Happy Sunday! We couldn't believe how real this tile wall looks and for under $20 you can't beat it! All you need is paint, tape and a sharpie to make a feature wall come to life and look like REAL tile! We wish we would have known about this years ago!
What a great hack! Looks beautiful and will try somewhere in my house. On a side note, have you thought of putting a small piece of molding to the front of the shelves? It would give it a more finished look as well as cover the wood that is holding them up when you look at it from the front😊

I saw this video and repainted my whole kitchen and did this behind my washer and dryer. My hubby and kids and myself love it so much. We even used the same tile it was just sitting in the middle of random tile and I told my hubby it was meant to be.

Finished project like tile and easy to undo or switch up if desired, your instructions and Chase’s demonstration of the project are perfect. Another plus is not having to clean the grout.

Love it! Just an fyi tho... one of the houses we moved into someone had done something like this in the bathroom but it was squares. All 4 walls were squares - 2x2 black and white squares-and it was too busy for me so I painted over it with a latex paint and as it was drying my paint started to crackle. What a mess! I had to SCRAPE the crackling mess off and ended up having to do loads of work to "fix" the previous owners oil based squares underneath before I could paint over the squares. Latex and oil based paint do not mix well so just know if you ever decide to change up your wall you will have to do some prep work to your existing wall before painting over with latex paint. But I love the effect this had. P.S. I also had to do the same prep work to the life sized Mickey mouse she had painted in the laundry room walls and the coke bottle borders she had painted as a border in the kitchen and dining room. The previous owner was obviously artistic-good for her- BAD for me! Seriously! Who paints coke bottles and mickey in their homes! Lol!

Chase is brave, not having paper under the paint can. I would have had splatters all around the can. Liked the furry black slippers. I thought the black wall against the white cabinet was stunning. The finished wall is elegantly classy. Way to go!
We think alike! I just had contractors tile my laundry room, after I installed black Beadboard on the wall and trimmed my shelves. Consider trimming your cabinets...theybwill level up! Love this Ash!
