Go when you can. And talk to him, sharing your grief at his absence. He’s not lost, just not present. You have his essence in memory. Let his memory help you,as you would help him.
My sweet husband passed in February of 2023. I still have not been to his grave. I can’t bring myself to see his headstone. He passed at home from a massive heart attack at just 43yrs old. I miss him every second of every day. He’s my soulmate, my love, my heart & my world. I will always be his wife. Until we meet again, my love ❤. Merry Christmas to you all.
I can't imagine being without my husband but especially during the holidays. I lost my 97 yr old dad Oct 2023 & I haven't been back to his grave. Sending you my heartfelt love & prayers.
I lost my hubby of 48 yrs in March. I've been to his grave a lot...and have put an arrangement & lights around our marker. He's buried in a beautiful, peaceful Cemetery and he's just below my parents. I miss him terribly every day. But I find peace when I visit him. We would've celebrated our 49th anniversary on the 12th. I went that day to spend it with him. This year has been a lot of firsts without him and it's been very hard. Like you, I will be married to him the rest of my life. He was 66 when he passed, would've been 67 if he'd lived til June. I'm 66, and we only had one son who is 43,married & are living with me now. I'm disabled, have to use a walker, but I try very hard to do as much as I can for myself. I'm alone all day so I have to. But, God is a good God & He has gotten me thru alot. I can't thank Him enough for all the blessings He has given me! I pray your heart will heal and you'll eventually find the peace & comfort you need. God bless you. ❤️🩹
@@mamawfrancy thank you so much. It’s very hard around the holidays, birthdays etc…I’m very sorry to hear about your dad. God bless him, though, over 90yrs on this planet is absolutely amazing. Have a merry Christmas. 🎄
I cant wait to see Jesus & all my kin that are in Heaven, what a glorious day that will be, I know all of you miss your kin too. God bless all of you & have a Merry Christmas making cherished memories!
Thank you so much for letting us pay our respects to Miss Cindy through your visit to remember her. The long shot of Matt standing and looking at her headstone broke me and the tears fell. She loved her family so. I hope my children remember me with honor and love someday as they are priceless loves to me. Precious memories indeed.❤
I agree, it hit me in the gut as well. Bless his heart. (((Hugs))) to Matt, and rest in peace Miss Cindy, you are still loved and will not be forgotten.
I agree with Matt that it’s a chore to have to leave the house and go to town. I too dislike the crowds Tipper. The flowers for Ms Cindy are lovely. I enjoy “going to town with y’all”. 😊
I almost lost it seeing Matt standing by his mother's grave. We lost a brother this year on January 2nd. Still going through the "firsts". Yesterday woukd have been his 69th birthday. God bless ya'll! Payers for Grannie!❤❤
My Grandma always had pillow mints and ribbon candy at Christmas. Thanks for taking us along. Such a beautiful poinsettia topper for Miss Cindy. We all look forward to the resurrection, where "there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." (Rev. 21:4). God bless.
Hi Tipper and Matt, Thank You for taking us along while you ran errands. It was really touching getting the Beautiful Poinsettia for Miss Cindy and Matt carefully putting in on her headstone. I started to cry. I felt so Honored and Humble to be a part of a very Special Moment.😊❤🙏🏻🙏🏻
Aint gonna lie, Im a 44 year old tough guy and at the end where Matt was standing at his momma grave just flat shattered me. My mom is still with us but daddy passed back in 2000. It never gets any easier.
I miss my daddy . He is in huntsville and im in Houston. Ive drove by once . Couldnt stop. My heart stayed with him the day he passed away . Its not time to pick it up yet . Its still hurts too much to go back .
My daughter passed April 30, 2023. She was 44. I miss her every day but especially during the holidays Hug those you love because you never know when you won’t be able to.
Bless your heart, so sorry for your great loss, every day I’m sure is heavy on your heart, but holidays are the worst for you I’m sure. Hope your memories hold you close🙏🕊️
My momma doesn't have a marker to visit. When she passed, we were all too poor to afford anything other than the cremation, which she requested. I like to think of her as residing everywhere, so I can feel her everywhere. Thank you again, Tipper, for another wonderful look into your life. Much love to you and yours from Texas!
