Prince Cihangir gets in bed to die!
Cihangir grieves for Mustafa and gets off his feed. Suleiman struggles desperately for his son. Hurrem gets worried about Cihangir. Bayezid's anger for his mother doesn't cool off. Rustem gets worried for his life and his fears come true. One of Mustafa's friends goes back to the capital to take his revenge. He surrounds Rustem's palace with the revolters. Bayezid saves Mihrimah and Rustem. As Cihangir's clamours surround the whole camp, Suleiman puts out of his misery. Hurrem and Suleiman gets tested with the grief of losing a child. As Hurrem gets devastated byy Cihangir's death, Suleiman tries to heal his soul. A bitter fight starts between Hurrem's two living sons to be able to ascend the throne.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

The new Hurrem actress is good with the older cool, and calculated Hurrem. But the original Hurrem actress would have been so much better in these emotional scenes
I think the acting by most of the players in this series has been exquisite. But I do wonder how Meryem Uzerli would have fulfilled the role of the more mature Hurrem. She brought a raw defiance to the younger character. But time and experience would likely have tempered the immature reactivity of Hurrem. Vahide Percin represents that very well while not failing to portray the resolute determination of her character.
I never likef Selim, but in this episode they showed that he had a heart. From the talks with Chiangir, to the way he lief to Mirimah anout Chisngir not suffering. You could see a small flicker of care witjin him.
Mahidevran's actress is amazing. At first I thought she couldn't nail the grieve after Mustafa but it all makes sense now. It was very in character for her not to overreact - because she was going to poison herself anyways. Then little Mehmed stopped her so she kept her composure again, because she had a grandson and a daughter-in-law to care for; all that was left of a family her beloved son started. Only now, having lost both Mehmed and Mihrunisa, she allowed herself to grieve - and, being Mahidevran, she grieves by hatred and aggression. A wonderful script wonderfully carried out by a wonderful actress.

I REALLY want what mahidevran did to mehmet to be reveiled to everyone!!!! Because I can't stand her arrogance to want to get revenge, while she conveniently forgets this was actually her karma for what she did to mehmet!! And Hürrem didn't even do it purely out of revenge (help mustafa's fate come earlier, because without her help, his end would've come anyway), she just feared mahidevran wouldn't stop when something happens to suleiman and her son takes the throne!!! She was acting out of survival!!! I really want the truth to come out!!! I've had enough of mahidevran blaming others, while she's the most vile and unresponsible woman!!! She raised mustafa so that he made mistakes, she always blames others and never sees her own evil deeds!!! Time to put that woman into her place!!!

Interesting to note that, historically at least and despite the loss of her beloved Mustafa, Mahidevran outlived not only Hurrem, but also Suleiman and all of his children.
And Salim helped her out financially when he was Sultan.

The scene between Suleyman and Taslicali Yahya Bey is very moving. The poet in Suleyman gets the better of him and he shows magnanimity in allowing Taslicali to go free . Valuing his work as a poet. Plus he promises him that no one can say anything against him. 👍🏻💕💕💕What a fantastic scene.
So much death in that palace...concubines, agas, servants, messengers, guards, Sueliman's mother, favorite women, little unborn babies, etc....wow, later Gufen, Hurrem, ...so much sadness.

It is the customs and traditions to be blamed. All - Hurrem, Suleiman, their children, Mustafa, Mahidevran - all were victims of a tradition. If anyone has to be blamed, certainly it’s not the people who should be blamed. It’s the system that has to be questioned and blamed.
Bayezid is like Mahidevran, he just wouldn't accept the consequences of his own actions when exposed. Always fighting like he is the only righteous one.
This show has so many beautiful moments like from 1:01:55,my favorite melody sounds so beautiful,this show has poetry and such moments as flashbacks,or reading letters or poetry with beautiful music in the background or so may meaningful dialogues like Suleiman and Cihangir's talk in the last episode when Suleiman tried to explain himself,there is really no such great Turkish show like this one.

Mahidevran is very fluent is cursing Hurrem. She has been cursing Hurrem since the very first day Hurrem went to the privy chamber till now. Eventually her cursed killed her only son, Mustafa. What a toxic and pathetic woman!

In history, Suleiman made him grand vizier again after 2 years. The snake eventually died of hydrocephalus.

They go together everywhere, mahidebvran told the guard to assassin Mehmet, the guard attempted several times to stab Mehmet but he failed, the other time Mehmet and the guard were training is when the cut Mehmet on his hand with the sword, Mehmet and everyone thought it was a mistake, that was when mahidebvran gave the guard a very strong poison to put on Mehmet wound, after the guard put the poison on Mehmet wound during that night is when Mehmet died.
As soon as Mehmet died the guard took the remaining poison and threw it away to leave no trace of his death 💔 💀 😔 😪 😢.

Beyazid is an angry, hurtful man who did as he pleased and hated his parents. Just nasty to Selim who was a sensitive child. The actor portrays him as brave but very agressive and entitled…. Good job.

We don’t kn what really happened in the history..it’s a power war,no one’s innocents! But one thing in this movie I see,they tried to show hurrem and rustem as evils & mustafa innocent & intelligent! I think they created this movie by personal ideas! All of these can’t be real at all !

Yes, Mehmet died in 1553 same year as his father at age 7. That's very sad but was done to prevent him from inheriting the throne in the future. If a prince is executed they usually execute the sons of the prince too, unfortunately. The movie didn't show it but implied it by saying he will not see his mother ever again, episode 124 I think and at 50:32 on this current episode. It's also written in history that he was executed by Sulieman's order too.

Mustafa and cihangir are so innocent. Let’s not forget magidevran lost one child hurrem lost 2. I mean I felt so bad for mustafa but I just couldn’t stand mahidevran.
why was fatma with selim and bayezid? they knew selim was obeying fully at hurrem and bayezid was beloved by mustafa
