- Luis Díaz and Mohamed Salah were on target as Brentford lost 2-0 to Arne Slot's Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
Díaz rounded off a quick counter attack to give the hosts an early lead, before Salah netted midway through the second half. Christian Nørgaard and Nathan Collins went closest for the Bees who fought hard on Merseyside but to no avail.

Big ups to Brentford, they played well, made it tough for us for some part of the game.
Yeah. I do feel that we should’ve played better though. Mbuemo was surely off his game and Wissa is a better player than that. I wasn’t expecting a point by any means but we could’ve at least had one on the scoresheet.

Slot has done more in 2 games than ETH has done in 2 years in terms of setting a team up correctly and playing good football. And that’s without spending a penny compared to Mr half a billion over in OT
In order to be fair, Liverpool was not in such a deep crisis as Man Utd has been practically since Ferguson retired. Last year they ended on 3rd place, they were fighting for a quadruple, only they screwed up the last couple of matches.

I don’t think we necessarily do. At the end of the 22-23 season and very beginning of the 23-24 season without injuries we actually did quite well without him. It’s just that the massive 23-24 injury list slipped under the radar for many non-Brentford fans. Even right now we are still missing 4 class players in rico Henry, Aaron Hickey, Josh DaSilva, and Igor Thiago
