Thanks for going over your thought process. I can appreciate it very much. Been on this same approach for a few years now. Great Focus! Can’t wait to see your progress as it develops. Congratulations on the 💥 bazooka kaboomie Mantle
This is a great video. There’s so much truth in the big card pick up at these big shows. I can only speak for myself in response to this and say that I have streamlined my collection down considerably. Buying the big card at these big shows makes sense for my collecting style.
@@SammyThunder Thanks for watching Sammy. I definitely buy a lot of small stuff and will never probably stop but I’m shifting my funds to a higher percentage for big cards. Although it’s been 3 days and I’m still thinking about the Clarks Bread Wally Pipp….
Great 71 Munson Keith! I’m going to a card show next saturday. Gonna buy a sain/spahn dual photo autograph and gonna look at every dollar box I can! Great video. You’re getting way better
I have noticed a movement where people are only buying big expensive cards. I even see a lot of people selling off a lot of cards to fund them. I’m still a big collection guy myself and want them all.
@@MrJmangini Thanks for watching! Sorry I missed you and Sammy Saturday I went Friday. Curious to see what you bought that I might have passed by! I am definitely a big collection guy and I don’t sell anything. Hoarder? Maybe. But I’m starting to view condition more closely and shifting a larger percentage of my budget to bigger cards. At least for now. Shoulda probably bought the Wally Pipp though. 😕
Great video! The junkwax fan in me loves your 88 Donruss purchase! For me, the big card purchase is all about budget. My card budget is the biggest it's ever been. I've always wanted these cards and figure if I don't buy them now, I'll never have them!😂
@@billyballgamesportscards Can’t pass up a $10 wax box! It’s funny cause it’s like a 13 year old stopped buying cards than a 47 year old started buying them again with an adult budget and the 13 year old collectors brain.
@@Canadian_Cards Thanks for watching! Definitely adjusting my quality standard’s recently. Condition has become a bigger factor to me lately than quantity but my desire for the card kind of dictates what condition I want it in.
Great discipline getting the stuff you want and avoiding some of the others. Every time I look to get a Venezuelan, I think the same thing, and figure I'd rather spend the money on an original card for my collection. I agree about that feeling when you've made an offer and then suddenly realize you hope the dealer doesn't take it.
Way to stick to your style of collecting and not just buying for the video! I think we all change over time. You still got some cool stuff and still have a bunch of money left saved for the big boys!
LOL. So we're supposed to base our love for players on cause of death now? Silly me, i thought it was how they played/impacted the game. In your opinion what is more respectable: old age, plane crash or disease? Want to know so i can re-rank my all faves accordingly.
Great video, thanks for sharing.

Loved hearing your views as you were going through the show. Love the 56 Campy, you got a beautiful example.

Interesting story. Thanks for sharing.

Great video. I want to have the discipline to chase only bigger cards, but I always manage to get sidetracked by other things.

Liked your story. Found your channel by accident. Just subscribed.
Appreciate it! Just subbed you back. Believe I’ve watched you on some lives.
You’ve got me excited to go tomorrow. It’s about 3 hours each way for me but have some bigger cards (for me) on my list too.

awesome video my guy new sub
Hey new sub...I often wonder to your point, perhaps collectors are going for the Quality over Quantity...great pickups and thoughts...cheers!!

Mantle..Gin soaked liver. Died of Alcoholism. Why is he in our highest regards?

We all have flaws. I collect the baseball player not the man. Glasss houses my friend. Thanks for watching.
Everyone has something dark about them.....even you. Don't judge. Bible is clear about that.
Not a huge fan of Mantle. Nothing personal and we all have demons. I’m just pissed he stole Teddy’s triple MVP in ‘41. 🤬.406!