This the first Christmas without my father. I miss him, my stepmother and mother so much! That’s a beautiful arrangement of poinsettias. Continued prayers for Granny and everyone else! Merry Christmas ! 🙏❤️🇨🇦🎄
Beautiful ride .. I felt like I was riding along. Thanks for letting us come along to the cemetery and sharing a beautiful, private moment. My parents, brother and two sisters have all passed in the last 7 years. Not sure why, but this holiday season has hit me harder than the others.
🎄 It's always very special, your sharing your memories of Miss Cindy. What a beautiful lady, inside and out. AND, I have a feeling she's looking out for those grand-boys of yours. All the best, good folks.
Thank you, Tipper and Matt for this video. My Momma who passed in March 2007 always tried to make everyone feel special at Christmas . That’s why I get down sometimes around this time of year. God bless you and your family and keep safe.❤
Topper, Matt, Katie and Ira. Thanks for taking us along on your trip to Matt’s family. The drive was beautiful. Going through the Nantahala is always a treat for me. I love to see the rafters in the summer. I have a praise to tell you about. I had asked for prayer for my husband who was having coronary bypass surgery. I am so happy to say that after having SIX arteries bypassed he is doing great. We had been told he only had three blockages but the dr. said he found more and replaced them all. Praise God! Dr. Says he is much farther along in recovery than most of his patients. Of course when he said that Inhad to start singing “Farther along we’ll know all about it”.😀 For a 77 year old man he is doing great! Thank you all for the prayers. I
Cemeteries certainly have a sadness but a sense of peace and beauty too. When I take flowers to my parents and grandparents graves I catch myself walking around looking at other graves remembering the people , neighbors, church members from when I was a child and think about how they impacted my life. Sorta a scene out of Wilder's play "Our Town". As an only child and no family of my own I doubt there will be many flowers put on my grave when the time comes. Not being morbid, just realistic.
After spending time Saturday laying wreaths on veterans' graves, that night was the full Cold Moon. It all brought a feeling of contentment. under a bright moon old foes and friends lie down together That today was a beautiful gesture. As we get older, we look often through the eye of memory.
The drive to the cemetery is absolutely beautiful. I can imagine how breathtaking it is in the spring and summer. A beautiful place for your dad and Matt’s mom to rest in peace!
Tipper, that’s how we , as kids, knew it was Christmas. Daddy brought home a big box of oranges and apples with candy on top… several large peppermint sticks, bag of circus peanuts, and at bag of orange slices, and mama a box of chocolate covered cherries. We’d get so excited. He’d always beat the big peppermint sticks with a hammer and break it up and put it in a fruit jar.😂 Those were the days! Merry Christmas! ❤🙏
Love seeing your adventures. Gotta have a turkey 🦃 for Christmas 🎄. It does seem that way sometimes Matt. But it could be worse. We are still blesssd ❤. My goodness. Know that scared granny. I love Christmas candy Matt is proud of you I’m sure 😊. Gotta have orange slice Yeah I agree Matt about orange slice Sometimes crowds just not good ( actually most of the time 😂. Beautiful scenery you have Yep I was right I do the same with my parents here in Thomasville NC. ❤❤❤❤. They are always here with us till the end Beautiful cemetery. Could not be better. Love y’all granny and little bits ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The orange slices reminds me of when I was a child when we'd go to Sears and on the way out we'd stop at the candy counter. My mom would get a bag of Spanish peanuts and I'd get a bag of orange slices. I don't care for circus peanuts either. Such a beautiful bouquet of poinsettias. Merry Christmas to and your beautiful family.
Matt needs a nice new F250 crew cab 4x4 for Christmas so he can take the grandsons out and about. There's gonna be a lot of need for grand dad to have a new big truck these next few years. 😘
Oh Tipper, my mom loved the circus peanuts and candy corn. My husband loved the orange slices and mint leaves. On the other hand I didn't like any of them but could tolerate the orange slices. My favorite was black licorice, and peppermint sticks. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
This past week my honorary sister found out that this will probably be the last Christmas with her husband. He has type 4 glioblastoma with necrosis. It is an inoperable brain tumor and they have opted not to do chemo or radiation. Knowing that he won't be here next year is so hard but they are grateful for the time they will have with him now. Please pray for this family.
