This is such an underrated mod, yet it makes such a huge impact on the interior, especially if the car has black seats and black door panels but grey pillars and headliner from factory. Great video !
If you see this, how does the headliner attach to the roof? Is it just clips or is there adhesive or something that needs to be added? Thanks, looks great!
I don’t like the 2 tone black bottom tan too in my 2016 m3 but lighter color does make it feel more open dark headliner makes it feel smaller idk that’s imo Great job though headliners are a pita
@@melissagoeb606 I've seen someone do it by taking it out through the trunk . Seemed easy. I'm going to be removing it that way as well when the time comes , prevents you from removing the seats. Hope this helps. God bless you.
@@ImBrianJabali th-cam.com/video/VEM_wKk-ug0/w-d-xo.html That's it right there. It's more towards the end where she starts flocking the dash. Amazing job I’m going to do that on mines to save money and also what kind of exhaust do you have on there? It sounded good when you was backing into ye garage
@@ColtonRichter great thanks and one last thing when I put my Mazda3 2004 in drive it doesn’t catch gear so I have to rev it up and it goes to 3rd and 4th gear then does a heavy jerk when it finally catch then goes back down to the first gear (also it’s automatic)
Do we need to sand down those pillars for painting? My pillars have a texture on them so I’m worried if I sand with a sand paper it might kinda ruin it…. Can anyone advise please
You know, if it wasn't for your videos I'd probably fuck around with my car a LOT less than I have. You're costing me money, bro! All in good fun though.
How come I have airbags on all 4 corner panels is there a way I can by pass the back panels behind the seats?? I don’t want that thing blowing up in my face when yanking off the panels
This is kind of making me want to do mine maybe next year if I get all the other stuff taken cared of after it getting hit, twice, while parked.....but yea this looks great dude. As for the Seat Belts, if you reaaaaally wanted to I would just hand paint them honestly to the best of your ability. It be difficult but doable imo. The Handles idk I think it looks alright so you can see them if passenger's need them etc but they look good in black also.
It is, either due to heavy spray. I'm not sure if you'd get different results if you went super light spray. Either way, I don't ever touch my roof so wasn't a big deal for me :)

It's making me thing about the next seat choice!
How well has the color held up?? Thinking of doing this to my car!
Still looks great!
Thanks! Been searching for a detailed video and this one beats them all ☝🏼
Looks great! Good job! I was thinking of doing that to my 3 too! Nice to see someone else do it!
Do it!
If you see this, how does the headliner attach to the roof? Is it just clips or is there adhesive or something that needs to be added? Thanks, looks great!
I recall it being held in by things like the handles, a few pins, and lights
Fire I’m trying to do that myself
Good luck!

What size socket wrench did you use ?
New mazda 3 owner here. 2005 hatch. Can you take the headliner out without removing the seats fully? Any help would be appreciated.
It's practically impossible without damaging the headliner
Ahh gotcha. Trouble I seem to be having is I have a sunroof in my hatchback.

Great video. I'm thinking about doing this to my car. Did you end up using the clear coat on these after 3 coats of the black?
I used matte clearcoat on the trims!
@@ColtonRichter my man, thanks for getting back. Totally going to do this to my 2013. Hope you're doing well.
Also your dogs are adorable
Happened to be the tenants dogs that rent the house my shop is on 😅
But... dog & car content?
@@ColtonRichter Billie and Doug content please 🐕🦺🦮
@@ColtonRichter that would be dope dude
I wanna go the TDIB route and not only pull out all my pillars but flock them black. Now that would be extra sick. This is already pretty sick too.
DAMN I DIDNT THINK OF THAT, a good idea for Shaniqua 👀
@@ColtonRichter aayy there you go dude. Good luck.
do you have a link to that method?

LOVE IT!!
Yeeeeee
Did this hold up? If you scratch it will the paint come off?
Yes, paint sticks nice.
Love this 👍 how many cans of spray did it take complete the full car ?
I think around 5-6

Just a muffler delete on the stock exhaust :)

@@ColtonRichter could it also be my transmission?
Dude that looks fucking sick, can't wait to do this

Fuck yesssss! Gonna do this and put lights on the mf roof
yeeeeeeeesssssssssss
LITERALLY 💯
the chemicals in the paint didnt damage the glue and foam beneath?
Didn't look like it no
Yeyy! Matte black suits well 🔥 it's awesome 🙌
Yesss, paint the panel plsss 💪
Awesome vid Colton!
Thank you sir! Panel paint inbound 🔥
Can you do that to mine haha if only I wasn’t in australia
It's easy! Take some time n' tackle it :)

I just scuffed mine a bit, just ensure it's clean
About time
Nice job
How much do you guys think it would cost, To black out all the baiged Colored panels & Headline in a car?
Around $100-$150
Yo so can i still take out the front gray pillars even tho it has srs airbag? Or would it set them off
Yeah it's just a curtain, make sure to disconnect your battery
That intro 🗿☠️
LOL

@@ColtonRichter what’s the best way to disconnect the air bags??
They'll just be plugged in I assume, best to unplug your battery

The handles are doable, but to hold the spring back to paint the latches are the reason why I didn't do them. Will do in the future!
@@ColtonRichter Would you do a video on it or just off Cam?
It would be off cam, not enough to film with

Toot-Toot!! 😷 Looks really good, but def need to paint the door panels 👍
On it!
👍🏻
Paint brush on that seat belt piece
Finish would come out super nasty though
You should have painted the handles
I will at some point, the spring makes it a bit of a pain
I paint mine with coffee stains
Bruh
