I love how you manage to get your creations to 'glow' they are just amazing.
I suppose it’s all about contrast and making sure that when using the colours there are a good range of values in terms of lights and darks etc. thank you for your kind comment. ❤️

This reminds me of a beautiful valley of delphiniums, snapdragons statice and lots of other beautiful flowers. Where you could pick a basket full and take home to a little cottage to enjoy. Imagine if this was the view from your house. Thanks for another great picture and video ❤

WOW!! Spectacular! The streaming light effects look so complicated, but you make them look so effortless!! I am definitely going to use your underpainting technique, laying the base for the flowers. Fabulous Lisa, I love the way you use the torn paper and the application of inks to make a wonderful horizon and for the all of the flower levels. It’s been ages since Ive used my rough water colour card, thanks for the reminder. Take care Sandy 🌸 PS I love the tip on colouring Gesso with pastel and using that with the flower stamp 🤩

Absolutely beautiful Lisa. I bought some of those soft pastels but not sure im using them right, they seem very scratchy and don't blend very well 🤔. You make it look so easy 🥰
Sorry to hear that! If they are the same brand as mine that shouldn’t happen . Mine are extra soft and easy to use. One suggestion that may make a difference is make sure any stamping painting or inking underneath is completely dry before using pastels on top. Hope that helps. Xx

Hey Lisa I hope you don’t mind this question but …… do you sit down knowing what you’re going to do? Or do you just think today I’m going to use spray or paint and see what happens? I’m asking because at one point it looked like it wasn’t coming together …… and then you it it out of the park …… this is so dreamy and beautiful … so if it’s the latter there’s still hope for me lol xx 23:17
Hi thank you for your question. It is a mixture of both. Sometimes I create a random background with colour and let that dictate the type of picture and the stamps etc. I will see a scene in the colour mix. Other times, like in the current case, I’m inspired to create a particular scene. I’m obsessed with meadows and beautiful skies and I like to experiment with different colours and moods. I had a good idea in my head what this one should look like. As with all mixed media pieces it’s important to gradually build the layers. There will always be an ‘ugly phase’ but in this one I knew where I was going and what had to be in the under layers for the lighter colours on top to pop! I take inspiration from pictures and photographs . Other times I just wing it, trust the process and see what happens! It’s definitely a journey and most times the destination surprises me! That’s why I encourage people to be brave and see what happens. 😊❤️