Always love the beautiful scenery! I sure do miss my family that has passed! As a believer in Christ, I know that I Will see them in Heaven! I love your precious family! Praying that y’all have a Merry Christmas! God bless y’all! 😀♥️🙏
My what a beautiful bouquet for Ms. Cindy. Thank you for sharing your special errand. I took my bouquet to Mama and Daddy a few weeks ago when we had a good weather day. Since my aunt passed this year, I took a poinsettia for my Paw Paw too. I sure miss them all, but one day we will all be together again...
How is Granny doing today. Katie and Corie shared the news about Granny. I love her so much. I pray for her every day. I am still praying for the hurricane victims.
The poinsettias for Ms Cindy were so beautiful-just like her…it’s hard to believe it’s been a year and a half. Time is sure getting away from me the older I get. I pray y’all have a great weekend and very blessed Merry Christmas!
Mama says my Papaw's favorite candy was those orange slices. He passed when she was a teen, so I usually get her some orange slices for Christmas to remember him.
I understand this well. I visit the family cemetery several times each year, bringing fresh flowers & tidying up the gravesites, wire-brushing off lichens & pulling weeds. Twice a year I put up wreaths, a somber respectful ritual, done with gratitude.🎉
Thank you Tipper & Matt for the front seat trip of those glorious mountain roads, I’m the one that has said to you several times that I love the mountains and it’s always a treat when you all take us along.🤗 The cemetery where your dad and Matt’s mom is, it’s really beautiful and like most cemeteries it looks very peaceful. Though one’s heart can sorely hurt from the missing of our loved one, we pray we will see them again in heaven. Hoping you and all your family have a blessed, content, joyous Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year, and praying for granny and God’s comfort, healing and peace for her. 🙏🏻
Miss Cindy was (from what you've shown and shared with us) beautiful and understated. My response to her photos was she was as beautiful as any 'Miss America'. It is wonderful how you remember her and that Christmas adornment is breath-taking. Pap's looks beautiful too and of course I always think (and say, because I like to comment) he is first HUGE reason (along with granny) y'all are so good (and will be for generations to come, I would wager). Merry Christmas to y'all and thank you for all the edifying and good work you do. 💞 🙏🏼🙌🏼
That was a beautiful poinsettia arrangement for Miss Cindy! My sister & I have always kept up our parent's grave and now hubby's. I went by the Cemetery yesterday to make sure their arrangements were still ok, but then we had a lot of wind & rain last night, so I'll just drive thru tomorrow to check on hubby's. Our parents have a tall gravestone so it shields whatever we put at it. I put Christmas solar lights in front of our grandparents marker so they would have a little Christmas cheer, even tho I didn't have the pleasure of getting to know them. I've been told by alot of people who knew them that I reminded them of my grandmother, and to me, from the stories I've heard about her, is an awesome compliment! I'm not buying gifts this year...all my grandkids are grown & get what they want themselves. Christmas day, my son & DIL will be home, but then they have to work afterwards. They'll be doing Christmas with their oldest daughter at her house one day over the weekend after Christmas. I'm never invited, but it doesn't bother me. Holidays are just too hard on this old woman anymore! God bless y'all & I pray the whole family has a wonderful & joyful Christmas!! Love y'all, from VA! ❤️🩹✨️
Thank you for sharing this special video. I am so far away...but have family buried throughout the region...Old Savannah Baptist, Turkey Creek, Downtown Sylva. I may not be near, but they are always in my heart. Merry Christmas!
It is so important to remember those who've gone before us. I know where many of my ancestors are buried because I went with my grandma every Memorial Day to decorate the graves. Love y'all
Such beautiful arrangements for the gravesites. I'm sure they both would be appreciative of the love. I like "going along for the ride". Makes it seem like I'm really there. Merry Christmas all!
My mom would always buy the extra large pecan log at Stucky's whenever we would travel. Merry Christmas to you, granny,& the girls & babies ( that includes Austin lol)
I so appreciate you sharing your mountain life. It sort of makes my heart hurt because I long to be there, but it also makes me feel like I’m close to my mama.
My Momma loved orange slices. She used to make orange slice cake, which is more like applesauce cake or banana bread. I try not to make it because it is so full of sugar but I sure do love it. I don't like the circus peanuts either but my Momma loved them. I always make a special trip to the cemetery to decorate my husband's, my Mommas, and my Daddys graves for Christmas. I have little Christmas trees set in coffee cans in cement. They are decorated in things that each one of them enjoyed. Bless your sweet family.
