Matt and Mark Jenny talk about the beginnings of MJT. From 1997 when Mark started a new hobby, to 2007 when he partnered with Matt to form a company, to present day where it's still about the quality and the players.
I've built two guitars with MJT bodies over the last year and love them both. My MJT blackguard tele is my clear number one. It had a light relic in the beginning and I'm now starting to add my own touches as it is played daily. I also have a gorgeous copper MJT Strat that is by far the best S-style guitar I've ever owned. I also spent a good chunk of my childhood in Carthage, and am very proud that such a great company is based there.
It’s funny how I have talked with Matt since many years for my projects, yet this video is the first I see you guys and hear your voice. It makes me very happy to see MJT is growing, I love my main strat that’s fully MJT, and will be getting another one hopefully next year 🤝
I've played hundreds of guitars, worked on hundreds of guitars, and have probably owned nearly 100 guitars. I'm now a bass player full stop, and the only guitar I kept at the end of the day is my MJT. Stupidly good quality and workmanship for the money. Plays better than any custom shop strat I've had in my hands. And fantastic customer service to boot. I can't wait to order a bass.
I own 2 Guitars (Strat & Thin Line Tele) and a P-Bass by MJT with additional top notch components from USA (Necks by Musikraft), Canada (Bad-Ass Bass Bridge), aged Hardware, Austria (pre wired electronics) , Germany (Kloppmann PUs) - the sound and feel of this instruments are just like master build / custom shop level guitars... Matt & Mark are very nice guys who made anything possible I had asked for... next projects: Jazz Bass 2024 and Jazzmaster & Les Paul 2025...
I have 7 guitars that have something to do with MJT. I learned about them when I bought a blackguard replica that was so incredible I had to have it. Then I had a complete p bass made. Then I got an MIM strat that I loved everything but the bad relic job the previous owner had done refin’d by them. From there I started buying bodies and necks and doing the rest of the work myself. Obviously I don’t use 7 different guitars every day, but they all get used frequently.
These guys are awesome. I have purchased 7 bodies from them and one custom neck and they have the best customer service, always friendly and the most incredible quality & talent in aging guitars. They did a custom Jazzmaster for me and matched my reference photos that I sent them perfectly. Thank you to the entire team for putting in such hard work to make our dream instruments.
I also have a couple MJT strats along with my many Fenders, and play them ALL the time. After the countless emails back and forth with you guys, it’s so nice to actually see and hear you talk about your passion. Thank you guys, I’ll be buying many more in the years to come!
You guys are THE BEST! Great products and always a pleasure to work with. Keep CRUSHING the game!

Own 6 MJTs and love them all. Best bodies and necks out there. Also had MJT build me a complete guitar.
Own two MJTs and they kick ass.
MJT customer service is impressive, Zaid
