  • Here's a quick and easy way to make an awesome heavy duty paracord dog leash for around 10 bucks. The only thing I forgot to mention is you should leave the two outside tag ends longer than the middle 2 lines in order to make the leash long enough without having to switch to the inside lines for tags. Thanks for watching

      Thank you very much! You will love it. They feel great for walks and look cool when thrown over your shoulder at the dog parks and so forth. Always a fun conversation starter

    I have been using this leash everyday for 4 months now and it works and looks great. I will make a collar video soon. I have made a few collars already and they are really cool

      How long is the leash you made? I want to make one for Rat Terrier Chihuahua.

    Thanks for sharing, this is really helpful and I'm enjoying making this leash! I may have missed it, but I didn't see how you transitioned to the handle. I used the outside strands the entire leash length, so of course they're much shorter than the inner strands.

      Thank you and that's awesome! Yeah I failed to keep the inner strands shorter than the outside so I have a knot where they switch places though barely noticeable. Basically you can simply place two tag ends through the leash at desired length and continue to weave those back over themselves. I cut the other two tags off and lighter melted the ends before continuing the weave. I'll show it better next time! Great to hear this helped at all though!

    OMG! The white background is So Much Better! The video instructions are great and I’m going to use them. However, Just an FYI: I have MS and I am super sensitive to visual disturbances. The less than smooth camera work and the blue plaid background and then 2 more colors on top of that made this so hard to watch. I had to slow the speed down and zoom in to minimize all the different movements. This is just my experience. Maybe something to consider. Thanks. 😊

    I don’t know why but I missed it in the beginning where you said how much cord it took. I even played the vid back several times. Kinda important to know how cord you need to start with!!

      Sorry for the late response. 50 feet total. Each strand is 25 feet. I did mention that in the beginning lol

      @@fml5910 Yeah but it's worth it! You can make it a little shorter but always good to have more than enough when starting out

    It looks amazing, well done. How long did it take you to make the lead?

    You used two cords each 25 feets right?
    So while weaving the cords you made the 2 cords equally to half so it's length was 12feet and 6 inches right ?
    So what was the total lenght of the leash ?🤔
    Mine i tried with same lenght of cords but the length of the leash till where the first cords ends is 30 inches😁
    Is your leash's length approximately same with mine or have i made mistake somewhere ?🤔
    Please let me know.😊
    And thanks in advance 👍️
    I really enjoy your videos 😍 💕

      Yes that is correct but mine turned out I believe around 5 feet. I wish I could describe this better but I’ve learned over the years that you can make the two middle strands only about 6 feet long before starting. It saves so much Paracord. So the insides would be 6 or 7 feet because they don’t get shorter as you are weaving and the two outside strands would be about 18 feet long each. See what I’m saying? This will ensure you have lots of extra and can make it longer if you would like. You can always add more paracord to your existing leash now that it’s already done. I’ll have to make a video on joining them together. Thank you and I hope this helps!!

    How muck cordwill it take to make a 5ft or 6ft lead?

    • @Shredderundergod
      @Shredderundergod  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This lead is about 5 feet long. You will need about 50 feet total. You can get away with less if you start with the middle lines shorter than the outside lines. The middle only have to be a little longer than the final length you are going for

    how many meters did you occupy

    • @Shredderundergod
      @Shredderundergod  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 2 starting strands were 25 feet which is 7.62 meters each.
      The final length was 4.5 feet or 1.37 Meters. You can make it a bit longer with this much paracord but this is a pretty comfortable length for me.