Thank you for the beautiful ride and sharing memories, my husband and I were at the cemetery yesterday, those that haven’t had a loss of loved ones have no idea what others go through daily, the holidays are even worse, your trip through the hills helped, God’s blessings to you and all💕🕊️🙏⭐️
Orange slices were my Daddy's favorites too and every Christmas he'd give me couple cans of nuts and chocolate covered cherries and a box of the turtles candy. December is hard for me I'm only child and my parents are both gone and also is my birthday which always the day we would go cut a cedar tree and decorate for Christmas.😢
My grandma loved orange slices and circus peanuts too! Sweet memories! I make orange slices cookies ever year. A sweet lady who has gone to Glory now gave me the recipe. Not Christmas without them! Merry Christmas!
I so loved riding along with you on your errands. My dad always has the orange slices when I was a kid, thanks for the memory. At 90 he lives with me and my hubby and I plan to go buy some tomorrow and put in his stocking.
Hey guys, it's always a pleasure to watch you all, no matter what your doing! Those road trips with the scenery footage is fantastic. I forget how smooth roads are in other states compared to where I'm at in Michigan. Miss Cindy and Paps grave sites look real nice. Prayers for Granny and everybody!❤
I always loved orange slices and spearmint leaves. I never cared for circus peanuts. I'm glad you were able go get your turkey without having to go to Walmart or Ingles. I adored my dad and lost him at 16, but no matter how old you are, there's nothing like losing your mom.
it’s beautiful Matt! similar to my mamma’s! lost her in 2020 we got 3 weeks after her diagnosis before she went home to the Lord! took me 2 yrs before i could go to her gravesite, partly cuz i was still driving had 15 mins left of my hour drive n didn’t make it! hope u all have a Merry Christmas with those babies, my granddaughter is not far from her debut, i will update u after she does! thank u so much for all ur prayers for my daughter/ granddaughter!!!❤❤❤
Great video Tipper and Matt love the ride along beautiful area y'all live at yep I miss my Dad the last Christmas we had with him was in 94 he knew he wasn't going to be here for the next Christmas he made his last Christmas special for us he when to Heaven in January of 95 thanks for sharing and Mercy Christmas my friends 🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁🎁👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks for taking us along on your errands. Very beautiful drive. Tipper, I am with you on the crowed stores, just can’t do it anymore. May your family have a blessed week
I lost a daughter in 1981 and can't go to her grave because Helene tore the grave yard up and they still haven't fixed it yet don't know what shape her grave is in but she is still in my heart God bless you all and Merry Christmas
My Granny always had orange slices and she loved circus peanuts .....I enjoyed your video....I felt sad for Matt standing there looking on his Mother's grave, I'm sure he misses her ....And I know you miss your Dad too Tipper .....That's something I've still need to do is put flowers on the graves 🌿🌹for Christmas 🎀 ....
That is a beautiful cemetery filled with expressive headstones. Our cemetery only allows the one's flat to the ground, therefore I've never seen an arrangement that clamps onto the headstone. Beautiful poinsettias! Merry Christmas in heaven Miss Cindy and Pap 🌬❄️
I only like orange slices and circus peanuts when they are fresh and melt in your mouth. When they are dried out they aren't very good. Driving around in your area is a lot like the area where I live in Alabama. Your flower topping for Miss Cindy did seem the perfect touch for her.
I think about my dad every day. We didn’t have the best of relationship but towards the end God made it better for both of us. We put his ashes into Lake Glenville just north of Cashiers. I miss him deeply.

Yes we will! Thank you Lisa!!
There was a ladybug on Miss Cindy's headstone. ❤🐞
😊
How is Granny doing today. Katie and Corie shared the news about Granny. I love her so much. I pray for her every day. I am still praying for the hurricane victims.
She’s good today 😊 thank you
So beautiful Tipper and Matt. So precious. The countryside of Appalachia is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing. ❤
Our pleasure!
Always love coming for a visit with the Pressely and Wilson family almost like coming home 💕♥️🎄🎄🎄🎄Merry Christmas 🎄
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you 😊
It speaks well of people when they care for their loved ones graves. God Bless your loving hearts.
This video is a pleasing🚘 "tag along " ride; chatting and scenery, plus the shopping, feels like home to me too.
It's a part of life and a wonderful way to honor their memory.
