How do you adjust the tiles once they are placed on the adhesive? At least with thin set the tiles float and you and maneuver them and place spacers to make sure they arent all over the map. What is your process for those situations?
I always cut my sheet tile in the package to. Keeps the tiles from flopping around as well as keeps the mesh and tile from falling apart from the water.

I need a how to remove tile… everything i find is like glass or porcelain but my kitchen came with wood (different sizes, lengths and depth) but they are sheets and Im trying to do it will as little wall damage as possible……got any suggestions? I dont know how to separate the individual pieces…..
Did you put a metal strip at the edges? We are having the backsplash done and they put a metal edge which I absolutely hate. It looks cheap and I wish there was something else to put on there. Some are not even cut right. They are coming back tomorrow to grout everything.
Hi Esther, I usually go all the way to a wall or cabinet but you can put a boarder piece in instead of the metal, its about your preference. you can find nice boarder trim pieces in the tile isle at Lowes! thanks for your support!

Hey Susie thanks for your comment and your support we’ve been using this for years and we’ve never had an issue the key is to prep the drywall with some sort of primer and make sure everything is extremely clean!

ALL the things I wanted to see about cutting for outlets and fitting the tile was done off camera and presented as a fait accompli. Not helpful at all.

I wouldn't call myself a professional, more of a Master Dr. of professional everything. You clearly have experience at the cheap stores, but I would not recommend the dollar tree. Grease up that elbow and go to Lowes, you can do it! Ps. These videos offend the people living inside a box so please be advised of this. Watch at your own risk, you may learn something and get a headache.
I would use that stuff on a rental, maybe...not for a kitchen remodel though. Considering the cost of that type of glass tile, you might as well do it right and mortar the tiles on. They will last for 50+ years if you do it the right way.
David the times were we’ve had to remove the tile using this double-sided tile tape on the wall,,, it rips the drywall off the wall I’ve never had a problem with the tile coming off, I’m glad your motor works for you but it’s easier to remove mortared on tile because this tape works better,,, prep your walls properly. @@constructionhacks9293 it’s all good until the adhesive breaks down. I don’t doubt it can work if the wall is prepped right. I’ve done countless kitchen remodels and used all sorts of 3M adhesive products. Climate matters, whether or not it’s on an exterior wall matters, etc etc. Mortar is tried true and tested and lasts 50+ years if mixed and applied correctly. Read manufacturer warranties for products- most porcelain, glass, ceramic etc tiles call for mortar or thin-set adhesive. If you were using individual tiles I would be less reluctant because of the surface area on contact with adhesive. The fibrous mat that holds these tiles together is all that is holding the tile between the wall and adhesive, and as you know if you’ve worked with a lot of this tile, they can easily come loose from that mat. Its certainly a hack to save time, but there are very few legitimate shortcuts in construction that actually have the same longevity as doing the job by manufacturers installation guidelines.
@@constructionhacks9293 I’m not hating, it’s a clever idea. I’ve done stuff like this in a pinch but always been up front about the trade-offs and drawbacks with the homeowner, I think that’s the best way to go about it.

The adhesive thing seems like something that would be done by someone who just wants to get the job done quick and not focus on the quality too much.

The one reoccurring thing that keeps being said on many you tubers is “simple mat from Lowe’s” hold a certain weight threshold for these double sided tape begin to lose its adhesiveness very quick. That’s half Assing a tile job that can cost a few thousand to fix. A tile that consist of natural stone and glass will fall off and if that is in a place where there is a lot of heat and humidity, lmao... ya.. Not something you want to skimp on if you want to do something right... Work smarter > cutting corners

Well. If you want to do the easiest way would be cutting all pieces of tile first and just use super Duty liquid nails if you don't want to deal with mortar you need something really strong.
Seems no one shows how to finish edges that are not even⁉️ I just had same brick used as yours, but the edges are not even against cabinets or even under the Hood above the stove/range⁉️ What can be done please reply as it cost me a total of $400+ and I had the guys who said they could do this. They painted my entire condo…but this ended up obviously wrong SAD 😢 I was charged $250.00 to do the job. It wasn’t a lot to do-area wise.

You can try a skill saw set to the depth of the wood and make some cuts first before trying to remove it

No contractor would ever use double stick tape to adhere tile to a wall. It might be the lazy man's way. Use mastic and grout.

The grout brings all the tile together as well and forms it together into solid hard surface. But that's with all tile, not just this product!

You gently put it up and don’t push just in case you need to pull it off, there is a trick to it.

Professionals don't use sticky tape they use real s*** like adhesive for tile and grout. This is how you do it when you shop at the dollar tree.

@Construction Hacks peel and stick is garbage and the stuff your using, you didnt even pull out the receptacles do go with the tile under the ears from the receptacles, i do tile and been doing it for over 15 years this stuff is garbage that your using
