    A1 mini, just for myself, to make cool little toys for myself. imma get it, thanks man.

    I hated my ender printers (3v2 and 3v3se) but I learned a TON about HOW the printers worked. I spend hours tweaking and calibrating and leveling and blah blah blah. I spent much less time printing.
    When I finally bought my A1, I could FINALLY heave a sigh of relief and do some printing. I printed a board game design (that I waited 2 years to print because I didn't want to do it on my enders).
    So if you want to learn hardware... Buy an ender. If you want to learn printing... Buy an A1

      Well I am new and I startwd with the V3 SE and I haven't had any problems so far the auto Z and bed leveling make it easy.
      What did you hate about your V3 SE and what problems did you have,, mine has been great so far but I did just buy the A1 combo on the BF sale but haven't unboxed it yet

      @@andreamitchell4758 The BIGGEST (Singular) problem I had (with the v3SE) was trying to get it on Octoprint (so I could print over the network). Because of the lack of customizability of the printer firmware, I couldn't flash it to allow the control codes to be sent from octoprint to, say, pause the printer if I wanted to do a colour change.
      While I COULD get it working with Octoprint, I never was able to get it to pause properly on command.
      I was able to do this on my 3v2, because it allowed you to flash it to a newer (and MUCH MUCH better firmware), but the problems with that were print speed.
      I think both printers printed ok (though I had many more problems with bed adhesion on those printers), but in the end, I found MUCH more flexibility and freedom (with less fighting) with the Bambulab A1.
      (That said... I learned a LOT about printers in the process)

    The Ender 3 did more to turn me off 3D printing than anything ever. DETEST Creality and all the people who told me "Oh you need to spend more time learning how to set it up." No, I bought it to make stuff, not to become an expert in the intricacies of deposition print mechanics.

      I got an ender 3 pro for $109 and never opened the box because of comments like this.
      I ended up getting the V3 SE and it was super easy to use and was printing great after 15 minutes of setup
      The auto Z is a game changer I just wish the community would come out with a strain gauge under the bed mod to make the old enders like the V3 series with auto Z.
      I did just pick up an A1 combo for the BF sale but I haven't opened it yet

      @@andreamitchell4758 No amount of money would persuade me to waste time on a Creality product again. But if you bought one and are content with it, then I'm happy for you. All any of really wants is to have fun printing!

      Man your comment shows a sheer lack of respect for the hobby. 3d printers 10 years ago were a nightmare. Ye ppl should learn on a machine like the ender 3. It will make you appreciate the bambulabs products just that much more. But hey ppl don't want to learn anything they just want things to work for them without putting in any effort.

      @@rook6591 What a ridiculous and pompous comment. I want to make things; I don't want to form a relationship with the hobby, and I certainly don't want to become a technician.
      Your comment is as ludicrous as saying "Everyone should learn to drive a car on a stick shift with bad tires and no safety or quality of life features so you understand how far things have come." It's laughably pompous, and lacking totally in comprehension why 3D printing has suddenly exploded.
      You might get a aroused levelling beds, and adjusting tensioning bands; the vast majority do not.

    • @noyiian6734
      @noyiian6734 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Martial-Mat Knowing how to drive stick teaches mechanical sympathy and develops at least basic fundamentals of how the car works. Same goes with 3D printers, are you just going to buy a new printer every time it goes out of calibration or if the nozzle clogs? The ender 3 is as easy as it gets when it comes to assembly/setup, be open to learning it once properly and never worry about slight inconveniences.

    Wait, isn't A1 mini capable to heat bed up to 90C? I takes like 10 minutes, but I had no problems with it ... except it smells and it's expensive and rather soft. I assume that impact resistance means complete break of material and PCTG can crack, bend and then give up whereas PETG shatters. However my feeling is that PETG can survive stronger impact before it cracks. And I tested black PCTG vs transparent PETG. I use PCTG mostly for small parts that should be somewhat flexible and dimensionally accurate and I used like 150g of it so far.

      They're in a special economic zone with it's own trade relations with the US. Most consumer electronics companies are in China because it bypasses most Chinese trade restrictions. The trump admin will probably still respect that. Places like Shenzhen are fairly chill, I mean they still have CCP officials installed and all that but business wise we're usually chill with them.

    The benefit of multi-extruder printers is speed. They don't poop or need purge towers. They can take a quarter of the time to print multi-color prints.

    • @andreamitchell4758
      @andreamitchell4758 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the biggest benefit is lack of waste.
      Sure speed is nice but not wasting 3 times more filament than you actually use is an even bigger benefit

    The Carbon X1 AMS was a game changer in colour printing. I felt so bad for Mosaic, but their solution was always nothing but a stop gap.
    So funny to see 3DJake so slow to get on to the Bambu train, and now they're playing catchup. Maybe Polyterra will get with the program eventually too.

      He’s getting ready for the next Bambu model to come out. Bambu claims “it does what was previously impossible”, so expectations are high.

    • @Martial-Mat
      @Martial-Mat หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheOfficialOriginalChad Generally, I would treat a claim like that with scepticism, but Bambu has exceeded my expectations at every time, so I'm optimistic to see what they have planned. Not sure what they could be planning - FAR easier resin would excite me. Less wasteful colour or multi tool head colour also. 24 bit colour PLA would be great. There's very little I need that my Carbon doesn't already do.
      What are your hopes or suspicions?

    • @TheOfficialOriginalChad
      @TheOfficialOriginalChad หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ Same, I do hope they mean “impossible” literally. If that’s the case then it may be a new motion system, another axis of movement.
      24 bit color is a good guess as well. Hueforge is huge on Makerworld, and they’ve been selling a CMYK filament bundle for a while now. Because hueforge is already so matured, it needs to be a leap in the way hue matching works. Hueforge’s layered approach has a limited color depth because of the minimum layer thickness. To me, improving that would be in-line filament mixing, as the color depth

    • @Martial-Mat
      @Martial-Mat หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheOfficialOriginalChad Hmmm, another axis of movement to reduce or eliminate support would be massive. I would love inline filament mixing but I suspect that would be so slow as to be unusable. I've seen pixel 3D printers and the quality is awful.
      I think I'll go for the axis of movement thanks!

    A solo printer shouldn’t be a mini. For beginners, a standard size printer should be recommended. You’re missing out on a lot of stuff fast and Makerworld gets frustrating. Better start with a full size A1, or you buy twice.

      Some of us have specific usecases that do not require larger beds, and it has been more or less proven now that the smaller bed (with its smaller mass) can lead to better prints. So your thesis is wrong on at least two levels.

      The A1 is easier to swap nozzles, have the same size as PS1 and CarbonX1 (In fact bigger because the periferics inside steal some print space) and is only 10-15% slower. Its a great machine, if you dont need to print ABS its perfect.

      @@israelrobles681wait does the A1 mini not have the same quick swap nozzle system as the A1?
      I just got the A1 combo but haven't opened it yet I am just curious if the A1 is the only machine they have that has the quick swap ,I know the 01 and X1 series don't have it.
      Partly influenced my decision, that and A1 has pressure advance and the higher models don't.
      Of course price was the main factor and I heard the AMS lite is slightly less wasteful and more reliable than the full AMS.
      I would not mind spending the money on a coreXY multicolor printer but not until they can do a multi tool for 2k or 1800.
      I hope that is what Bambu has up their sleeve for the next flagship brhat was delayed till Q1 2025.
      They said it's going to be a "game changer" so I was even reluctant to get the A1 combo
