A soaring number of asylum seekers have been arriving in Austria in recent months with more than 96,000 asylum requests since the beginning of the year. With 56,000 Ukrainian refugees also adding to arrival numbers, the country's capacity for processing refugees is being stretched to the limit.

Just compare the numbers per capita. UK numbers are a joke and Ukrainians are not even counted in Austria as asylum seekers. Per capita UK would have to take in about one million asylum seekers to match Austrian numbers for 2022.
