Awesome editing! It really put a smile on my face and I couldn't help but chuckle a bit when you walked past that "40 i sommerhusområdet" sign. Gonna be humming that melody the rest of the day.. It's just so happy and carefree ^^
Love that Arrma Typhon of yours. I can tell you love buggies ❤️. From tamiya to Arrma. And looking at the condition of your Typhon, I can tell that you have really taken care of it very well! I bet you haven't broken anything yet since you got it last year. 💪
Hi Ian. Yeah, my no. 1 will always be the buggies 😍 The Typhon hasn’t really been into serious combat yet (no skateparks around here) so a few jumps and a lot of flips and rolls in the snow and grass. Nothing that can harm her. But would soon like to try some serious jumps with her.
Hola que gran video muchas gracias. Una pregunta el aparato cuadrado que se vende a parte que funcion tiene? Es necesario ponerlo en el coche tambien? Junto al velocimetro? Muchas gracias😊
Hiya Mikael. Good idea to test the GPS devices. I've still got the old one but I really ought to get the new one with the app. I was out today with the Arrma Typhon 3s that I got second hand recently. Was really good but I did end up bending a shock shaft. Anyway I enjoyed your vid and the quirky music was a good choice. Happy Saturday my friend :-)
Hiya Pete! Yeah, they should theoretically read exactly the same, so it was good to see they actually did :-) I think the old one is fine, but yeah, I do like the compact new one with the app. Uhh, too bad about the Typhon. Hmm, what's up with those shocks on the 3S versions? Everytime I hear about them they either leak or bend or breaks. Would love an Arrma 3S still. But just spend my Big Rock savings on Tamiya parts :-) Happy Sunday to you in a couple of hours :-)
@@NordicRC Hi Mikael. With the Arrma 3s shocks the ones on the version 2 did leak and can be fixed with Tamiya red o rings. The ones on the version 3 are fine as they updated the o rings. As to the shock shaft bending I'd say that they are easily as strong or stronger than Tamiya shocks or other brands of this size. The difference is that these are fast heavy bashers and so crashing into a rock at the wrong angle is going to be more damaging. I did drive into a solid object at speed so I will let it off for bending. I would have thought that with your big open areas you would be fine. Definitely still recommended :-)
What I needed a comparison across the 3 models. likely the same circuitry, just with some added bells and whistles on the 020 model. The only unit I have is the 020, but even though the 020 varant is newer it does seem to miss some of the functionality of the older 015, as that unit looks like it also was able to map your route with some fancy-free SkyRC PC software. when I purchased my 020 a few years back..I didn't notice any PC software available, but it would be nice if it was able to map your route in the app perhaps with speed measurements plugged in on that map. All in all, the "app" for the 020 was quite rudimentary & crude, and it ain't like it's a cheap product at around 50 to 55 USD to DK. I tested in the car versus the speedometer and the car was a few km faster, but it goes without saying that a car's speedometer likely is reading a tad high to be safe than sorry but the positive with the 020 is the small size and relatively low weight that makes it valid for my quads, from FPV to Mavic... my unit weighs 36.5g.. the 015 aint much heavier at 45g SkyRC should really implement the mapping ability from the 015 into the more expensive and newer 020. if they already have, please give notice, cheers.
Good points! I read it with interest. I must admit that I have never really used the software for either one of these. I only need the top speed for my use. And yeah, I have tried some GPS speed meters in my 1/1 cars too. The speedometer on the car is always a few kph higher. Better safe than sorry 🙂 Thank you so much for watching and the comment.
Great video and great content! Just picked up the GSM020 mainly for a Vendetta but would also like to use it on my Typhon 6s, any mounting tips to allow for easy swaps? Thanks in advance!
Good to see the old one is still doing well. I keep playing a game with myself, to try figure out where in Denmark you are, it always looks so pretty and summery when I'm watching, even in March. Don't tell me, I'm still trying to figure it out...
He he, well, if you figure it out I hope you won’t tell me here, but in a private message 😅😉 Well, I try to shoot most of my outdoor videos when there is sunshine. That means 99% of the time I do not shoot outdoors. So it’s really not that summery here 😅
I'm dumb, at first I was thinking, how is he going to make sure that the battery and conditions were the same for 3 speed tests. Then you put all three GPSs on at once. Big Brain thinking there. ;) Sorry, it's been a long week.
Hi Mark! Ha ha, well, yeah, easiest is just to measure them at the same time 🙂 but with the thumbnail with them lined up next to each other I can see how it is also easy to think three different speed tests.
@@NordicRC its all good, I was wrong anyhow I must of been have asleep when I watched this the first time. I thought you didn't test all 3 gps units together, but you did, you had 2 on the rear spoiler & the 3rd unit inside the vehicle, so it's all good.. Thanks

That Arrma is an absolute riot! I thought my 4000KV Tamiya buggy is quick but that thing is crazy!
Yeah, it’s a cool one. And this is only 4S. Most people run these with 6S 😅🙂
That arrma is capable of 70mph bone stock. On 6s. And it can even go as fast as 140mph when fully upgraded 😱
Yeah, plenty of power with 4S and stock gearing, but not much top speed.

Great video, like the music to!
Thank you! And thanks a lot for watching!
Thank you very much.
You are welcome!
Great! From Brazil.
So I’m about to order either the 015 or 020. Which is better?
Depends on what you like. Stand-alone or app-based
Nordic RC Visions cool man thanks ordered the 020. Figured it’s a little superior as will allow me to log and save results.
great vid!
Thank you, Seal!
What is the bluetooth range if you put the GSM-020 on a RC plane? I wonder?
Not far I think, but it still keeps measuring even if you lose the Bluetooth range.
I'm just here for the catchy tunes
Ha ha 😅 A good reason
Do they do MPH?
You also should run the top spec batteries in there size it can take. Should you three s4s and 6s with it too it speeds with all those batteries.
It isn’t really the Typhon I am testing. Hundreds of videos with that on TH-cam. It’s the three speedometers.
How does it work? Does it lock to highest speed made in certain amount of time
With the new app-based one you can measure 0-100 kph and 0-60 mph and other stuff.
Hey you thinking of getting the Tao8 pro I think you need to test the speed on that tiny little RC too lol I hope you'll be getting a tc01 one day.

awesome 👍👍👍....😊😍😎💎🎵
Thank you! 🙃🙂
Did you put the speed pinion in that?
All stock
why not run all 3 units together at once? the newest model showed your speed the other two were at zero & your ran them separately?
Uhh been too long since I did this video to remember all details sorry

You're going to be speeding in that area lol.
Ha ha, yeah. I should have brought my Grasshoppers instead :-)
36 mph!? Thats all on 4s. Seems very slow for what it is.
Why? It’s an off road model
Yeah way to expensive when a 30 dollar one can do the same thing
