I always work from home, so not much change here for me. I work for a virtual school. But I do have my husband working from home and all 3 of our college age sons are home, so that is a bit of a challenge. It’s not like we have toddlers to feed, it’s an army! 😂 We are in Idaho. Downtown restaurants are closed except for delivery, but pretty much everything else is open. Last I heard they just want social gatherings under 10 people. But I think everyone is laying low. I love Zoya Tiana! One of my favs for spring! Hope you keep feeling better!

Hi Walker I’m glad you’re feeling better- no fun being 🤒. I understand how you feel about your video that you didn’t feel comfortable posting. I asked my aunt, if they ever lived through anything like this before- and she said NEVER. I’m prayerfully hoping things will resume to some type of normalcy sooner, than later. I love most of all Zoya greens and I love your green calla lily as well💅🏽. Again glad your feeling better and thank you so much for sharing 💅🏽😍💕

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. I am still working, which I am not happy about. But I am at least still getting paid, which is a blessing. My family is all home which is another blessing. Our state just closed all non essential businesses. I haven't really been in the mood to do nails, but I am going to work on it. I know I did them the other day and it really helped.

You have such a fun and sweet personality - I am glad I found your channel! And that you are feeling better! I had Flu-B in January and missed a week of teaching, which was super stressful! I was the same about nails and wore the same polish for nearly a week - SO not me, lol! But just getting something from across the room sapped my energy, so I just wasn’t into it. And recently, like you said, there have been days when I have not been into doing certain things I normally enjoy. I think it has been a roller coaster of emotions for most! ❤️

Yay 30 days of Walker! So excited! Being stuck at home trying to do distance learning with my kids is exhausting! I want to do my nails more often but my hands have been ruined by all the hand washing right now. So taking a break for a few days with a nail treatment polish and then I’ll get back to it!

Yay! So glad to see your video show up today! I’m sorry you were so sick and glad you’re feeling better. I hope you’re able to get tested eventually to know what it was for sure! I’m in California and we’ve been under a shelter in place order in my county for a week now. I’ve been out of work for several months and dealing with disability stuff so I’m used to being at home but it’s hard not seeing people whenever and grocery shopping is a bit of a nightmare. I’m still doing my nails once or twice a week and one project I have on my to do list is to go through my polish and get organized! I’m looking forward to your 30 days of videos! Take care! 😊

Here in Norcal, we are shut down except for essential businesses. I am WFH, which takes a little getting used to, as I find it hard to “turn off” once my workday is over. But, I am saving two delicious hours/day not commuting to & from my job! I am changing my nail polish almost every day, which is great fun. To my knowledge, I have not had COVID, and I would expect to know it if I had it, although a shocking number of people appear to be shedding the virus w/o having symptoms! I am glad you are getting better, I missed seeing and hearing from you.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. Several years ago, I tested negative for the flu, but positive for bronchitis. I laid around feeling really bad for 2 weeks. Being sick stinks. Anyway, I have been working everyday since last Tuesday from home. My hubby still has to drive in to work, as does my oldest son. My youngest son, a high schooler, is home with me, while schools are closed. As far as nails, I hope to change my polish color more often. I enjoy your videos. Stay safe and take care of yourself.

I'm sorry to hear you were sick and am glad you are feeling better! I wore Tiana myself recently and it is a little runny but gorgeous so it's worth it. I'm working from home indefinitely and like your city, mine is under shelter in place. I haven't left the house in 7 days but I am constantly filming lectures and zoom meeting with students, so there is some human contact there!

Happy to have you back. We have pretty similar situations. I work for an essential service but I am lucky enough to be able to work from home. No cases in my city but I'm being careful and staying home. All nonessential services are closed out here as well. I think you're being smart about how you consume the news. If my job didn't depend on it, I'd also keep it to a minimum. I'm glad you're feeling better!

I basically touch people for a living so I'm out of work and a paycheck until we get this under control. I live outside San Francisco and have basically been a shut-in for the past 10 days. Feeling super fortunate though to have some savings I can live off for at least a little while, I know many people in my position are not that lucky. Hoping the world can get this under control sooner rather than later! Hope everyone is staying healthy and safe out there!

Glad you are better! I have been a stay at home mom to my special needs son since my job ended in June 2018. He is nonverbal autistic and requires 24hr supervision. School has been out for 12 days and it has been challenging. I also have an 80 year old mom with COPD who lives with us. Luckily my husband helps a TON with caring for both. I really need to go back to work soon.

Hello from the UK 🇬🇧 School’s here have been out for 2 weeks, all non essential businesses have been closed since Monday, no going out unless it’s for essentials (food, medicines etc ) we are advised to only go out to exercise once a day and to stay 2 metres away from anyone else, you can travel to and from work if you are a key worker (which technically I am) but even my firm as from this Tuesday have said stay at home. We are lucky here the government has agreed to pay 80% of our wages for 3 months if we are furloughed. All elderly (over70) and the venerable have been told to self isolate for 12 weeks. Practice self distancing, staying at home will help to save lives and keep our NHS from being overwhelmed and able to help the people who really needs it.
I think I might paint my nails everyday to get through my mountain if untried, that’s if my cat 🐈 will let me!!
    Stay safe and healthy 💕

    Wow, what a beautiful color!!
My state has shut down (NJ). My job is essential (patient care), so I feel like time is standing still around me while the world has completely stopped. It’s really scary. With all of the hand washing, I have been neglecting my nails. I’m hoping this weekend I can relax and do some quarantine activities (Netflix binge, coloring books, nail painting, crafting). With the pandemic, I have been working more but I definitely am not complaining about that.

