and editing.
But I'm using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. So, Premiere Pro for editing, After Effects to add some of the animations and Photoshop for the thumbnails 😊

I don't know if it's just me but I am fully unburdened by the urge not to choose the cheapest option. Why would I pay more for features or quotas I don't need? It's not like my customers would know what API or tool pricing I chose so who cares?
