I’m LOVING Christopher Lamberts voice in this. It makes Raiden sound wise and Ancient but in a “been watching things from a far” way while the other Raiden is more of a proactive “ things must be done” manner.
Which really was how film Raiden was, he only stepped in when he deemed it necessary.
His voice chords hurt my ears.

Wow, they really have a huge respect for the franchise. The first MK still is the best adaptation from a game in movie history after 25 years. All these actors nailed their roles and truly shaped the characters for the next generations. Even passed Trevor Goddard as Kano! Netherrealm should bring back Liu Kang with Robin Shou skin and VA and same for Talisa Soto's Kitana and they will make serious money.

Sadly, that's probably something they're not gonna follow up on, and was probably just an easter egg referencing the fact that Shang Tsung was originally conceptualized as a character named Shang Lao during the early development stages of the original Mortal Kombat game. Would be cool if they do follow up on it though, but I kinda doubt they will.

MK11 has the Best VA acting kast. Keith Davis(Spawn), Lambert(Klassic Raiden skin), and the list goes on.
It really does have good VA’s and some don’t even get much screen time in story mode etc.
And then Ronda Rousey and Dimitri Vegas ruin it.

IIRC, Shang Lao was what Shang Tsung was originally going to be called. The idea of a brother or an alternate version of Shang Tsung going by that name might be interesting, though.
Shang lao was the original name of Shang tsung , when the game was being made , then it was changed to Shang tsung

Oh man, I just watched this movie yesterday when it was on AMC. Such a fun movie. Linden Ashby was perfect as Johnny Cage.
I think they could've tried a bit more to have Sonya look like Bridgette Wilson. otherwise these are all great. Just need Robin Shou's Liu Kang and Talisa Soto for Kitana!

It's so funny to me that all these are alternate voices and skins for the characters and then there's Shang Tsung who is played by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa the whole game because he's that good.