I love orange slices 🧡
The poinsettias for Ms Cindy were so beautiful-just like her…it’s hard to believe it’s been a year and a half. Time is sure getting away from me the older I get. I pray y’all have a great weekend and very blessed Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! 😊
My daddy and my husband loved those orange slices
Merry Christmas to u and urs
It's such beautiful country where you live... 💚
Mama says my Papaw's favorite candy was those orange slices. He passed when she was a teen, so I usually get her some orange slices for Christmas to remember him.
Such a sweet gesture!!
I love being with y’all! I don’t have a sister. Love you!!❤❤❤❤
Miss Cindy was (from what you've shown and shared with us) beautiful and understated. 💞 🙏🏼🙌🏼
Peace be with you and your family.
Bless you Debbie!! Praying for you!!
I like the orange slices and the gum drops and old fashioned stick candy love from ky
Love y'all
Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas 🎄
Such beautiful arrangements for the gravesites. I'm sure they both would be appreciative of the love. I like "going along for the ride". Makes it seem like I'm really there. Merry Christmas all!
Thank you for letting us ride the winding roads with you. The Lady Bug on Miss Cindy's Headstone is a sign She was there with You. Beautiful💝
Thank you!!
My mom would always buy the extra large pecan log at Stucky's whenever we would travel. Merry Christmas to you, granny,& the girls & babies ( that includes Austin lol)
I loved Stuckeys pecan log roll and Claxton fruit cake
Thank you 😊 Merry Christmas!
Thank you for sharing your special family traditions. That cake is so good 😊
Those roads are so beautiful! I cannot imagin traveling without bumper to bumper traffic. You are so blessed!
Love your video miss Cindy's flower looked beautiful and paps looked beautiful l also love orange slices great seeing you and Matt Tipper ❤️ Shelby
I LOVE orange slices, and HATE circus peanuts ! Merry Christmas to all of you!!
I always enjoy watching your videos ❤❤❤
I’m so glad! 😊
Very touching!! And what a beautiful area you live in! ❤
Thank you! We love it here 😊
Thank you for the beautiful ride and sharing memories, my husband and I were at the cemetery yesterday, those that haven’t had a loss of loved ones have no idea what others go through daily, the holidays are even worse, your trip through the hills helped, God’s blessings to you and all💕🕊️🙏⭐️
Orange slices were my Daddy's favorites too and every Christmas he'd give me couple cans of nuts and chocolate covered cherries and a box of the turtles candy. December is hard for me I'm only child and my parents are both gone and also is my birthday which always the day we would go cut a cedar tree and decorate for Christmas.😢
Love those memories. I’m so sorry you lost them.
I love Little Debbie " NuttyBuddy's" ...they're a weakness 😂❤. Merry Christmas all.
They are good! Merry Christmas 🎄
My grandma loved orange slices and circus peanuts too! Sweet memories! I make orange slices cookies ever year. A sweet lady who has gone to Glory now gave me the recipe. Not Christmas without them! Merry Christmas!
It’s so beautiful where y’all live! Thanks for taking me along with you!
I so loved riding along with you on your errands. My dad always has the orange slices when I was a kid, thanks for the memory. At 90 he lives with me and my hubby and I plan to go buy some tomorrow and put in his stocking.
He will love that 😊
Thank you for taking us along!
You are very welcome! 😊
I wish I lived close enough to my Mom and Dad and brothers and my husband to go on Christmas in different holidays because I sure do miss them all
I know you miss them.
I LOVE Peacan Logs. Now I want one. lol
Thank you Tony!
It is bittersweet to visit the graves. Miss Cindy's poinsettias looked lovely. God bless you and your family. Prayers for Granny!
Thank you so much! We appreciate you 😊
Matt is a hoot !!
Sounds like a wonderful father! I’m so glad you had him!! Thank you!
Thanks Tipper for your kind words my friend
Give Granny and Ira and Woody a hug from me. I'm praying for your family.
I will thank you!
We appreciate you ❤❤Merry Christmas Pressleys ❤❤ Tatiana is home from the hospital and on the mend❤
So glad she is home! Answered prayer 😊
Thank you!
I think about my dad every day. We didn’t have the best of relationship but towards the end God made it better for both of us. We put his ashes into Lake Glenville just north of Cashiers. I miss him deeply.
I’m glad you were close before he died so sorry you lost him.
Thanks for taking us with you.
Beautiful scenery
RIH Miss Cindy !!
