Rules note: Antediluvian Hymn is a nonbo with Gloria Because Hymn "reveals" the cards, you are not "looking at" them. Which means you can't use Gloria's ability when you use Antediluvian Hymn
Played Gloria once in a 3 player campaign. She trivialized the game so much it almost not worth playing. We have never and likely will never played her again.
This is a sad day. No more investigator discussions. On a completely unrelated note, Lola is going to get a massive buff in drowned city: when playing as Lola you get to not play as Lola. Massive improvement.
@@RatherIncoherent Yes, though I think in most cases it's not going to be optimal to put in your deck. Jacqueline fine being a notable exception (and lola of course, but it feels weird to play a character with the goal of not playing that character.) Jank wise I really like the card, and together with the memory one, is a reason to go back to a mystic, who I have written of as a boring class.
Parallel Fates (2) is also a great card for Gloria. In the early game you can use it to search for Alyssa and avoid weaknesses and in the later game you can use it to rearrange the top 7 (!) cards of the encounter deck
One consideration I'd like to submit for Gloria's tier placement: As new art gets released for her, she appears to be getting older and older as if rapidly aging. IMO I would place her C at best, as the chances of her making it through a full-length campaign before aging into to dust feels somewhat slim.
Played Gloria three times. All times were intentionally less optimal than normal. She’s still insane! The new Eye of Ghatanothoa(?) card will be nice for her to see Prophecy of the Ends.
It took us one campaign to ban Gloria from our party. She is not a thing if you want to play a real Arkham Horror game and not some trivial card draw simulator.
I would note that on 4p, Gloria is probably stronger with guardian over seeker so you can take first watch, and fool me once. You need scrying for 4p and probably upgrade into Twila or recharge or something to keep it going. You also are much likelier to use your basement because the deck will probably reshuffle. Very broken but also a nice fix for scenarios with reshuffling ancient evils - dark side of the moon, untamed wilds, etc. it’s actually fun to try TFA with her and have a shot at the ancient locations, plus avoid horrid cards like creeping poison. She is otherwise too strong, trivializes the game, but it’s a fun power fantasy once in a while.
Note that Antediluvian Hymn also doesn't work with Gloria's ability since it's not a "look". With her new signatures that at least means it doesn't trigger Prophecy of the End.
Your last comment on disrupting the game really hit home. I value the tempo of Arkham so adding an extra group analysis phase to the game isn't appealing, same with reducing everything interesting about the scenarios.

Great series. You should do it again next week. All of the investigators again. I'm sure it's worth the trouble
On an unrelated note, I died to my own Shrivelling twice as Gloria during a True Solo run of Return to the Circle Undone.

Transfigure is going to be a wild ride. Really going to make investigator analysis wildly more complicated.

@@martintomov7576 Agreed lol. It took my table nearly 3 years to replay her.

@@moooseman3 Oh wow, I didn't realize that. Still, 5 cards is a pretty big scry and with the new signature interaction it might even be a buff.