So glad you're feeling better! Must've been scary not to know what it was! I've been staying/working from home for almost two weeks now but my state (IA) is finally also imposing restrictions to encourage that. I have bought some nail polish from smaller/independent companies that I fear will struggle through this time. Thankfully my job will stay as is, just from home. I'm very lucky in that. I do have anxiety anyway though so this hasn't been the best few weeks of my life. I'm glad to hear you'll be making videos--distractions are great right now to unwind!

    On a personal note.
I'm in healthcare (ophthalmology) and we're still going in to help our patients but the appointments are limited to only sight threatening which is good for everyone's safety but it's still all very nerve-wracking and stressful..cuz you just never know.

I'm glad you're feeling better! Thanks for the tip about the Times virus stuff being free. Here they've stopped short of calling to shelter-in-place but they keep threatening it like a parent who really, really doesn't want to discipline their kid who keeps sneaking out to party. Most of the non-essential businesses have closed but since I'm deemed essential (yay? Could they pay us accordingly then?) I still have to go in which means my days haven't changed too much. I just now don't have to deal with customers and can't stop at the grocery store on my way home because nothing is open when I get off anymore. :( Snow envy and I'm really looking forward to your extra videos.

Glad to hear you are doing well and feeling better. I live in the Bay Area (San Francisco & surrounding cities around the bay, for those that aren’t familiar), and it’s been crazy. We’ve been on lock down for quite some time and it’s so strange seeing such a big metro city so empty and desolate. Cabin fever has definitely set in. I do corporate tax so, I’ve been CRAZY busy and have not had any pampering time. This is my busiest time and it’s gotten even worse with what all is happening. Nonetheless, I’m super grateful to be working and still earning as I feel for so many that are not. Gotta always remember the positives in times like these! Best wishes to all the Olive Ave Nail Family/Community and stay safe and healthy everyone!!!!

I'm still working, but my boyfriend is out of the job at least until April 7th but probably longer. It's been stressing me out that people still don't understand how big of an issue we're facing. They're choosing to be ignorant and uninformed and it's compromising other people's health and they don't even care. I don't know how to cope with the public ignoring credible information & putting the rest of us in danger. Sorry, that got a little intense... I live in California and we're all under a "shelter in place" order, but people aren't taking it seriously.

So glad you're feeling better :) it's definitely been crazy, I'm in NJ right across the river from NYC so everything is shutting down. Right now I'm able to do some work from home, but my job isn't really set up for it, I just happen to wear multiple hats lol so it isn't really sustainable. And while there is some panic about taking a financial hit, I just feel calm knowing I'm staying home and doing my part in trying to prevent the spread! I'm also looking at this time as a blessing; for so long I felt so drained from work and my work/life balance that I was like desperately craving a break, and now I have ALL THE TIME! I'm enjoying waking up and having slow mornings, being able to meditate without feeling rushed to get ready, having the time to read my books and reflect, the time to be creative!! It just makes me so happy which sounds crazy considering the circumstances lol. I've still been painting my nails every few days though, maybe I'll move that to a daily routine!

I work in management at a pizza chain. Here in KS we officially shut down state wide tonight at midnight. So far our store is still allowed to keep all employees.
I do my nails daily. If I go two days the screens chip off my polish as I'm putting them away. So if we happen to have to close, I will be able to get back into nail art so I can enjoy each manicure longer. But I'd say my manicures take about 30 min each night. About 5 talking off, 10 - 12 for polishing, and 15 for dry time. I use Fast and Hard topcoat by Vibrant Vinyls; it's my fave by far. Sometimes it can take an hour, hour and a half, and that's usually when I'm paying too much attention to what I'm watching on Netflix has opposed to actually polishing. Lol.
I love how you mentioned there we're able to actually take time for some self care. For one, I feel like this is exactly what that is for a lot of us. And for two, more importantly I think, that we don't do enough of that. I ❤ that you brought this to attention. If anything, I feel like this quarantine will give us some of that time that so many of us desire and probably need. And to give us time to work on some projects that we've been putting off. I think it'll make us feel more balanced, and to a point, better with ourselves. At least I hope so.
This time will be difficult for so many people, but I hope we can look at the Silver Lining, and appreciate the good aspects that come along with it.

Glad to know you're feeling better. I did notice that you weren't posting anymore. Was a little worried...
I live in Laval, Quebec (Montreal suburb) and schools have been closed since Friday the 13th, so my three kids have been at home with me. My husband is also working from home right now and had to take a temporary 10% pay cut for three months. Not a huge problem for now, because he makes a good salary and we don't have much debt. But he's worried about possible layoffs... I'm a college teacher and we might have to start "teaching from home" as of next week. We'll see how that goes... I'm not convinced that we can give fair evaluations this way and I teach biology so of course, labs are out of the question. Still waiting to see what kind of support they're going to put in place for us to support our students from a distance. As for the rest, only essential businesses are open, just like you. Take care Walker. From the symptoms you described, I wouldn't be surprised if you had it already!
