I have already learned a lot about joins from your sql course and other sql courses, but in this video, the part where you join the demographics and job title tables via employee name is such a clear and clever way of explaining again how the joins work. It consilidated my understanding for joins. Way to go alex!
Great summary of joins! I love the way you explain all of these concepts and functions so clearly. It makes learning wayyyyy more fun. As always, THANK YOU!
I was so scared of joins but I have learned joins from your sql video in my semester break , Now joins are on my finger tips .Since my concept are clear , this video was so easy to follow up .
Hello Aled sir, Thank you so much for this tutorial. I learned tableau in a very easy way. I was facing a problem for 2 months and by these 5 parts I got it. Thank you to adding each feature, especially you are elabarating each types like average, sum, count why they using. Good job
Thank you for this tutorial, I am really learning a lot. Apart from this tutorial but Mr. Alex you are really good looking which gives some of us hope to keep on learning.............
Can you make an in depth video on data granularity and LOD's(ok, two :)? Found these topics of great importance for understanding Tableau and its power
Thanks so much Alex However I need help!!! My joined table is not showing but rather it's saying "data preview unavailable" what do I do please Pov I am using Tableau public
Apparently, since this video has been posted, they've updated Tableau. Now, it spits out all the join info for you automatically. I'm going to do many things, but complain ain't one of them.
Hi Alex, But off topic, but I have a question about learning my data analytics skills. I am currently learning Python. Now I saw you highly recommended the Google data analytics course. Is it worth to do both courses simultaneously? Or should I choose on or another? Side note, until the end of the year I can work full time on courses.
google data analytics is only for the fundamental understanding of what you do as a data analyst and basics in all the different skills e.g. google sheets, sql, R, etc. If you are already learning python then better off focusing on that and going more in depth with the other skills and then completing some projects
I have a question not about tableau. I just wanted to ask you and this was your latest video. The question is there is a path in LinkedIn Learning to become a Data Analyst and it is for free and was there before Google Certificate and IBM too. But no one talk about it and if it is good or not, if it is updated or it is old for nowadays data analyst career, and a comparison between the 3 of them. And a small tip for google and IBM, we don't have jobs we do not have money to bay for Coursera why do not make the full course on your site if u do not get any revenue from Coursera
Alex, you look much better without those glasses =). What I do not understand about this example is: Does it assume that the user is aware (or unaware) of the missing data? I would have to think that if one was aware of the missing data, the better option is to simply update the original data source, so if the user were unaware of the data issue, what is your suggestion as to how this would materialize during the selection of Joins? (In this example, I believe you were searching for it only because you were aware of it, so just questioning how obvious it might be for the average, unaware user.). Thank you.
Enough to get you started and understand what Tableau can do - I would do some projects (which I have one already up and one that's coming out on Tuesday of next week)

Where do we get the Tableau Joins file at???? Help Are we supposed to be following along? Where is the file at? Thanks in advance
when will be the remaining part is going to be uploaded?
I'm not sure to understand why not simply doing relations instead of joins ? (still new to Tableau but experienced with PowerBI)
Thanks you 🙏
Great thanks
But like if i have null in my tableau, it means I was doing something wrong in my SQL/Excel

How do we join the data if they are from two separate files?
so you made the joins but for the visualisation you didnt use it, correct ? or am i understanding this wrong ?
My Measures and Tables didn't get the names of the Excel file tabs. I have no idea why.
I'm unable to download the join file from github

Aren't joins easiest & best in SQL, then in excel power query, & least in Tableau?
Please upload microstrategy tutorial videos aswell. The youtube has very less content about it.
THANKS
Thank you
Thanks♡♡
Your tableau join file has an "xlsx" extension. It does not download correctly. Maybe you meant "xls".
