Phu Quoc Vietnam 🇻🇳 - Not What We Expected at All.....!

DESCRIPTION
As part of our tour round SE Asia we spent a week on the island of Phu Quoc. As we travelled around the full extent of development on the island began to unfold and as you'll see I'm not sure we liked what we saw. It was like Disney on speed. Completely false with fake towns, piped in music and unfinished shops, hotels and apartments with painted windows. There were even Gondolas on a false canal system in a fake Venice. Worst of all there were literally thousands of empty bed spaces.
On the positive side we got to ride on the world's longest cable car at roughly 5 miles in length, acted like children in Aquatopia and made our usual round of visits to waterfalls, museums and this time also a prison and the fish sauce factory. It's a long Vlog but there is much to show you.

I think it's a prime example of how much the Chinese and Russian tourist market is worth. It must work though because the large corporate behind it all has done the same in a number of other places. Gald you enjoyed the video. All the best, Mike & Chez
