Diddy Kong Racing DS "Any%" speedrun in

This is the first time the game has had video proof for a full game record, so that's pretty neat. I only beat the record by 14 seconds but it can go so much lower.
This run loses 35 seconds to Boulder Canyon key and 45-50 seconds to sand puzzle RNG(?). Ideally, the sand puzzle will give me 150 coins, and combined with the 25 I leave Jungle Falls with, I'd be able to buy the Car Air B bodywork with the race bodywork upgrades saving a second trip to the tent and plenty of time throughout the rest of the Dino Domain driving (including the Wish Race!).
Another funny thing is that my IGT 2:30:30 is an exact tie with my Diddy Kong Racing N64 100% PB that I got 7 years ago. I've always enjoyed these games when I played them, and it's neat to have a connection like that. It made me irrationally happy to notice that coincidence.

Hey, for no particular reason, may I ask why you were hopping like crazy during Bluey the Walrus 1?

Hopping in the hovercraft preserves speed after using a zipper or a blue balloon. It also BUILDS speed when going downhill. Even if the track was mostly flat, it would still be nice to hop because it gives you far tighter control over your driving angle.

Bro how did u do the balloon drawing one it literally wont work for me no matter what i do its pissing me off so bad 😭😭

If you mean the one on the beach, it's the shape of the balloon itself without the string. Draw an oval starting at the bottom center, then a straight line up/left or up/right, and then curve around the top and make it parallel with the first side. It's really finnicky and annoying especially if your touch screen isn't calibrated perfectly so don't feel bad for not getting it right away.
