NX expressons linked to external spreadsheet

NX enables you to recieve values from an external spreadsheet. You may use this techniqe to control complex components or assemblies.

I’ll have to check out the book. How does it the relate to the 2007 release. The title says NX 11-12 and beyond. Is this viable for the latest version? Also I know nothing about using expressions in NX (new user).
