I came here to reminisce about an amazing time in figure skating. I miss the skaters that made you so excited! Nobody played to the crowd like this guy.
Je t'aime, Philippe! You'll always be my favourite skater! Thank you for all the wonderful, unforgettable moments performed by you during the "Golden Age of Skating." May you be happy now and in the years to come. 🙂 Dieu te bénisse, toi et ta famille! 🙏🤗👍💕🇫🇷⚜️
The charm of this guy. You see how when he did the part of the program where he leans at the boards and choreographs right at the audience to the bell tolling? Look at the two photographers closest to him. They’re so confused by what he’s doing and by the time he’s done , they’re both smiling. Phillippe could charm a cactus. 😂
You saw that fall, those shitty off-axis spins, and shaky landings from all the jumps, and still be like "yeah this is art"??? Lmao. The "gymnastics" that we have today is definitely way better in terms of quality.
@@xSTARR999 What a coward, calling everyone who finds your opinion so bad a troll. I am not a troll, I genuinely think your opinion of the current skaters laughably bad.
@@sasstsuma1467 technical perfection can be very very boring. And it is boring and not at all memorable. His performances, on the other hand, I do remember (despite off-axis spins and shaky landings)
On était hyper tristes....
5th in the long program. How do you justify that? Okay, his spins are meh and overall this technique is a little wonky. A couple of slightly shaky landings on the toe and the flip. But the axel at the end was his only serious mistake. I think the technical marks were fine because it wasn’t perfect. 5.7, 5.8 felt fair. But 5.5? Nope. And Philippe was nothing if not a showman so I don’t get those presentation marks at all. 5.6, 5.7? Yikes
The gold metal should have been between him and Elvis Stojko. They were robbed by Alexis Urmanov and his Swan Lake and frilly costume. Figure skating was stuck in the dark ages in 1994.
Wow !! Amazing HD remastered !!! Unbelievable.
Yes, magnificent for 1994.

He was still awesome!!
Premier Prix Artistique !
Toujours un plaisir de le voir !

When figure skating was an art and not a gymnastics competition.

Pourquoi? Qu’est ce qu’il a fait et tu le detestes?
