I just want to comment saying it was this very video that properly introduced me to Rhythm Heaven for the first time, and after almost a year of studying the franchise, listening to and making custom remixes, and playing the DS game for myself, I sure am glad it happened. I think I thanked you in private for bringing this series to my attention before, Jon, but I want everyone who sees this to understand how impactful this one cover has been on me, as it led to me discovering a whole new franchise that has joined Gradius, Namco, and Mario as one of my favorite video game properties of all time. Hopefully I'll get to play Fever soon...
@@LaserTrapProductionsoh it's all synced, I think they just mean writing each specific tempo change on the sheet music itself - which is sort of a nitpick, arguably, but I guess I can imagine situations where a player who didn't know the song would benefit from that.
Jon bases all their arrangements on what they hear in the music, and as far as I'm aware, (usually) doesn't look at other people's transcriptions or arrangements until they've finished their own.
I just overlaid a video recording over the sheet music, I'm not actually playing it to my sheet music. The sheet music is more for anyone who wants to play it, and regardless is how I write all my arrangements.
The purpose was to make the piano arrangement. The overlay was a bonus thing that I don't usually do. I did it in one take, said "good enough", and therefore it is good enough for me. I achieved what I wanted.
No matter what rendition or cover, Remix 8's Lockstep segment always slaps
Nice Karate Man fail
HELP NOOO 💔💔😭😭😭😭

That's awesome!
I didn't know that remixes actually were complex music
Thank you! I’m trying to learn it on my piano now!!
good luck!
@@asho-moment indeed
This is the one song ive never been able to learn just because of how random it sounds. Hard to learn by ear because sheet music is for nerds
really well done! superb!
Epic
1:33 Ping pong fail
I’m surprised I only just saw it
*Boing*
Why you didn't marked the tempo change from 171 to 185 before the lockstep?
It's possible that I made a mistake! Those happen. Although I don't see the footage desync at all there, so I'm not sure what you mean.

I am well aware that Rhythm Heaven fanatics know all the exact tempo changes everywhere, haha. Maybe I should have used that info for this one!
Amazing
fun fact: remix 8 is already sequenced so you probably didnt have to write a sheet for it

You may have captured the composition but you need to represent the gameplay
