This was one of the last videos I watched on this issue. I wasn't sure if mine was the resistor or the motor. I literally did exactly what you said... removed the plastic under the dash, banged on it, and it started working again. Thank you Andy! May God bless you and your family.
Super glad this worked for you. Don't forget that banging on it only lasts a little while. Eventually you'll have to replace it but it's easy and inexpensive
There is another video from another mechanic with a Russian accent who removes the glove box first. Also, my blower motor would wane in its speed. I could have it on high and it would not blow but later down the road it would start to blow either fast medium or slow. I replace the blower motor resistor but still same results but it was a little bit more manageable as it would work more often than not. I ordered a new blower motor and it just came in by FedEx and tomorrow morning I'm going to attempt this feat. I have two more payments on this POS Dart so I'm trying to get it fixed up for my soon-to-be 15-year-old son so he can learn how to drive, learn maintenance, and responsibility of upkeep, insurance, yada yada. Ya. They really do hope you. If you think it's something easy to fix TH-cam it. I learned how to fix cars on youtube. I can do almost anything except take a motor apart and put back together. Everything else though? Pshhhhh cake walk lol
Hi Scout Andy thanks for the video. Question how do you know if it’s the blow motor or the resistor? My blower didn’t come on but if I would hit the passenger side panel it would then work so I’m not sure if it’s the motor or resistor? Any ideas? Thanks and good job on the fix.
Hey didnt realize I had notifications turned off. When you tap the motor and it comes on, it's usually the motor. When the blower only comes on in certain positions, like low or high but not medium...it seems to be more likely the resistor. Luckily they aren't real expensive. Lots of luck! Andy
I have a dodge dart 2014 SXT and my HVAC stopped working. I had the resistor replaced but it stopped again the next day. I took the part back and had the mechanic put the old one back in. Looks like it turns on sometimes and then goes out at times. Could it be the blower motor itself??
I have a question on my dodge dart se my cold and hot temp work and the low to high works, but the front vents don’t blow out air just the top defrost vents and bottom floor vents. What do you think would be the problem?

it could be try replacing the blower motor if that does not work you might want to get a professional oppion

How did ya take out the felt?
You should be able to just pull it out, you might have to use a flat head to pry the pin from the plastic clip. But it’s pretty easy
