It was egg shaped, and probably felt good on the beak- I could see how the pine cone appealed to Jackie. i enjoyed the pine cone while it was there. It is possible another pine cone will be brought, perhaps. I hope the pine cone grows up into a large majestic tree from Jackie's intervention into getting the cone in a new location in the forest. There were crows outside my window while I watched this, and I laughed that we seem to be listening to the same "song" at the same moment, the crows making similar sounds outside my window- That was an excellent shot of the claws on the eagles foot. Wow, so large - so much power, and I'm sure some of those sticks are heavy. Thank you for all your wonderful uploads- I do enjoy watching- all the animals that come and visit the nest, the bits of forest that are brought there, and the fantastic view in the back ground.
@tintadawn2756 Thank you very much for such a wonderful comment! Yes, it is possible that another cone will be brought to the nest. Have a great day!❤️❤️🥰😍🦅🦅🎄🐿️❤️
I am glad they r beginning efforts on aereating the nest ...their time frames are so different from Florida. I wonder when egg laying begins, nest work is desperately needed❤🦅🦅
Coneilia the pinecone🎄has disappeared from the nest. 😭 Having foreseen but I miss her. 😢 Goodbye Coneilla! 😩She comes into buds and become grow big pine trees. 🎄🎄🎄 Jackie and Shadow, beware of cunning ravens. They aim not only the nest but also eggs. Fiona 🐿please don't forget Coneilia. ❤
@kawaaisa383 Thank you very much for your lovely comment! Fiona seemed to like the cone, but she was happy because of the new fluff, too. Have a wonderful day! ❤️
Wonder if they hang out together when they fly off . . Maybe they’re off to grab a bite to eat 😂. The only time there is food in the nest is for the kids…..then they eat some of it ❤
@judiwelch7053 Thank you for your nice comments. I believe there will soon be fish for Jackie in the nest as the new breeding season is approaching. Have a great day! ❤️🦅🦅😍🥰
@53shuzzie The pinecone was called Jeffrey at first because it was from the Jeffrey tree. However, it turned out later that it is a female pinecone so there was a naming contest and the name Coneilia won. The story is here: th-cam.com/video/e4ZJk_81JXw/w-d-xo.html

How long were they stepping around that pine cone? They're goofy birds.
@stevedrake604 The cone was brought to the nest on October 20, so it was in the nest for more than a month.
I thought the pine cone’s name was Kevin.
