Jordan Greene Considering the Manga Misaki has alot of differences compared to the old Misaki (Actually winning major fights for one thing). To me that was one of the major flaws to old Misaki. She relied so much on probability with her memory that if anything went different she'd more than likely lose. Thats what I liked about Link Joker Misaki, She dropped the whole probability thing and went more offensive with her playstyle

I haven't watched the original in 3-4 years so I don't remember exactly, but it's not like they can't still do the probability route. What I don't like is that obvious "ride lines" everyone has. For example it would've been much better play to ride Tom and call Daughter, but Misaki did the opposite (and she would lose because of that strange habit later)
I'm actually starting to dig this version more then the original. Kai's not a massive douche like he was in the original, Morikowa doesn't instantly switch, Emi's starting to take a bigger role. I'm glad they also kept Aichi, Kamui, and Misaki remained similar to their original renditions.

I didn't think the cards in the show world are cardboard. I don't think the hollowgram system would work very well with cardboard. They also don't use sleeves which is odd because they could push their own sleeves in the show as well as the cards, so they are probably plasic or metal.
I really dislike how Misaki has already embraced her parents deaths, the original season of this was so much more heartwarming when it came to that part of the story
Justin Marchis it does make her a better character but note how I said “more heartwarming” and not a better character. I just really liked how heartwarming it was when Misaki finally embraces her parents death and uses the deck her parents built for her. I just like the emotions behind that part in the original season. She is a better character for it but that scene in the original season will always have a special place in my heart.
To be fair, her parents died years ago, so her coming to terms with it at this stage while she's in high school fits (it looks like 5-8 years have passed since her parents passing).

I took it to a local card shop and did quite well placing top 4. I ended up losing to original nouvelle because I didn't own any perfect guards. (Back then the were $20-30 a piece) After the tornament someone asked my opinion on their schwarzschild deck. I just sat there in awe of what a finished deck looked like. It blew my mind.
Uvindu Abeysekara Idk Asia circuit and Legion Mate were some ass, Only really bad arc G had was The Apostle arc and that was because the Apostles were just extreme letdowns. S1 of Og VG was alright, Link Joker was easily one of the greatest card game arcs imo. I'm not saying G was perfect, alot of my issues came from them forcing the Nostalgia down our throats instead of developing the side characters that couldve been great i.e. Mamoru, Enishi, etc.

She actually had situations that were relatable (getting out of her older Brothers shadow for example). Shes also the first Girl in a card game anime that could give the main protagonist in the anime near the ending huge pressure and chances to win. But in U20 thwy dropped all that for her to be obsessed with a character we only see for one episode.

The animators made a mistake or at least it looks like it to me. At the 5:00 min point we can see that Miwa is sitting at the table with Kai behind Kamui. If we jump to 5:12 you can see Miwa is still at the table with Kai. Now the part that doesn't make sense. Jumping to 5:21 were Miwa is now leaning into the railing behind Achi and his sister. Then move to 5:33 and you will see that Miwa is now back at the table with kai. If this was done intentionally I don't get it.

I´m really starting to like this game and it´s series. It actually shows some situations that you could really be confronted with when you play a card game. Like the nervousness some people have when they want to ask another person to a match. This show is in so many ways more realistic than Yu-Gi-Oh! for example. I need to get more into the game but I start to get the basics, even if it is a little bit more difficult to understand in english, because I´m a german. 😅

this series is super shallow. And amaterasu and tsukiomi actually looked way better than Imperial Daughter..
