Wayne Napier - "Good-by Twenty, Hello Ten" (1972)

Folk-rock. Discography sites say this record is from 1971, but the Billboard clipping above is from June 24, 1972. Assuming that the clipping refers to this record-Napier's only release on the Leaf label-the single was recorded at Rusty York's Cincinnati studio in June of '72 with Napier playing everything except drums. Flip side is "Lazy Afternoon." Napier continued to record into the 2000s, and some of his later recordings on his own JAKLA label are on TH-cam and streaming platforms.

THIS SINGER HAD AN EXCELLENT VOICE. AS SOMETIMES OCCURS WITH THESE OBSCURE SINGERS, I COULD FIND NO INFORMATION ABOUT HIM ON THE WWW EXCEPT FOR A SHORT INTRODUCTORY NOTICE ON FACEBOOK ABOUT HIS DEATH. I TRIED TO LOG INTO FACEBOOK BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THEY KEPT SCREWING UP MY G.MAIL ACCOUNT #, WOULD SEND ME A PASSWORD CODE THAT FLASHED ON AND DISAPPEARED SO FASTLY THAT I COULDN'T WRITE IT DOWN, ETC. I GAVE UP.🙉🙈
