      You’d be able to access a good amount of the bolts, but I’d imagine you’d have to still take the timing cover off the side to hold the chain still

    I can’t believe Honda world make such a low quality part. There qc is bad compared to the older hondas. I got a ‘18 2.0t accord sport but I am not sure if mine is leaking. I am interested to change the pcv valve though since my oil consumption seems rather quick. Just had an oil change done 3 weeks ago but now my maintenance meter says 15% that’s ridiculous. First time this has happened for the 6 years I owned my vehicle purchased brand new from dealer and kept up with maintenance. Is changing the valve cover something a rookie like me could do? You make it look so easy but idk if it’s not necessary id rather not 😅 just the pcv valve since I ready those are best replaced at 60k I’m on 75,600 miles now

      Check the back of the engine, near the intake manifold. That's the common spot where it leaks out of. If it's a major puddle, I'd go ahead and get it done, its an easy job to tackle for peace of mind

    Nice job. How many miles? Have you had the valves adjusted?

    • @Qius_Cars
      @Qius_Cars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      33k when done, no need for a valve adjustment yet! Could’ve gotten away without replacing even with the valve cover leak, but it’s a good reason to paint one 🙂

    Awesome video! Thanks for the upload ❤ I will definitely rewatch this in the near future if i ever run into this issue.
    Btw Do you know what usually causes these kind of leaks on the 2.0t accords and type Rs and how to prevent it? Also, at what milage did you start to notice the leaks? My 22 2.0t is at 7k miles. Stock with the exception of a afe drop in filter and ktuner stage 2. Thanks!

    • @Qius_Cars
      @Qius_Cars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There doesn't really seem to be a prevention step for these motors, it's likely just a bad manufactured gasket. I've seem people either have the issue or don't, but thankfully if you do, it's not a major problem. I'd keep an eye on it if you do have a leak towards the rear where the intake manifold is. If it starts leaking in the front I'd say that's when you want to replace it!
